Jaehwa hurried to move his car into the garage so Soohwan was not waiting too long. Parking and jogging back to the front entrance he makes his way to the elevator and notices all the boxes have been moved inside. He nods at the others words. "Yeah we can go sounds good. Im glad I dont have a whole lot of stuff, makes moving so much easier." He smiles and looks up at the other. "And thanks for moving all those boxes inside the elevator and all your help in general, I really appreciate it."
The elevator doors shut and began moving up to their floor. "Are you hungry? We can stop and eat somewhere before we go grocery shopping. My treat, a thank you for all your help." As the elevator reached the floor, the door slide open and Jaehwa grabbed a couple of the boxes and both began moving them out into the hall taking out the mattress last. Letting the door slide shut behind him Jaehwa followed Soohwan down the hall to their front door. They quickly brought all of Jaehwas belongings into his new room and he started to unpack.
justjaehwa:
The meeting with his new roommate had gone well. After leaving and driving back to his apartment, Jaehwa already began to pack up a few boxes before heading to bed. The following day Jaehwa finished packing up all his things and began to load his boxes into his car. He was happy he didnt have a lot of stuff so all his boxes were able to fit in one load. Only big item he had was his mattress which he loaded and strapped to the top of his car making sure I was secure before heading out of the parking garage. Leaving his old apartment he waved as he drove off making his way to his new home.
As he turned the corner to the street his new home was one he couldnt help but feel a little excited and nervous, but wishing for the best. Jaehwa had faith he and his new roommate would get a long great.
Luckily there was a place available right in the front of the apartments so he quickly parked an hopped out. Adjusting his ball cap he shot Soohwan a quick text letting him know he was out front. He then proceeded to open his back door and unloaded a couple of the lighter boxes stacking them on top of each other and picking them both up a once then make his way to the front entrance.
While Soohwan was waiting for Jaehwa to arrive, he made sure move a couple of things out of the way so neither of them would trip over them while carrying the other’s things inside. When he received the text, he quickly put on his sneakers and rushed downstairs, making sure to grab the parking permit that he got for Jaehwa the other day so he would be able to park his car in the parking garage.
Upon seeing Jaehwa, Soohwan beamed with a big and excited smile. Opening the front door, he pulled it back until it snapped into the door stopper to keep it open so they could easily move in and out without having to worry about the door being in the way.
“Just put everything down next to the elevator for now then you can go park your car in the parking garage before we load everything in the elevator and take it upstairs.”, he said and waited for Jaehwa to put the boxes he was holding down before handing him the parking permit with the parking spot number on it. “Got this for you yesterday so you wouldn’t have to park out on the street somewhere. Every spot is numbered so it shouldn’t be hard to find.”, he smiled.
Walking outside to Jaehwa’s car, he helped him unload all of his things then proceeded to move everything into the elevator while the other was putting his car in the garage. By the time Jaehwa got back, Soohwan had moved all the boxes and stuff into the elevator and was keeping the door open for the other to join him so they could take everything upstairs. “I haven’t gone grocery shopping yet so maybe we can go together after you’ve settled it. Will give us a chance to discuss the fridge organisation.”, he chuckled.

The meeting with his new roommate had gone well. After leaving and driving back to his apartment, Jaehwa already began to pack up a few boxes before heading to bed. As he turned the corner to the street his new home was one he couldnt help but feel a little excited and nervous, but wishing for the best. Jaehwa had faith he and his new roommate would get a long great.
Luckily there was a place available right in the front of the apartments so he quickly parked an hopped out. Adjusting his ball cap he shot Soohwan a quick tet letting him know he was out front. He then proceeded to open his back door and unloaded a couple of the lighter boxes stacking them on top of each other and picking them both up a once then make his way to the front entrance.
justjaehwa:
“Well, I dont know much about designing a space I usually keep it pretty simple. You definitely wont see me trying to change things.” With a small snicker he moved up to the looked out the balcony doors then glances back at soohwan giving another small laugh at his words. “I promise, you dont have to worry about me peeking.” Jaehwa followed soohwan through the rest of the apartment peeking in at the bathroom then walking into the spare bedroom he looked around in approval.“This room is actually bigger than my last one, it could be a nice change. I like the place, its a convienient location for me and you seem like a cool person soohwan.” Scrathing the back of his neck he looked up at Soohwan giving him a big smile, “So, when can I move in?”
Soohwan was glad that the other seemed to like the place and his choice of interior. However, when Jaehwa complimented him, he couldn’t help but feel a bit awkward because he wasn’t exactly great when it came to accepting compliments, especially when they were directed at him as a person and his personality even though, he was definitely appreciative.
Taken by surprise by the sudden question of when he could move in, Soohwan just stared at Jaehwa for a moment, blinking a couple of times before finally speaking up after clearing his throat. “I mean, if you really want to move in then whenever it’s suitable for you. We can just take care of the paperwork after you’ve settled in. Just let me know and I’ll make sure to be around to help you with your stuff.”
Of course, he knew that he should probably take care of the paperwork first but he didn’t get the impression and that Jaehwa wasn’t trustworthy so he figured that it could wait until after he had moved in.
A couple days later it’s moving day. Soohwan got up early and pacing back and forth in the living room, waiting for Jaehwa to arrive with his things.

