What is True Narrative and Testimonies?
True Narrative:
A true narrative tells a story in order from the beginning to the end. It's based on real events and doesn't make things up. You might find true narratives in history books, news articles, or someone's life story.
Ex. "Noli Me Tangere" by Jose Rizal:
True Testimony:
True testimony is when someone tells what they saw or experienced, usually in a courtroom while promising to tell the truth. It's important because it helps figure out what really happened and who's responsible for what.
Ex. Survivor of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda)

Essay #1
What is Lent for you?
Lent is a special time for Christians, lasting forty days before Easter Sunday. It means a lot to me spiritually. It's a time to think deeply about myself, to give up things, and to feel spiritually refreshed. Lent represents Jesus spending forty days fasting in the desert, facing temptation, and preparing for his work. It's also a time for us to think about our own lives, to admit our weaknesses and struggles, and to become closer to God.
One part of Lent that I connect with deeply is giving something up. Christians often choose to stop doing something they enjoy during Lent, like a favorite food or activity. This isn't a punishment, but a way to focus more on spiritual matters. By giving up something we love, we remember Jesus's sacrifices and the bigger picture beyond our own wants. Personally, I've found that giving up something during Lent helps me appreciate the good things I have and reminds me not to take them for granted.
Lent is also a time for reflection and saying sorry for the things we've done wrong. We pray, fast, and help others to grow closer to God. It's not always easy to look at our mistakes, but it's an important step toward becoming better people. Lent is about more than just sacrifice and reflection—it's also a time of hope. We know that Easter Sunday is coming, which celebrates Jesus rising from the dead. It's a reminder of the victory over bad things, showing God's love and promise for a fresh start.
In my own spiritual journey, Lent is crucial. It helps me remember to be humble, thankful, and to rely on Lord. As I go through Lent, I feel hopeful for the joy of Easter and the chance to start anew with Christ's help. I am happy to see my self mourning for all his sacrifices. No one can change that he is our savior.

"Life's Infinite Horizon"
Today, I celebrate the essence of dreams in life. Dreams, our deep yearnings, are the tapestries of existence, infusing purpose, igniting passions, and guiding us to reach stars. We hanker for dreams in purest form, like lighthouses in life's tempestuous sea. Vehement determination molds dreams into reality amid obstacles. Dreams and actions exist symbiotically, like bees and flowers. Rhapsody accompanies their pursuit, reminding us of achievable goals. Epiphanies light our path with newfound clarity.
In conclusion, cherish dreams as life's compass. Embrace them with mountain-like vehemence, childlike rhapsody, and the wisdom of epiphanies. Discover the essence of existence, the symphony of aspirations, and the human spirit's resilience in pursuing dreams.
