Yesterday I was documenting another DJ workshop.

The DJ workshop was organised as a collaboration between Strøm School, Lydudlejningen and Kapow, which is a creative collaboration originating from the LGBT community. 

The DJ of the evening was Tjejrejv and she attracted a big crowd of beginners to the decks.

The last video mock up for Escarraman is almost finished now. The illustrator has started sending me final drawings with color which means I am starting to get a good idea of what the final result will be like.

The illustrator, named Alberto de Arribas Guisande, is hugely talented and makes this univers come alive which makes my job pretty easy.

Since last post, a few other jobs have come in and I will update about them when I get more into development.

Today I got the program for the upcoming Lommefilm workshop “Du kan redde liv” starting the 1st of February. It will be a five week job touring the country with iPads and newly developed cardboard defibrillators.

As always the kids will make films on the subject and I will try and guide them through the difficulties of filmmaking.

I am looking very much forward to get out there and meet all the new faces and the new ideas and on a daily basis be involved in the creation of between 4 and 6 short films.

Today we sent away the first funding application for our project “Livets Hastighed” Now we will wait and see the result. Fingers crossed.

Christmas break is over and it was great to have some time to relax.

The new years first assignment has dropped in and it is for Escarraman. They are looking to get a bunch of illustrations animated for the upcoming piece in Odense this spring. I started the work today and will deliver the first mock ups on the 4th of January.

Patricio is doing the soundscapes for them, so towards the end of the month we will be working closely together.

From today and until new year I will be away on Christmas holiday. As many others I am looking forward to see the new Star Wars movie as well as see family and friends. It will be good to relax and I am looking very much forward to the new year. Merry Christmas from me

Here is a few ungraded stills from the days in Vejle.

It was a really good couple of days shooting and I was working on the Red Epic with a Ronin handheld system. We made all the stops we planned and it was busy and productive.

The DR Idents is expected to be in circulation on DR1 from the beginning of next year.

Today I finished planing the idents for DR. 

We start in Vejle on Wednesday and move to Middelfart the next day. We will visit a church, a jewellery workshop, climb the top of the old Lillebælts bridge and go to a golf course to name a few of the places.

Patricio from Grow will join me these busy days which will be good and competent company.

Today, we in Grow Productions had our first meeting about a project we are calling “Livets Hastighed”. It is a short film project, which we are developing towards the beginning of next year, where we will have a bunch of funding opportunities to pursue.

The film will be about a young man moving to Copenhagen in the 80′s and who will be absorbed the cities subcultures of the time.

Inspired by poetry, punk and squatters I think this can be a really interesting project about a relatively untreated subject in danish film.

Today I got the go on another batch of DR idents. This time we are going to Jylland and Fyn and this time I will be producing and filming as well.

It will be a good a challenge and I will get started straight away to be ready for the 16th and 17th of December.

Today Grow productions had a meeting with marketing at Apollo Music. They are looking to promote their new initiative No Angel Records with a video this spring.

The video will be about how advertisement and indie musicians can benefit from each other and create a more authentic and interesting commercial product.

We will get going and start coming up with ideas about how to do this in a fashion that mirrors the message of the initiative.

Two days of filming done for the DR idents. It has been hectic and we have been quite a few places. We have been invited behind the scenes and seen a bit of peoples lives which I think has been really cool.

Tonight Niklas and I went with Robert from Audux to get a demonstration of their live streaming box called Pobit.

It was a single camera setup filming a concert in Amager Bio with the Swedish band Leather Nun.

Set up was quick and through an app or an embedded player I was able to stream the concert on my phone. The sound quality was really good and I am pretty impressed with the image quality as well.

The box will enable us to film conferences, workshops and sports events and stream it live on the internet. It also allows us to make pay pr. view solutions as well as company limited streams and on demand content as well.

The slogan we have in mind is Why Not Live..

Today I am finishing up the preparations for a small project with DR. They have asked David and I to do idents for them and I have called quite a few places to get some interesting locations for it.

The production is made on an Alexa and Ronin setup and will portray danes in todays Denmark in conversation about everyday topics. The idents will consist of a slow motion track with music and speak on top of it and will appear in between the programs on DR1.

Among the locations is Sandholm lejren, where Syrian refugees are arriving these days. We will also visit a gravel pit, a biker club and a sushi bar. So quite a wide range of locations and people.

The days of filming will be Monday and Tuesday next week.

Tonight was another DJ Workshop with Strøm School run by DJ Marc and Mikkel.

It was an interesting insight into their method and ideas about DJing and with a focussed class drawing from their experience.

To day I finished a short animated film for Struer Museum.

The film will be part of an experiment that shows how foley sound works. Visitors will be making and recording sounds to accompany the actions of the characters and understand that an umbrella or a cd rom drive can make credible sounds for a robot or a bird.

The museum opens its new exhibitions in February and I am looking forward to see the film in action.

Our first Grow Production has been delivered and released. It is a teaser for an opera which is commencing in the spring of 2016.

It was a great few days shooting in Odense and the post production has gone by swiftly as the team work turned out great.

Grow had some meetings today as well and we are currently talking with a company about live broadcasting on the web, which sounds interesting and promising. Will update on that later.

But for now enjoy the teaser
