Random Headcanons of Akatsuki on whether I think they're a drinker or a smoker
Tumblr media
𝔓𝔞𝔦𝔫 ~ smoker (mainly)
I would assume that he would be the type to smoke. Now as to what exactly, I see him as the type to hit a bong, maybe even a hookah….maybe tho. I could also see him as someone who drinks, but would only drink a bottle and nothing more than that.
Tumblr media
𝔎𝔬𝔫𝔞𝔫 ~ drinker
I see her as the type to mainly intake alcohol. Soft drinks, cocktails, and wine are all alcohol beverages that she would drink. If she wants to be a bit more moderate with her intake of alcohol, she’ll drink a mojito or piña colada. However, when she wants to wash down her stress she’ll gulp down a bottle of Château Lafite Rothschil.
Tumblr media
𝔒𝔟𝔦𝔱𝔬 ~ heavy drinker
Alright, I'm sure we all know why :(
Its mainly because of Rin. He fr can't get over her loss. I meannn its the whole reason why some some unfortunate events take place. So to no ones surprise, he would drink to the point of blacking out. Any type of drink will do. Anything that will get him drunk enough to forget a bit about the pain of losing her.
Tumblr media
ℑ𝔱𝔞𝔠𝔥𝔦 ~ drinker
I see him as the type to drink sake. And only drinking the finest sake at that. Trying to keep things traditional and shit like that. I guess its the Uchiha in him wanting to maintain tradition by indulging in his culture.
Tumblr media
𝔎𝔦𝔰𝔞𝔪𝔢 ~ drinker (sometimes)
He drinks sometimes not often. I feel like he complains about how the alcohol dries up his mouth a lot, so he won't drink as often. He’ll probably only drink when offered. Otherwise, he would prefer water over anything.
Tumblr media
𝔎𝔞𝔨𝔲𝔷𝔲 - a little bit of both
Dealing with Hidan all the time, I can see him smoking a blunt and trying to get high enough that he can drown out Hidan’s constant bickering. Same with drinking, he would drink a lot but not to the point of passing out drunk. He still gotta focus on chasing that bag, but wants to do it without dealing with Hidan’s moaning and bitching.
Tumblr media
ℌ𝔦𝔡𝔞𝔫 ~ definitely both
Hardcore drinker and smoker. Will for sure drink vodka on a mundane Wednesday afternoon. Does not care when, what or where; he just needs something to stimulate him. And when drinking or smoking isn't enough he’ll resort to cocaine and other measures to be at that right state of mind.
Tumblr media
𝔇𝔢𝔦𝔡𝔞𝔯𝔞 ~ both
Being young and all I see him trying to experiment with drugs, though not as hardcore like Hidan. He would stick with smoking and drinking, but would most likely be excessive with it. He for sure would be a pothead and will have a smoking sesh with Pain. I see him as the type to also make his own drinks by mixing random shit.
Tumblr media
𝔖𝔞𝔰𝔬𝔯𝔦 ~ neither
He's basically a puppet. And I think its been said that he doesn't eat or drink either for that same reason. Though, if he wasn't a puppet, I would say that he'd be a casual drinker like Konan, possibly even like Kisame in that he'd only drink when offered.

Ceramics class
Word count: 2.6k
Rating: SFW
AU in which you and Deidara are in a class together, that being none other than ceramics. After being inseparable as little kids, then drifting apart in middle school. After graduating high school and going into college, you guys gradually rekindle your friendship, though a certain someone has yet to confess his feelings for you.
—8th grade summer—
Summer was both of your favorite seasons because it meant that school wasn't in session and you could spend hours upon hours hanging out with Deidara. For as long as you can remember, you always looked up to him. He was older than you by a couple of months and he always tended to take leadership as to what you guys were going to do whenever you guys hung out. Not that you mined him being bossy. If anything, you simply enjoyed basking in his presence. It’s not like you didn’t have any other friends aside from Deidara, you do. However, there was something that he brought in, a type of adrenaline rush that you were constantly seeking for. Yes, he was indeed a trouble maker. He wasn’t the kind of kid you would hang out with and better yourself, it was the opposite. He was a bad influence. He was the type that if you were looking for trouble he wouldn’t do much to stop it, rather he would encourage it. Well sometimes he would step in. He would only do so if he thought you were going to seriously hurt yourself while doing something reckless.
It was any other summer day. You both were enjoying a cool popsicle while sitting down criss-cross on the patio. “What do you think Sasori is doing? He should have been here by now.” I asked Deidara. “Probably still working on his puppet with granny Chiyo.” He shrugged. Sasori is interesting to say the least. He and Deidara know each other for the longest time, possibly longer than when you first met him. They’re in the same class and his granny and Deidara’s mom are acquainted. Apart from already being so close to each other they both share a keen interest in art, albeit they both have different perspectives in art. They clash often but regardless they are inseparable. I eventually was introduced to him and we all hit it off.
