The wonderful world of Araki's fashion is arguably one of the most challenging and nonsensical undertakings a cosplayer can have. This blog is dedicated to solving the ever present question of "How does that costume actually work?"

I'd like to thank you first: it's in part because of you I have the confidence to start something as crazy to me as cosplay! I have a few ideas on how to proceed by looking into the different resources you give, but I still have a little question... I'm looking to do a cosplay of Abbacchio, you already gave a lot of advices, but I have no idea what kind of fabric I should use... Can you help me with that? (And the reasoning behind so I don't have to ask for every cosplay...) Thanks in advance!
You’re welcome, I’m glad I could provide some inspiration!
For Abbacchio, I would recommend black poly-cotton twill. It’s easy to find and work with. It’s also what long coats that aren’t wool tend to be made of.

An archive of all manner of tutorials, and I mean all manner. Clothing, Accessories, Armour, Prosthetics, Makeup, Masks and all sorts of specific techniques.
There isn’t much that is specifically for Jojo on it, but this is the sort of resource every cosplayer should have in their back pocket

I've been thinking about cosplaying Jotaro in his part 6 outfit for an upcoming con, how would I go about making the "hook" like patterns that are on his hat and on the end of his chain?
My recommendation would be foam and thermoplastic or foam clay if you can get your hands on them. Ms Valentine Cosplay over at Weebly.com used Worbla scraps to great effect (which you can see here)
If not, try some party store plastic chains spray-painted gold. To get the hook, you could cut one of the chains and make the hook shape with model magic or something similar.
For the hat, you could get away with gold cord and clasps from the notions section at your local fabric store.

Can you help us a little with ghiaccio's coat/shirt pattern? And what type of fabric would you recommend pls
I would recommend drafting your own pattern if you can. If not, you can make some modifications to The Double-Breasted Civil War Coat from Mccalls Pattern M4745
This is the pattern I have found so far that requires the least (and also easiest) alterations which are as follows:
Necessary Alterations
1) Re-shape the squared-off skirting into triangles
2) Choose if you want the glove-things to be attached to the sleeves or their own layer. You can modify a glove pattern like this one
Optional Alterations If You’re Confident In Your Pattern Modification Skills
1) Shifting the collar and the flap to line up at the side of the neck
2) Adjusting the bodice and skirting of the jacket on paper to remove the waist seam
3) Adjusting the flap to only open 7″ or so
Really, it comes down to how accurate you want to be. Because this pattern is sized to be a jacket, not a shirt, I (as always) recommend a Twill or maybe a canvas. You can use bias tape to highlight the edge of the breast flap.
Hope this helps!

I'm working on a cosplay of Toyosatomimi no Miko from Touhou, and I'm having trouble with the high collar.
I couldn’t resist making this reference, but I will actually answer this one because Big Dumb Collars are an anime staple.
The secret to these massive, gravity defying collars is a little thing called Pellon Flex Foam. Easy to acquire and sew, you should sandwich it between your outer and lining fabrics. It is also easy to wire it (via bone channels or around the exterior and neckline) for extra shape.

can you help with what kind of fabric i should use for Mista's clothes?
From top to bottom:
Hat: You can consult the guide here
Sweater: I would recommend a knit jersey or something similar for the main sweater with rib knit fabric for the cuffs and neck.
Pants: Modifying pre-made pants is your easiest option here, but if you’re set on building them then it depends on how much stretch you want. Good traditional pant fabrics include: denim, canvas, and twill. If you want more stretch, try a denim/spandex mix.
Boot Mods: Leather, pleather or a heavy poly-cotton. Maybe vinyl if you’re good at working with it.

Hi! I've been a fan of your blog for a while, and i want to make Ghiaccio cosplay. I'm wondering how would you go about styling his wig without buying a dedicated one.
MFW I think about styling that wig
All joking aside, thank you! I’ve had a lot of asks about this one. You can see a good example of a cosplayer-styled one here, and based on that, I would say try a milder version of the curling technique used for Giorno’s donuts.
I can’t offer much more than that unfortunately, wigs are not a strong point of mine.
