This blog is officially inactive

After many years of Tumblr, I am officially quitting.

Back in 2012 I first started posting as marveldaily to share my love of Marvel comics. My blog was stolen and deleted by some awful people and I decided to remake under this url. The name came from a funny phrase I've written very often in the face of some of the most absurs things this medium has produced: "*jazz hands* COMICS!" The weird, the funny and the truly bizarre aspects of comics is something that has fascinated me for many years and that I still love dearly in this medium.

However, the fandom has let me down and broken my heart in ways I could not imagine. I am fortunate enough the people I follow and who follow me back on this website are some amazing human beings, however interacting outside of my own social bubble, I have been shocked by the absolutely disgusting episodes of bullying and harassment this fandom has been guilty of.

This has combined with me growing up and finding a job that barely pays enough for me to rent a room and eat regularly, which is definitely not ideal for a hobby as expensive as comic books.

It's simply impossible for me to continue what has become an unwelcome duty instead of a relaxing hobby.

After barely updating the blog in the last year, many of you have probably left already, but this is my official goodbye. Thank you everyone who has been respectful and kind to me in these past 6 years. Maybe we'll meet again.

shatteringstars . I really was inspired to draw @lewistanofficial‘s shatterstar and i personally cant wait to see him on the big screen. I talk about this with my friends all the time Asian male heroes are so rare in the X-men let alone comics. which is kinda surprising to me with how diverse the X-men are. Sure we have someone like Sunfire but he hasn’t officially joined and a character like thunderbird the 3rd a min man member. Sunfire also represents a series of ideas from a different generation as well. a more nuanced look at an update character would be awesome imho. I’m glad some people are taking steps in this other direction. Also I keep thinking about how cool it would be to watch someone like shatter star ⭐️ on the big screen 📺 at age 10.
