I hate to be that person but technically, in a way, the dynasty was 'stealing' children. Even if the souls belonged to passed citizens of the dynasty they still were born into the empire and no one there had any reason to believe that their children had souls from another country. Like it just sounds wild.
a lot of folks are posting some Hot Takes regarding The Empire vs. The Dynasty but I think the clearest dichotomy of the attitudes of each country was displayed in the most recent episode when the Nein spoke with Ludanis.
he said the thing that enraged the Empire was the fact that missionaries came from Xhorhas to spread the word of the Luxon. that’s it. not an unprompted attack, but something that could’ve potentially made citizens aware of consecution especially bc it’s been hinted that the Dynasty believes there are consecuted souls in the Empire
and what did the Empire do?
SEND FUCKING SPIES WHO WERE SPOTTED AND KILLED BC WHAT THE FUCK WHY ARE YOU SENDING SPIES TO A NEUTRAL NATION YOU’RE NOT AT WAR WITH

Reminder that while Caleb is uber sad, Jester is also queen repression of the depression. And yet somehow she still is willing to tell him about her frustrations as early as the pirate arc and now even admit to Caleb that she didn’t understand the glyphs.

DnD Resource Library
I definitely did not just spend two hours creating a 5-page google document listing all my book-marked DnD resources organised by topic that you can check out here…
Topics include: make your gaming accessible; creating player characters and npcs; map design; encounter building; worldbuilding, making homebrew content, and music & immersion
(Full link for those on mobile: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TCHdojKAkUc9Us6WFCitg7q1F1CH37xEkHGv_Jziho4/edit)

Liam: (makes a subtle acting choice that fans speculate to be this big thing/ hints)
Me: y'all are reading too much into it, it's not intentional
Liam: it's intentional
Me: :o
making-myself-sad game, take 22:
As they walk through Zadash, a town crier announces “Riot in Rexxentrum squashed for peace! Radical groups brought to justice under the crown!”
This is the face Caleb makes at that.

this tiny scene was *clearly* the most important part of the last episode for me to focus on…

"Guess Whooooooo.!!!!"
Some lines I like from last night’s episode (C2E57)
(starting from when I started writing them down, which was right after they entered the Inn and Yeza asked what powers the party had. And because this was the same question Jester had been asked in episode one, she answered it the same way)
“I use Thaumaturgy to open all the windows”
“Chemistry’s good, baby. But killing’s better.”
Beau: “Leave every place better than when you found it.” Jester: “Aww.”
“I’m still your first mate”
“When I see my friends on the verge of possible death, I am not going to say nothing.”
“I’ll trust you. If you’ll do me a favor. Start trusting yourself? Just a little bit.”
“Thank you for your time.”

Yep he did and gave this look. I can't even describe it. Jester also called Caleb Notts son before and got a similar confused reaction. Both times nott has tried to play it down so Caleb doesn't know
Did Caleb hear the part where Jester said Nott thought of Caleb as a son?
Are we going to see this conversation??
I feel like many conversations are going unsaid currently

Counterpoint: Jester does it for her
A really simple thing I have to commend Beau for is that she is somehow managing to maintain her undercut while constantly traveling. As someone with an undercut, I have to buzz that shit every 3-4 weeks otherwise it gets that awkward growing out look. I’m just imagining Beau up at night on watch, using those damn throwing stars to attempt to shave the sides of her head.

i long for the day when people would stop assuming in character drama is a reflection of the players’ out of character opinions of each other but lord knows we’ll never reach it

Re: That slavery scene or whatever in episode c2e56. I understand how it could’ve been triggering or just generally unpleasant for some people, but you guys really need to stop projecting your own discomfort on the cast. Behaving as if your personal and extremely subjective interpretation of their reactions and thoughts is the Truth and giving yourselves the right to attack other people over that is definitely not okay. The cast of CR are adults playing among close friends, if something happens in game they’re not comfortable with, they can talk to each other about it and deal with it accordingly.

I have thought long and hard about this, but I’ve finally come to a decision, and I must implore my constituency to do the same:
Vote for Sam and the Samerican Way!
