Revised Ordinance Focuses On Green Space And Preservation
The proposed ordinance will require new developments to include green space, trees and shrubbery. It will prevent clear-cutting of existing trees without the city's approval. Developers would be required to plant one tree on a given site for every five that are removed. Developer would also be required to plant five trees for every one tree that was removed unnecessarily. The city would be allowed to issue conditional certificates of occupancy that would allow a business to open. The developer or builder would have to post a bond or letter of credit that guarantees the landscaping will be completed. The Jonesboro city council will postpone its final vote on the proposed ordinance for 60 days. This will allow an informal committee time to study the proposal further.

We’ve been told they make pretty good pets. They are said to be highly intelligent as well. Should pot-bellied pigs be considered “different” from swine?
