Hey just a quick announcement to start the ball running on advertising my wares…I finally set up a few images for prints and goods over at my Society 6 store. More to come later, mostly trying to get up original stuff that hasn’t been around the interwebs yet, or cleaning up rougher stuff, so I am spending some time refining pieces and bringing them up to necessary specs. Check ‘em out!

dammit this was supposed to be a quick rough drawing of these two characters for a story and then suddenly I am trying to draw all this dumb cloth. please remind me next time that quick sketches should not include obsessively wrinkled drapery. -_-

Also doing concepts for a female character in the same story as previous dude...but wanted to make her feel more sinister/animalistic at her core. I started sifting through some photo reference to just glance at but ended up noodling with a caricature of a snow leopard that I really like the result of.

he was meant to be a weird combo of some random faces but alexpicar called it at Lee Pace with an overbite so I am just rolling with that now :P

been struggling trying to design "ugly-cute" for a character. need to refresh my eyes and come back to him later having racked my brain over so many odd shapes and aesthetics. think I'm getting close here though...really liking the overbite and crooked teeth/awkward smile plus that heavy brow.

I love toon boom but I used Plastic Animation Paper extensively in college. Even for some of my thesis work. The original version of the program was in beta for so long and got scrapped at one point, so they offered the whole thing for FREE after that. Now it seems they're back making a new version (looks like for all OS), but you can still get the older version! Interface is a little ugly, but the look of your work has a nice soft pencil-y feel to it.

Animation Program Suggestions?

I used to love making cartoons as a little kid and animating them, I figure I should give animation another shot? any programs you guys suggest? Even if I can only get a free trial run
