I just noticed this and I started thinking the same thing because I've been following you since idk- you shut down your last blog. But on that note- why is it that some transwomen enter the profession? From the perspective of what you learned.

How long have you been a cam girl? I remember seeing some posts about you being offended for being compared to Bailey Jay. I'm just curious regarding your angle on the whole situation. Please don't be offended. What you do for yourself is your business, I was just a little shocked to see you in a gifset from chaturbate after having seen that post a while ago. I’ve been a camgirl for about a month now. 

In the aftermath of that event you refer to, I spoke with a couple different sex workers about why my taking offense and my following comments were offensive. I said some ignorant things, I published an apology and changed my views after gaining new insights into why people (especially transwomen) enter the profession in the first place.

What issacfreemare said is pretty much what I was getting at. I'll admit I watched Anita Sarkessian's new "Ms. Male Character" video and largely I agree with her so when I saw a pointless bow on a character that previously didn't have a bow I thought 'wtf?'  BUT am I going to do anything about it? Nope. Twas just curious. And if you like #bows n shit it ain't no thang to mang chicken wang bang- yeah I'm done.

Ever since Rebaccus and MaxofS2D reworked her and released the enhanced version for SFM. To my knowledge it started before that as a prop used for the Paula femscout model in Max’s EBF2 project, and I guess it stuck around because it’s adorable. <3

Race and the Changing Face of Geekdom

PCMag did a nice write-up of the Geeks of Color Assemble: Minorities in Fandom panel that I moderated at New York Comic Con. That was one of the high points of my weekend, and I’m glad that the reporter covered this!

The stereotypical geek is a scrawny white guy, but five minutes at New York Comic Con will quickly dash that notion. The show floor is packed with an incredible mix of colors, gender identities, sizes, and languages, but the perception persists within the fandom and amongst the creators of geek media.

A Minorities In Fandom panel at NYCC this weekend discussed these issues and the challenges facing people of color in geek culture, one of only a few panels at NYCC to touch on diversity in <blockquote>olitics of cosplaying, but first and foremost was a discussion on the visibility of people of color in geek media.
