𐕣   .  𝙰𝙽𝙾𝙽𝚈𝙼𝙾𝚄𝚂   𝙰𝚂𝙺𝙴𝙳     —          hello! i'm stoked about this group, but i'm a little worried about the application, because i feel like my strong suit is really in the writing and not so much creating the pinterest board or playlist. those things usually come later for me once i've been writing a character for a while. how much weight is placed on the board and/or playlist as opposed to the freeform part of the app?

worry not, my friend! i can't speak for my fellow admin, but what i look for first in an application is depth of understanding of one's character and how they've chosen to portray them! things like motivations, details, intricacies, quirks, and a fleshed out background / lore are what sell me on a portrayal. in all honesty, the pinterest board and / or the playlist are asked for to ensure that applicants are willing to put a little effort into their application — we are desperately seeking dedicated writers who are willing to put in the work. the freeform is optional moreso because we wouldn't want to limit how anybody best expresses their characterization than because we base our decision solely on the playlist / pin board, although we do appreciate the depth that visuals or set of songs can add to our understanding of an applicant's portrayal! for those reasons, i'll admit that i will be looking more closely at folks' freeform sections than i may examine their required sections.

for mwf — the preacher's daughter is currently our only femme - presenting skeleton available. i provided some mw for them a few days back, which you can find at the source link. if none of those work for you, i'd also like to see gideon adlon, kristine froseth, ashley moore, maddison jaizani, mikey madison, madison bailey, or zendaya as the preacher's daughter. as for the passive bystander, i'll give you a quick rundown of my impression of them — you are by no means bound to my interpretation, though! if you see something else in them, we'd rather see your spin on them in your app. i see the passive bystander as a sort of voluntary outsider. they see themselves as either above sanctuaire culture and customs or are struggling to free themselves from the common habits and quirks of a lifelong sanctuairian. despite any disdain they may hold for small town sanctuaire and its small townier locals, they have no problem using their father's prestige in town as armour. they're the watcher in the shadows, masquerading as the quiet good kid who can always be found doggedly working towards a better future —  or desperately grasping for the chance to meet their father's expectations. the group of kids who went into the woods were a strange mix —  not a group you'd be likely to see together on the daily, and so the passive bystander is likely tied to the group solely by what happened that night. the friendship with the farmer's son is one of convenience, and their antagonization of the sister's keeper is the crack in the passive bystander's armour — their true intentions shining through.