justjaehwa:
Listening to Soohwan, we slightly nodded at his words. “Sounds like me a few years ago. I was doing some random computer tech jobs through university to make some money on the side and living with my parent until I was about 25. I know the pressure put on by ones self or family to decide on a career right after highschool, but I know so many old friends who are just unhappy with what they do. I told myself I was not going to be like that. I think its smart to try different things until you find something you really enjoy, and you look pretty young so you have time to figure all that out. I was undecided for the first two years I was in college.” With a half grin he looked up at the other then looked ahead stepping out of the elevator following the young man to a door not far down the hallway.
As Soohwan opened the door and motioned for Jaehwa to go ahead he moved past the other steping into the roomy apartment and taking his shoes off at the entrance where he noticed a couple pair already. With a wide eyed, impressed expression on his face he scanned the front room. “Wow, this is a really nice place. I like what you’ve done with it.” Nodding to himself in approval he stood still waiting for Soohwan to enter and show him around. “The floor plans dont really do it justice, and I bet its a nice view from the windows being this high up.”
Honestly, Soohwan was glad that Jaehwa seemed to be understanding after he had explained what his current situation is. He may not earn a lot of money working odd jobs here and there but he always made sure to at least make ends meet so if Jaehwa was going to move in with him, he’d definitely reassure him that he wouldn’t have to worry about him not paying his part of the rent and utilities.
“You do?”, he asked, a little surprise clearly obvious in his voice. “The last two people who came to look at the place didn’t seem to like it because they were asking if they would be able to change things around if they’d move and while I don’t mind things being added or rearranged, they basically wanted to throw out all of the existing furniture and replace them with different stuff.”, he explained, heaving a sigh when he was done.
“Yeah, the view is pretty awesome. There’s also a big balcony that’s accessible through the living room and connects to my bedroom.”, he paused and look at Jaehwa with narrowed eyes but smirking, “No peeking into my bedroom, though, you hear me?” A laugh followed his words before he made his way further into the apartment past the kitchen area then pointed to the left. There’s the bathroom which is the only one but it’s spacious and has a shower and a tub. To the right is my bedroom and to the left is the room you’re probably most interested in, the other bedroom.“
Going ahead, he made his way to the room and waited for Jaehwa to follow him. "My old roommate left his bed, desk, and a couple of drawers behind which you could use if you’d like but if you have your own furniture then I can also throw them out.”

justjaehwa:
“Oh great thats good to know, I dont mind parking on the street but for winter its nice to be able to park inside. Its also good to know they have it guarded too.”
He nodded and smiled following Soohwan over to the elevator and stepping in before Soohwan. “Thanks” He looked up at Soohwan as the elevator doors shut. “I work for the gaming company Nexon, I’m a junior programmer and I’ve been working with the general game design as well. It’s a lot of work but its doing what I love so I have no complaints.” He smiled looking down before returning his gaze to Soohwan. “How about you?”
When Jaehwa explained what it was that he did for a living, Soohwan’s eyes subconsciously widened slightly in amazement before he snapped out of it and nodded his head with a smile. “I don’t really know much about programming and only a little bit about game design but it definitely does sound interesting.” It was most definitely more interesting than any job he ever had so far. He went to college and got a degree in media and communications but hasn’t really figured out what he wants to do.
Looking away for a moment, Soohwan hesitates to answer but then decides that in case Jaehwa moves in, he’ll find out about it anyhow so he might as well tell him right away to get it out of the way.
“I’m kind of sort of unemployed right now. I mean, technically, not really because I do work odd jobs here and there to make some money but I haven’t really figured out what I want to do. I was thinking of maybe doing my master’s degree in media and communications but I’m not sure yet.”, he said with a shrug, hoping that Jaehwa wouldn’t judge him for not having figured his life out yet.
He felt a bit awkward but thankfully they had just reached the fifth floor which was announced by the recording of a female voice coming from the speakers. “Ah, here we are.” Stepping out of the elevator, he made sure that Jaehwa is following him before he made it down the hallway to the last door. “This is it, apartment 503.”, he said with a smile then punched in the security code while standing in between Jaehwa and the panel in order to block his view. When the short melody played that signaled that the door was unlocked, he pulled it open and used his hand to motion for the other to get inside first.

justjaehwa:
As the young man approached and greeted him he smiled bowing his head back at the young mans greeting, smiling up at him.
“Nice to meet you as well, Soohwan. Oh yeah, It was very easy to find. It’s only about five minutes or so from my job” nodding to himself a bit he scanned the lobby befor looking back at Soohwan. “It’s a nice building, is there a parking garage by chance?
“Yes! Yes, there is a parking garage. It’s guarded too to keep people who don’t live here from parking their cars down there. So yeah, if you decide to move in, you’ll have a reserved spot.”, Soohwan explained, a little embarrassed that he hadn’t mentioned the parking garage before but the building manager was quite strict with who could and couldn’t access it and he really didn’t want to go through the process of signing someone in who was just there to check out the apartment. Thinking like that made him feel like he was being rude but he was sure Jaehwa would understand if he would’ve told him.
“So, let’s go upstairs.”, he announced before turning around and making his way to one of the elevators. Thankfully, nobody went up or came down in the meantime so it was still there and the doors opened right up after he pushed the button. “After you.”, he said and waited for Jaehwa to enter the elevator before pressing the button for the 5th floor.
“What do you do, if I may ask?”, Soohwan asked curiously, somewhat awkwardly glancing over at the other.
