you need more proof? how about thousands of black folk all around the world saying, "if you are not black please do not use this word in any context because it hurts us", and yet you continue to use it. valuing your ability to use one word (an extremely historically loaded but generally useless word) over the feelings of thousands of black people? pretty racist.

this is what you're doing. there's a person with a gaping, open wound in their arm, and you're digging your fingers into it, and it hurts. they ask you to stop, but instead of stopping you say, "but why does it hurt? but why should your pain mean i can't do whatever i want with my hands? it's a free country. why can i touch other parts of you but not this fresh wound? it doesn't hurt when you touch my shoulder," and you never consider that maybe that's because you're not wounded.

is your life going to be drastically worsened if you don't get to use this one term that is used almost exclusively for the purpose of oppressing black people??? is it? is it really that much of a struggle to not be allowed to sing along to rap songs?

using the n-slur is pretty bad, yeah, but fucking defending your ~right~ to say it? way worse. congratulations, you have become a top tier racist. please enjoy having the power to fucking ruin other people's days without retribution.

it's not about winning, it's about perspective.

comparing centuries of systematized oppression and violence to "some frustrated queer kid said fuck cishets once on their blog" is seriously undermining what homophobia is and the extent to which it is perpetuated.

they're literally not the same thing at all and to compare them is insulting to lgbtq+ people to be honest?? like, i know your parents threatened to throw you out and all, but you expressed an angry emotion on the internet once, and that makes you just as bad.

soooo i have to worry abt being assaulted or beaten in the streets if the wrong ppl find out about my sexuality, i will never be able to tell my parents because they've openly said they will disown me, i face potentially not getting a job bc of this, if i ever fall in love with a girl i cannot marry her without moving three continents away, and half the people i talk to still don't think i exist

and the worst thing that allies have to worry about wrt their sexualities is some angry, frustrated queer occasionally saying "fuck cishets" on a microblogging platform

equality doesn't work by the oppressed minority constantly deferring to their oppressors and making sure their oppressors are comfortable at all times

i literally face being homeless and disowned if my parents ever find out i'm not straight, if ~allies~ can't deal with a couple of people saying "this event isn't exactly for you" then they can suck it up

This is why I’m not an ally. Why support a movement that 99% consists of special little snowflakes who are unable to appreciate support and instead throw shit at those who support them? By creating an us vs you kind of situation you are defeating the purpose of this event - raising positive awareness around LGBTQA. Awareness, see that? This event is not about you being special snowflakes different from the rest. It’s about raising AWARENESS of the cause. Good job.

PS: Otherkin is not a gender or sexuality issue. If anything it’s a psychological illness and definitely does not belong in this event.
