One of the big issues I see in this biz is coaches incessant need to impress and prove themselves to their peers and clients. Me? Couldn’t give a shit mate 😂 I have nothing to prove to random people, and my clients chose me for a reason so I don’t need to impress them needlessly. What I care about is proving to people, my clients, that they can do so much more than they think. You can move better, You can learn new things, You are stronger than you thought, You will get better, stronger, leaner, faster. You can get your dream body without sacrificing food and fun. So many PT’s put a lot of effort in to showing people what they suck at in a desperate attempt to make them seem indispensable and that you NEED them to get better. 😂😂😂 Instead, I try to show how good you are and that it can get even better. I know there will be things you suck at, but I don’t need to tell you about it. Let me deal with that. I always foster positivity with my clients, I want them to take charge of their coaching and not just follow me like sheep. The before picture was taken in 2004 and I actually had to get it from my sister because I don’t have a single picture of me from that year. As a matter of fact, I showed my husband that picture and he had no clue I looked like that a year and a half before we met.⁣ ⁣ I had been a normal weight my whole life but then in 2004 I found myself in a really bad marriage and I was super unhappy. Miserable to be exact. So, I ate. And drank margaritas. Then I was unhappy about my weight so I ate some more. And the cycle continued until I just decided one day enough was enough. We were divorced and it was time for me to get my crap together. ⁣ ⁣ I started my weight loss journey by running 1 mile everyday. And then I started going to the gym again and lifting weights. Of course I changed my diet as well and reduced portion sizes. Results are soooo motivating! Once I started losing weight I became even more determined. I didn’t give up until I lost it all - and then some 😁⁣ ⁣ I know exactly what it feels like to cry in the dressing room, to not want to put on a bathing suit, to hide behind people in pictures, and to being embarrassed to even be around my family. ⁣ ⁣ But I also know exactly what it feels like to reach my goals! And I want you to know that feeling too! If you are stuck in a vicious cycle of being unhappy, eating, being unhappy about your weight and saying screw it and eating even more - don’t give up!! This post and that picture are sooooo unbelievably hard for me to post but if I can inspire one person to start their weight loss journey today then it is worth it. 👭 ⁣ ⁣ I am also here to help!
