LOVE these women’s responses of why they’re in music business. I have never been a fan of algorithm based streaming services like Pandora because of this reason exactly! I know what I like well enough to not need a formula to tell me what I’m in the mood to listen to. 

Also, I find it fascinating to hear about some of their experiences dealing with sexism and realizing just how much we have in common by dealing with similar situations without even knowing these women. Makes me realize even though we’ve come a far way, there is still so much ingrained that needs to be fixed. For example, if you’ve seen the same band more than once; guys joke that you’re a “groupie”.
