Reading Running with Lions for the 3rd time in 3 months. It is just so well written and fantastic. It makes my heart ache every time I think of how heartbroken Emir must have been all of those years away from Sebastian. I'm so glad it didn't take them decades to find their way back to each other. Just brilliant.

so “running” (from the title “running with lions”) is a reference for all those morning with emir? i also loved reading your book

It had multiple meanings, actually! Sebastian and Emir running in the mornings. Sebastian trying to keep up with all the things changing around him. How we can find ourselves running with our friends, trying to be as brave and loud and ferocious as them.

I just finished Right Where I Left You and it’s so so good, it’s bittersweet finishing a book bc I just want more MORE but I know the story is finished 😭 thank you for your work and I’m definitely keeping an eye out for more of your work!!

The Summer of Everything: Updated :))

This book was so wonderfully beautiful in every way. I love the way that Julian was able to cover so many young adult issues in a way that every teen/ young adult could relate to. There were so many times I found myself smiling because I understood exactly what a character was feeling. This book is so diverse as well. You can definitely find a piece of yourself in one of the characters being that there are characters from the lgbtq+ community( including aro-ace which was extremely exciting for me to see). If you love coming of age films, you will definitely love this book. Wes deals with having a crush on his best friend and finding out a way to tell him while also saving the bookstore he works at(which also stores so many childhood memories). I am so glad that I could finally find a book that I can relate to and have so much fun reading. Have you ever thought of making a sequel to Running with Lions?

Hi there!

It has crossed my mind to write a sequel a few times, mainly because I get a lot of questions about what happens next (what would Sebastian and Emir's life look like in college? What happens to Grey? Are Hunter and Willie still together? Does Emir continue to pursue soccer?), but I've yet to find a truly great story to continue the Lions' journey without it cheapening the original book. I don't want to tell a story just to tell it -- I want it to give the reader, new and old, something to truly appreciate separate from the experience of the first book.

But I never say never 😉
