Thursday 27th, Photoshoot,
Final photographs that we did from the photoshoot. Overall, I'm happy how the pictures and the garment turned out on the camera. I think that the makeup and hair I did, goes well with my piece as you're able to see the neck piece from the back by styling the hair up. I'm quite proud and happy for myself as I've never worked with leather material before and also with silk. During the journey and process I learned a lot through, creating, sketching, coordinating etc and enjoyed creating the piece as I had fun doing it.

On Monday 24,
I Sewed all three pieces, the two halves of top and the back strip onto the skirt , It was a bit challenging as I had to make sure the front were sewed to create this V shape also My goal was to make the leather top piece lines details to be connecting through he skirt so there's just one straight line coming through.
At the end I sewed the rose on top of the leather piece to create a look where the silk material starts at skirt and flows around back of neck to end with a flower.

On Thursday 20th,
I created second half of the top from silk material of the jacket and sew it together.
When observing the skirt , what stood out to me was the fluff from the backside of leather material, as it kept on falling off as a result ,After looking through my left over material, I decided to bring the silk onto the skirt by sewing it underneath.
Not only it looks better and brings out more of the colour but also is smoother to put on and comfortable.

On Friday, 21,
I've just done few adjustments to the skirt by sewing small leather piece into the corner as the sharp edge stood out to me and I didn't like how it looked. Sewing it on made the line at the front more straighter, which I was happy about.
I also folded one of the sides and sewed it in , because the waist for the skirt was too big and had awkward gap on the side and mostly on the back. The process was bit more slower and time consuming as I tried to sew a straight line on top where it was already made.
At same time as the material was thicker, I did mostly hand stitching, instead of machine.

On Wednesday 19th,
I've created few other ideas that I came up when I finished creating my leather skirt for the top. These are just few ideas I wanted to try out on the mannequin incase It looked interesting.

On Wednesday 19th,
I focused on creating the red skirt. I started off by folding and pinning the edges and sewing it to give a clean look. I tried my best to make the edges to be close as possible and zipper not to be seen. I like the way the skirt is asymmetrical, as a result I focused on making it clean, sharp and not too many things sewn on it to distract it away from the bright red colour.
Next I sewed the zipper onto the borders which took more time then I expected because the folded leather material make it twice as thick.
These are just few things I've managed to create later on the day, which is a flower from silk material by folding and sewing it together.
Created half of the bust by folding the edges and sewing them together as well.

On Tuesday 18th,
I spoke to Linda and got few good tips on how to sew the zipper onto the garment and different ways to use the garment design for sustainable use.
I decided I wanted to create the red leather skirt but still was unsure of the top. I came up with different designs by pinning the pieces different ways onto a mannequin. As I kept creating various designs, I kept on coming up with different ideas.
I was exploring my two options between using a camo top and red top but as for my time management I chose to work on them later and focus on my red leather skirt

On Monday 17th
We had a workshop with Ruth, where we explored different techniques through embroidery and applique. We had to choose a motif or picture design to work on through embroidery. I didn't have any pictures so I experimented on a simple fabric.
Ruth showed us how to do different embroidery stitches like stem stitch, chain and back stitch, which was helpful to know variations of techniques as I only knew one.
I won't be using any of designs on my garment because I don't think its necessary, it would pull away the main purpose of it which is to make it sharp, clean and classy, same time the material is too thick for it to be embroidered but I might use this knowledge sometime in future.

On Thursday 30th,
I sketched out six main pieces that I found most appealing and interesting from different angles. During choosing which ones i wanted to pick, I kept on placing them on mannequin and looking through my other sketchbooks, to find the favourite.

From all the looks I created on a mannequin I sketched 12 of them in my sketchbook, to see approximately how will they look on a persons body. The sketching was useful to me for considering which 6 main pieces I want to choose from and draw out from all 3 angles.

On Tuesday 28th,
I created six looks from inspiration of 2 different outfits, I created on mannequin. I will not be using these but I just sketched few to explore different ideas I had in mind if I had limitless material to work with.
I found out that using one of the things you've created can also lead you to get inspired to create various of other ideas..

On Monday 27th,
I had stuck 12 looks onto my sketchbook, to have them laid out and organized. I thought of drawing them out but before doing it, Mairead advised me to copy print them black and white to see the details and volumes more clearly.
This helped me a lot and as a result was able to draw them but on top of that trace them onto tracing paper which allowed me to outline it precisely plus uncover few touches such as where garment bends and how tight it is or bended.

On 24th March,
I created more looks by combining two garments together, my goal was to seek different possibilities and create at least 12 versions. My favorite part about them is the way I turned camo pants upside down into a top and the neck piece from the red garment into a belt as well as transforming the bust into red leather shorts.

On Friday 24th March,
Continuing on from creating few looks by using the red garment I sketched majority of them which I liked the most. But instead of drawing a croque for every single top, I came up with an idea to draw one to save time and print out most all the looks.
The Goal was to use the croque as a model to be able to put all possible looks on top of it and switch around very freely.
I also created small pocket and stucked it on the page to place all the cut out looks.

Fashion
On 24th Friday
I deconstructed the red jacket and camo pants, recorded my process in my sketchbook and at same time researched what they are made of, what material and brand they came from/ their origin.
The process took longer then I thought as I realized the jacket is made of three layers, the leather, fluff and synthetic fabric attached together within but also gave me more fabric to work with and created few ideas on how to use them.
I started to experiment with different looks with the red material to discover what can be created with only this source of fabric before introducing the second garment. camouflage pants.

Fashion Deconstruction
On Thursday 23/03/23
I deconstructed the black shirt and sweater, from doing that I quickly realized the garment would be difficult to work with as all of the pieces were overlocked meaning the garment would just fall apart and be challenging to reconstruct at same time both pieces didn't have much fabric to work with, as a result I chose different garments that I found at my house.
Unworn red leather Jacket and old camouflage pants.
