HTTPS support coming to Blogspot

We are extremely happy to see google expand their stance on privacy and security in this blogpost on the official blogspot blogs page this week here

They announce they will be adding full support to blogspot which means the main website, the blog, all static pages,user control panel and to our understanding every blogspot blog under their domain name.

This is a huge increase in the percent of the internets traffic which will be encrypted and not in plaintext for the NSA to intercept.Essentially hundreds of terabytes maybe even petabytes of encrypted data per every few days that will be encrypted that just last week was not!

We have seen this with all google owned service and moving towards https with ssl or tsl has a huge impact on the global scale of privacy and surveillance because it decreases the amount of information obtainable without a warrant for that same information to be gathered without a warrant means they have to crack the encryption which even if possible requires massive spending,manpower and resources which reduces their overall ability to surveil data either way.

And with massive sites like blogspot and wordpress who did this as well a few years ago doing this it secures a huge percent of the global data economy.
