Shocking Blue performing their hit song “Venus”.
Even if the band name Shocking Blue isn’t too familiar with you, chances are you have heard one of their songs. Bananarama did a cover of Venus, turning the song from a classic psychedelic rock song to an 80’s dance pop tune. On Nirvana’s first album, “Bleach”, the debut single “Love Buzz” is a cover of Shocking Blue, however Robbie van Leeuwen, the guitarist of Shocking Blue, thought Nirvana’s cover was inferior to the original. Also, if you watched the Queen’s Gambit on Netflix, you probably recognize the song from the show’s soundtrack.

This photo of Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, and Bruce Lee together is actually fake and was photoshopped together using the original photos below.
However, Hendrix and Morrison really did meet, and they even did a jam session together.

The Clash
The Clash were an English Rock Band formed in London, 1976. They were a key player in the British punk rock movement, but also the post punk wave. In 2003, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame shortly after Joe Strummer’s death of heart failure in December 2002.

Jim Morrison and Pamela Courson
The pair met at London Fog before the Doors were plunged into fame. They had an intense relationship, and often had heated arguements and infidelity but always managed to reconcile. Pam viewed Jim as a poet who was above the Doors music, and threaten to leave him if he didn’t call it quits with the band. Morrison refered to Pam as his “cosmic partner” and Ray Manzarek said of Courson “never knew another person who could so complement his bizarreness.”

Courtney Love’s famous “kinderwhore” outfits
“Kinderwhore” was a clothing style adapted by many female grunge band members. It was described as a “strong feminist movement” that challenged traditional gender roles by taking overly feminine clothing and inflating it to an almost parody level. Rather than acting in a way women were expect to, these ladies behaved in a confident & aggresive way while wearing such feminine outfits.