“He’s been working on that thing since the beginning of summer, don’t you think he should put it to a side for a moment and enjoy the rest of his summer?” I say as I take another lick of my popsicle. “It’s unlikely, he’s gotten more serious with his work ever since he got enrolled in that fancy art program, hm.” He rolled his eyes. Sasori’s skills are no joke, he has serious talent. Some even say that he is a prodigy in puppetry. The youngest person to be at a professional level. So it was no surprise to find out that his skills were recognized and that the head mistress of the art program granted him an honorable spot in the program. Deidara couldn’t be less than thrilled. He thought it was horseshit that he didn’t make the cut.
What felt like hours, Sasori finally emerged from the room in which he and his granny were working. “Are you done with the puppet yet? I could only imagine the amount of work you put in it,” Deidara asked. “No, not yet actually. I still have to do some more details to it,” Sasori replied back with a sigh. He sat down in between us. “What more can you possibly do to it though? All your puppets are amazing.” I say with a glimmer in my eyes with admiration. Sasori giggled. “I have to do more because I have to go beyond my limits to what I can do. Now that I am in the program I have to be able to do more.” He looked forward. “Makes sense,” I say back. “Well I wish you the best of luck!”
“Thanks, I appreciate it.” Sasori smiled. Deidara hadn’t said a word. While you guys were chatting away. Deidara couldn't help but feel a little jealous over his friend. Seeing you admire him and his art made him feel a bit annoyed. What’s so good about his art? His art is just as good, if not better! He thought to himself. “Tch.” You and Sasori looked over at him “hm? What’s wrong?” I asked “nothing” he replied back. Sasori raised an eyebrow but ultimately chose to ignore it. Sasori sighed “I have to head back. I need to finish off my work before we go back to school.” He stood up from his spot and moved one of his hands to the back of his neck, slowly scratching it. “And I still need to do a portfolio.” He said with a stressed out groan before heading back inside.
“Geez, do they really have to make him overwork himself?” I say in a worried voice. Deidara says nothing in return, only looking ahead. “Hey are you ok? You've been quiet for a wh-” “I’m fine” he abruptly cuts me off. “Just thinking about stuff,” he says in a monotone voice. “Oh ok I guess” I say confusingly. Without another word Deidara stood up and began walking away. “His art is good,” He stood still for a bit and looked back at me, “but it’s not as good as true art, because true art is an explosion!”
He walked off after that. I was left in shock, not sure as to how I should react. After that day there was sort of a shift in our dynamic. Sasori was more occupied with his art, and Deidara became a bit distant with me. It wasn’t until we finally had to go back to school. Kicking off a new chapter in our lives as we all entered high school, that we all went our separate ways.
Deidara and I haven’t spoken since. He got caught up with a group that was up to no good most of the time. And Sasori as always, too caught up in his art.
—College—
Entering a new era in my life, I learned to move on. After graduating high school, I thought it was a good idea to move out and move into a new city. I got accepted into a college, though it wasn’t my first pick of choice. Regardless, I learned to adapt to these changes.
Today was my first day ever in college. I couldn’t help but feel excited. I was thrilled to start all over. New people, new school, new life, new me. Starting off fresh. I always knew that I wanted to get into the medical field, I had the tendency to lean into things that were related to that and back in high school, I took it upon myself to prioritize my education above all else. It was easy to do so when I was no longer friends with Deidara and Sasori. It hurt me when we separated, but it only pushed me to do better, to strive for more. So when I took all those advanced classes in high school, I expected to be a little ahead from everyone else who was also in the same major. Especially since some of the classes I took were credited in college and I didn’t need to retake those classes. What I didn’t expect was that I needed to take a stupid art class.
“What do you mean I need to take an art class? I don’t see how it’s beneficial towards my major” I asked my counselor, “I know you’re frustrated but listen it’s part of any major, your general education classes are still needed and I understand that you’re looking to be more ahead than anyone else and with looking at your chart, I can tell that it won’t take too long to finish your time here before going off to med school, but like I said you’re GE classes are still important,” she replied back with a small exhale
This is so stupid, I told myself. I can’t believe I have to waste my time, I thought I already got over these unnecessary classes in high school. “What type of art class do I need to take for my major?” “You can take any art class that you want, it is just to fulfill your GE requirements,” she replied back while typing something in her laptop. “Ok, so what art classes do you have available?” “Hmm, let me check,” she was quick to type something else in her laptop. “Ok so we have some options available since most of them have been taken already, your available options as of right now are; graphic design, cinematography, and ceramics.”
You gotta be joking, really? I’m not so much of an artsy person, I only really know how to do ceramics and that’s only with the basic skill. I know this much because of Deidara. He would teach me often, whether it be him teaching me of his own free will or me bugging him to the point where he had to teach me, but my skills are nowhere near Deidara’s. His sculptures were always amazing. I would always be confused whenever he destroyed them. They were beautiful, absolutely mesmerizing, and yet he would have intricate and creative ways in destroying them. He always claimed that it was the best part of his art. “I guess I’ll take ceramics,” I say a bit hesitant. “You’re just in luck, you filled up the last spot.” She gave a small laugh. “This is a beginner class? The one that I’m enrolled in, right?” “Yes, unless you want to go to a more advanced class, then I might be able to squeeze you in but all the classes are all full for higher placement.”
