Bones had been mindlessly wondering, in his defence, it was a nice day for a wonder. It was about lunch time and he was getting peckish - that didn't excuse the fact that he'd walked into a bakery to get lunch - but one cupcake wouldn't hurt right? And they all looked and smelt so amazing, he had to go in - it was wrong if he didn't. Well - that's what the in his head argument settled on anyway... Leonard was astonished at the sight of all the cakes, pudding, and sweet things. Dentist must have a field day... Noticing the young man behind the counter he returned his smile with a curt one of his own as he went over to him. "Hi - huh... thanks... um - these all look amazing - I don't know which one to pick..."

Jim hummed softly as he popped in another tray of cupcakes. He looked out towards the window, making sure everything was okay in the front. He spun around and grabbed a bag of frosting, pulling over chocolate cupcakes with cherries down the center.

He went with a white buttercream frosting drizzling cherry goo over the swirl. He sprinkled edible gold glitter over the top, putting them on a plate and bringing them out to the case. He looked up when he heard the bell on the door, smiling at the dark haired man, a warm welcoming smile. 

"Welcome to Enterprise Cakes."

It had been a long three years living in a world where the dead were living - the virus that had caused it had spread like wildfire, what with people not knowing how to do anything about it - chaos ensued pretty quickly. Things fell apart, governments, states, everything. People lived for themselves - and only themselves, in a world like this. That's all you could do. Being a fully trained doctor made Bones feel a little more capable - not that he would be able to cure himself, just that he knew how to patch people up that had gotten into rough spots, and with everyone fending for themselves - it wasn't just the walkers that you had to watch out for. He'd gotten into a few rumbles himself - but he was quite a placid person - especially when it came to staying alive, so he would make a compromise - food/shelter for medical assistance if they needed it. It usually worked... Bones had managed to jack himself a car that still had enough fuel in it to get to the local small village that he'd canvased a couple nights ago. There weren't many walkers round these parts, but sometimes hordes would come through, heading somewhere unknown - so you always had to be careful. He'd been heading to the local shop to stock up on some more supplies when they'd come - out of nowhere it seemed, like they'd appeared, just for him. Sure, he'd fought them before - but not this many... he was done for.

Weirdest Q Meme: Best story of delivering a baby?

Ask my character the weirdest thing you can think of.

"well - there was this one time - that I remember so well because of what the mother did - she uh, she was in pain, a lot of it - and I was he doctor, obviously - we didn’t know what was wrong until she started to give birth, the baby had squirmed too much and got the umbilical chord stuck around it’s throat. If, if the mother pushed too hard in one go the baby would break its neck - hang itself. I managed to give the mother enough muscle relaxant to let the baby out smoothly, but it didn’t stop the baby from having breathing difficulties when it was born - I spent 5 hours operating on the new born - saved it’s life - and the mother - she thanked my - by calling him Leonard… I keep in touch with them, Leonard is now 13, a happy go lucky kid. One of he best days of my life, not just the best story of delivering a baby…
