I love Rachel Pidgley. She’s a monsterfucker. Her werewolf boyfriend is trans. She’s best friends with Edward Hyde from hit novella Hyde Beats A Man To Death With His Cane. She’s also somehow friends with Dr. Jekyll from hit novella Jekyll Commits Murder-Suicide on Edward Hyde. She twirls her chef knife around with no regard for how close it is to her, or anyone else’s, neck. She stress bakes. Her werewolf boyfriend thrives on the fruits of her stress baking. She didn’t bat an eye when a 12ft tall reanimated corpse man walked into her place of work. She stabbed a mutilated grizzly bear in a battle to defend said corpse man only about 5 minutes later. Her sister in law is the head of the most successful gang in London and is polyamorously married. Said sister in law’s gang has health insurance. Her first appearance in the comic she shows up covered in blood. Apparently this is normal for her.

I wanted to be good, in the eyes of everyone who doesn’t know who I am, who are so judgmental and who are so good, despite the cruelty and the evil and maybe if I got rid of the evil inside me then I’d be good enough for this world, for the people around me, for myself.

I wasn’t good, I was never good— and only by creating that awful version of me and casting the sin I thought I was committing onto this earth could I be decent, or worthy, or good.

Just. Good.

He could have said “I wanted to be good enough.” He could have said “I didn’t want to be evil.” But no, “I wanted to be good.”

Not good enough, not good for you, none of that. Good.

Lodgetember Day 26: Mr Sinnett‼️‼️‼️

Couldn't participate much with Lodgetember due to me going back into Univ and thinks has been hectic overe here, BUT!!! I WILL NOT MISS MY LIL GINGER BABY'S DAY!!!

Sinnett somehow catches my eyes during my first read into the comic, but tbh I guess that's because he got all of the physical traits of characters I've already liked (green coded, ginger, have freckles, a dork, chaotic, and goggles)

He's such a silly guy and I love him so much, so!! I could only draw sketches of him on my sketchbook during my free time today :3

At this point, I think Jekyll is just sort of done. I've seen the theory that he's gonna commit suicide but I don't think he'll follow his book counterpart. I think Hyde just wants to take Jekyll down, hence the "we both go down together" chapter title, but I think Hyde doesn't know that Henry is fully prepared to do the same. Throughout the entire comic, Hyde has been messing with Jekyll, trying to get him to break but now that he finally has, I think Jekyll is going to do the exact same. He is going to break Hyde down- literally. He wants nothing to do with Hyde anymore so I think he's fully prepared to just try to kill him, or get rid of him. Something like that, but then maybe he talks to the lodgers and Jasper or something and they convince him that maybe killing half of yourself isn't a good thing idk.

I think at some point Hyde will take that "fake death" potion thing Frankenstein had a couple chapters ago and fake his death in front of the police, but maybe nobody else knows and Lanyon hears about it and is just completely heartbroken, but both Jekyll and Hyde are both still alive. The whole potion thing is the Chekhov's gun of the story and we are waiting for it to go off.

The things we can confirm are these

• Mind!Jasper (Sage said something about it in an interview I believe)

•Return to the mindscape (if we see Mind!Jasper, that means we will return there at least one more time)

•The fake death potion needs to be used

•The image of Hyde and the broken glass

•The ending for Hyde has changed (Sage said in an interview)

•The fact that there will only be 18 chapters

•There MIGHT be an epilogue

It's anyone guess about what could happen. I would like to ask Sage a question during the interview on Saturday so I hope I will get the chance to do that. (I don't wanna put the question here cause I don't what anyone to steal it.) But yeah, there's still a lit that can happen, but we are definitely in the final act.

Lodgetember - Day 4 (12 days later)

It's Ito!!! My Love!!!! Everyone's favourite Neo-alchemist! This is SOOO late but who cares, I have been so busy this week so I literally grinded for all of today, just to finish this before the weekend ends I've never drawn Kimono's before so I hope I did an alright job - Not sure how I feel about the lighting in the end but at some point you gotta stop. I'm slowly getting to Lodgetember,, I'm just gonna be very delayed posts lol. I hope the Kimono itself doesn't look too crowded but I had a lot of fun drawing it, Anyway ITO!! ITS HER!!

like jekyll was born and raised in a world that had such twisted views of "good" and "evil" and it just made him feel like a horrible toxic person so he drinks a potion that could've nearly KILLED him in order to "rid" himself of his "evil" and as a result hyde is always making trouble and literally potentially sabotaged jekyll's life and career after jekyll constantly tries to suppress him because THAT'S how much jekyll hates himself.

also we obviously already knows jekyll's relationship with lanyon added up to these feelings BUT WHAT WERE JEKYLL'S PARENTS TEACHING HIM?? we haven't seen much of them AT ALL and i know that they definitely left an impact on him.

ALSO i think what's interesting is how dedicated to rogue science jekyll is. think about it. jekyll believed that queer relationships just can't work out (him and lanyon, rachel and jasper) especially since they're viewed as "not respectable" or something BUT he went out of his way to try to make rogue science look as respectable as possible. EVEN if it was probably risky and difficult. i guess his breakup with lanyon broke his heart that much huh 😭