“No, no, there’s no need for that,” I smiled at her, “I just wanted to know that I was going into a beginner-friendly class.” “Oh ok, in that case you don’t need to worry, this is an intro class so basically a beginner class,” she said. “Ok thanks, and after this I don't need to take another art class, correct?” I asked. “No, this is the only class you’ll be needing to take to fulfill that requirement.”
“Ok sounds good.” And with that I left.
—Tuesday Late Afternoon—
How bad can it possibly be? I told myself. I mean I do know some of the basics even if I can’t recall everything I was taught, and it is a beginner friendly class. I’m expecting to at least pass the class with a minimum of a B. If I can get an A+ that’ll be even better. I’m feeling confident as I’m walking to my class. I take a small breath as I step inside. The classroom is fairly big. There’s plenty of table work spaces that I can stand by and a row of pottery wheels by one side and some at the back of the classroom. There’s another door all the way in the back of the class that I presume leads to another room where the kilns are located. Some of this stuff is familiar to me. I claim my table, one in which that is located all the way in the back next to some pottery wheels. I thought that I probably wouldn't have to move so much if everything was close to me. I stood there waiting for the remainder of my classmates to arrive. After 5 minutes our instructor started the class.
“Hello everyone my name is Mr. Onoki, and I’ll be instructing this class. I’ll be providing you all with a syllabus which gives in depth of what to expect. I would go over it, but it would take up the whole class.” He gave a hearty laugh. “But all you need to know is that you’ll be working with clay, obviously. I also do hope that by each day you’ll all will find an appreciation for this art and will someday want to pursue more, but this is only something I can hope for,” he gave another laugh. “Oh! And one more thing before we start, aside from myself, there will be another person helping me teach this course. He is a talented young lad with exceptional knowledge in this plain field, I would like you to meet your teacher assistant.” With that, the professor gestured with his hand to someone already standing by the door, signaling them to come in, almost as if it were on cue. The person stepped inside the room.
“Shit,” I whispered to myself. Of course it had to be him. He was the person I least expected yet I know he is the most qualified. I bite the inside of my cheek forcing myself to stay in place and to not just walk out. “This is your TA for the rest of the semester. Would you please introduce yourself?” Mr. Onoki asked. “Sure can, hello everyone my name is Deidara and as Mr. Onoki said, I will be your TA for the whole semester. I’ll be sure to help everyone to the best of my ability. I hope that as time passes by, that your skills will improve and that you will be able to make beautiful art, hm.” It was hard to concentrate on what he was saying when my mind was flooding with all the memories we shared. I felt a small pang in my heart but I tried to ignore it as Mr. Onoki was speaking. Truthfully, I did not hear anything else that he said, so I was brought back to reality when I heard some say excuse me. “Huh?” I turned around to see someone standing with an awkward smile. I looked around and saw that I was blocking their path. “Oh I’m sorry,” I stepped aside. “No worries,” they replied back. God how embarrassing, I need to start concentrating.
We started off with something simple. Mr. Onoki had us start off with learning the different tools used as well as machines. He taught us how to knead the clay and mentioned all the different types of clay. And with the last type of clay he listed, he let us play with the clay. Our first task was to knead the clay, and while everyone else was struggling a bit, I had a somewhat good understanding of how to do it. Thanks to a certain someone. Mr. Onoki was helping students and Deidara was the others. I saw how he was helping a girl knead her clay. He had his hands over hers to motion the moment as he was explaining to her how to do it. I felt my cheeks heat up, not sure why but that action made me annoyed. I rolled my eyes and got back to kneading my clay. “Wow, for a beginner you're really good,” Mr. Onoki said while overseeing my work from behind me. “I have a bit of experience actually.”
“Oh you do? Did you learn by yourself or had a previous class before?” I stayed quiet for a second thinking of what to say. “I had someone teach me before, but I only remember some things,” I replied back. “Oh! Well that’s good you’ll be a bit more advanced than everyone else.” He laughed as he walked away to help another student. I shook my head while smiling, he’s a bit enthusiastic, maybe a little too much. I continued kneading my clay as I looked up ahead. I saw that Deidara was looking at me. He noticed that I caught him staring and he looked away quickly. He stood there for a bit until he found a student that needed help and quickly walked over to them. The hell was that about?
What I initially thought was going to be an easy grade to obtain and an easy class, turned south real quick. I soon found myself in an unexpected predicament. As class ended, I grabbed my stuff, put the clay away, and hauled ass out of that classroom.
I had no idea at that time that things were going to be way out of my control.
To Be Continued…
P.S: I did try to proof read it but gave up along the way so excuse the run-ons and grammar mistakes :p
