TW: infidelity and bribery

Juliet had been the second child of the Spanish queen who had been named after her grandmother and was raised away from English court at Hartsfield

She absolutely adored her, getting taught by her mother about how to keep the peace with her relatives in Spain since her older brother Alexander would be ruling England and had to focus on it.

Her frequent visits to court once she was old enough made her very popular with visiting nobles and staff. She loved to dance at the balls they would take place there and played Lady Scorn in the chateau vert pageant and other roles.

Everything was going fine for Juliet, she was well-liked by the people around her and she had an possible engagement for her to a beautiful duchess up until the news of her father's divorce hit.

The reason why her father was divorcing her mother was soon revealed when she bribed one of his advisors and couldn't believe that her mother would ever cheat.

It took awhile for her to adjust to it and the sadness and disbelief turned into anger.

For all of the lesson the queen had Juliet about remaining a faithful wife to whoever she married, her mother had ended up discarding them all!

Most importantly of all, her father had been hurt by this and the kindest man she had ever known.

Juliet promptly cut contact with her mother as she became the Dowager Princess of Wales until she felt like she was ready to talk again.

Meanwhile her father had gotten married to the former Marquess of Pembroke who was now England's queen. She personally thought that he was moving a bit too fast but it didn't matter as long as the queen loved her father and remained faithful.
