Another Saturday, another announcement post! 😉 This coming Tuesday, we are posting an episode where we rank all of the Dragon Age Romances in all four games! 😆 Personally, I think our rankings are pretty damn good. We even give a few of the EXACT same scores, because of course we did. 🤣 Whether you want to compare your rankings to ours, laugh at our ridiculousness, or cringe at Miranda's minor Anders obsession (it's not a big deal guys I'm fine), you're going to love Episode 29: The Heart of Our Adventures!

In this one, Jess and I (Miranda) went full deep-dive mode into our canon Hawkes. We answered fun questions, tough questions, and the kind of questions that make you sit there like, wow… do I actually know my OC, or have I just been vibes-posting them all these years?

This is a really old post and I've been taking a trip down memory lane of stuff I've liked/reblogged. Anywho, given hindsight AND being much older than I was when I originally liked this post: I don’t think the argument is that Hawke is incapable of leading in general, after all, Hawke does lead in DA2, and they handle some intense political and military situations. It’s more that, in the context of Inquisition, it doesn’t quite make sense for Hawke to be the "Inquisitor". The role is deeply tied to the Anchor and its unique connection to the Breach and the Fade. Without the mark, Hawke wouldn't have the same symbolic role, no matter how competent or badass they are. Could Hawke technically lead a group? Sure. But the Inquisition as we know it is shaped around the mark, its power, and how it elevates the Inquisitor. That’s the key difference, not the overall ability of Hawke. All this to say my Hawke does make "dumb jokes" and can still lead. Being a purple Hawke does not equate to the inability to lead. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

I’m sick of the blanket statement Hawke couldn’t lead the Inquisition.

Not all Hawkes are purple and can’t do shit. 

My red Mara Hawke would go a little crazy and would throw the military at everything that pisses her off, that I’m sure even Cullen would be “um like maybe talk to Josephine about a alternate plan?”. So I wouldn’t trust her. lol

But others I’m sure would be just fine.  

What I’m saying is not all Hawkes make dumb jokes and are mini disaster zones.

Anders…idk if there will ever come a time where I’ll let you go for destroying the Chantry. But if I could go back in time and save you from losing your cat…I’d burn the world to make it happen.
