I am missing you guys so much! I haven't been on here in months. I swear I'm not ignoring you all. School got in the way, and it kinda fucked things up, so I am not as involved in Byler as I used to be, but I might start getting back into post here.

Just letting you guys know that I'll probably be a lot less active in the fandom for a while. I just... I can't do it anymore. I'll be honest with you guys, I've been dealing with major depressive disorder and mental illness pretty severely for these last couple of years, and Byler has been such a source of comfort for me during dark times. Just looking at theories, analyses, headcanons, getting excited to see it be endgame and whatnot. But man all of the shit that Noah has pulled has soured it for me in a big way. I'm so upset and disappointed with him that right now when I think of Byler or Stranger Things, I just think of him and how low he continues to go.

Part of the problem I think is that it's new, worse shit like every couple of weeks. I just want to move on and forget about him honestly but I can't do that when he refuses to shut up. And the fandom space gets toxic and negative as a result. Every time we start to have fun, it's like he ruins it. We got crumbs for Stranger Things day and then he went and liked that racist video. And then we were all getting excited that the actor's strike was over and he pulled that bullshit yesterday. I want so badly to separate character from actor and just enjoy the show and the ship but Noah is making it so that we are unable to look away and must address the harm he is causing. It's just... so emotionally exhausting. The very thing that is supposed to be a source of comfort (Byler) is coincidentally my biggest source of anxiety rn and is legitimately worsening my depression lmao. Imagine that.

And the vibe is just sort of gone tbh. These creators were people I looked up to and respected because of their artistry and how carefully and intricately they crafted the Byler storyline, but like, no I don't even respect the Duffers or Shawn Levy anymore. And I'm not excited to see behind the scenes photos or get updates about production anymore. Because I can only imagine how tired like everyone involved in this must feel and how they probably all desperately want it to be over so that they (and we) can move on. It's just a shitshow. It's like watching a trainwreck. Not to mention how many people are boycotting the show and now even watching it or giving it any kind of attention is turning into a moral dilemma like Harry Potter or something. And ofc we have antis infiltrating the Byler tag who are criticizing us for shipping Byler bc of Noah. The vibe is just so all around ugly and bad. And I can only imagine it'll get worse as Noah continues to sink lower and lower. Idk guys. I love these characters and this story but I have to prioritize my mental health and right now I know for a fact that all of this shit is making it worse. Not to mention David giving me a warm slice of Byler doubt yesterday (thanks David lmao). Like, I might just have to see where we are closer to time of release. Maybe when we get a trailer or something. Like I know things change but it's so hard for me to foresee the future. Maybe Noah shuts up a bit and gets moderately less awful. Or maybe he gets even worse and gets fired and replaced. Or the entire production shuts down or M*leven is endgame like I genuinely don't know anymore lol. I can't predict the future and that's part of what gives me anxiety. Anyways... yeah I'm sure I'll drop by to offer headcanons and whatnot but ya I cannot be in this space or thinking about Byler or Noah everyday. I just cannot for the sake of my mental health. Hope you guys understand. <3

We can't just stop talking about the tens of thousands of people dying so people can enjoy a show and a ship. It sucks seeing all the negativity in the world, but sometimes, we have to see it to make a difference. What Noah is saying is harmful. Since he is at the forefront of this ship, we have the right to criticize and talk about his beliefs and consistent ignorant jokes about death. We can't just let him get away and prolong the negative things we see online. We need to continue to speak up. If you don't want to continue seeing criticism towards Noah, consider logging off for a bit. Remember, we aren't necessarily criticizing Byler. We are criticizing Noah's harmful and ignorant beliefs and actions. Us speaking up about the people dying isn't us saying that you can't ship Byler or that you are wrong for that. It's us trying to take a stand against genocide and mass murder. It is us trying to make sure that people don't view this as a joke like Noah does. Continue to watch Stranger Things, but don't shut people up when we are discussing genocide and innocent people dying because of ignorant beliefs like his.

Can y'all leave Noah Schnapp alone now? Those aren’t the tags appropiate for these discussions. Just stop making these posts each time he says anything. We want to enjoy the show, Will Byers and Byler in peace. Not hear updates on what Noah is up to. You guys have no empathy for those that don’t like seeing such negative things.

I am incredibly disappointed in Noah Schnapp's behavior. The audacity to be so uncaring and ignorant when talking about a genocide that has killed more than 11,000 people blows my mind. I understand that he is Jewish and that he is supporting the Jewish homeland, but to disregard and make a joke of the war crimes and tragedy that has struck Palestine? That is just supporting a genocide and the mass murder of innocent people who have lives that are now being taken away. Shame on him. He is old enough to realize that what he is joking about is mass murder. He has such a big audience of young, impressionable children. He is teaching them that genocide is a joke. At this point, I can't support him. I love Stranger Things, but it is tainted now and I don't think I can be as involved as I was a few months ago. If you notice I'm not posting as much, it’s because of Noah's terrible actions. I heavily encourage all of you to support and help Palestine as much as possible. Everything helps even if it is just reblogging information about Gaza.

This isn't an odd question at all. I love talking about music. I would say my favorite song at the moment is Samara Joy's cover of "Misty." Her whole album,"Linger Awhile" is fantastic. I don't know if you would consider "Misty" byler-coded, but I do tend to listen to byler- coded songs. If you want byler-coded song recommendations, I love Laufey. She has a few songs like "Best Friend," "From the Start," and "Let You Break My Heart Again."
