At the beginning of the lesson our teacher introduced us to theater in the DP. After that, she shared an important affirmation with us and then we played several games as a warm up. Following that, we talked about improvisation. The next stage of our lesson was doing quick improvised scenes. We did it in pairs and each of us had a particular task for the other person to perform during the scene. It was fun and I really enjoyed doing this exercise, during which we developed ATL skill - negotiating different ideas with peers and teachers. I am looking forward to more lessons like this in the near future!

Today we watched a movie titled “Hamlet” directed by Robert Icke and Rhodri Huw. Hamlet’s role was played by Andrew Scott and Jessica Brown Findlay had Ofelia’s role. The film was a recorded theater play at the West End in 2017. The entire play lasts 3 hours and 11 minutes.
What is especially unique about this play, is its fresh appearance and the modern-dress production. I really liked the sophisticated acting presented by the actors. Another worth- noticing aspect of the paly was the complexity of the setting and properties.
This masterpiece has been nominated for Best Revival, Andrew Scott as Best Actor.

Today during the lesson we did a quick warmup and then went to the park. Our task was to follow a random person. Secondly, we had to pick another person and try to mimic their style of walking.
This activity aimed to develop our acting skills. By trying to copy another person’s way of walking we discovered how much can each person’s walking tell about them. This exercise also enabled us to let us look into our selves and strengthen the connection with ourselves.

During today’s lesson we practiced ATL skill - building consensus. At the beging we, as a whole group, were told to make a drawing. We weren’t allowed to communicate, however, our drawing had to looked like it was drawn by one person. It was an interesting exercise and we did it pretty well. Our final product was a drawing of a big pizza surrounded by small pictures. Then each of us, on a separated pieces of paper had to draw something pleasant, enjoyable. We passed the drawing to the person on the right and then we continued to draw our drawing, but on someone’s paper. When we got back our piece of paper we had to title it. Then one person started to make a drawing, but they couldn’t put a pen up until they were done, and then again we passed a drawing, so everybody drew a part of it. At the end we got a really nice piece of art, it was comprehensive and contained a picture of 4 Kanye Wests. Finally we put all the drawings on the flower and divided into two teams. While one group had to show the picture with theirselves without talking, the other had to guess which picture were they showing. At the very end of the lesson everybody shared their emotions. I really liked today’s lesson, especially making a group drawing without putting a pen up.

The review of the short film “The maker” 10.10.2023
Today, on the 10th of October 2023 during the theater lesson we watched a film called “The maker”, directed by Christopher Kezelos and produced in 2011.
This movie is a original piece of art that puts forward an issue of existence.
“The maker” tells an interesting story, as the main character is a scary-looking rabbit that tries to create a female creature that would look similar to him. He has a limited amount of time to fulfill his plan. The action takes place in one room, which is in classic style. The furniture are old and the equipment there is rather vintage.
The whole movie is accompanied by a violin opus which enhance the watching experience. The film is gripping until the very end and leave the watchers with a reflection about humans existence. The animation is beautiful as well as it has its own style.
Everything in the film is worked out to the smallest detail. The interior of the room is fully equipped and designed, the facial expression of the characters match really well the changing action and the animation is enjoyable to watch due to aesthetically-pleasing visuals. Also the music speeds up when the main character hurries and slows down during calm moments.
All in all, due to its beautiful music and creative visuals the movie is really enjoyable. Moreover, it leaves the watcher with a reflection and forces to think deeply about the life and destiny. I highly recommend to watch “The maker” movie!

Today at the beginning of the lesson everyone wrote three phrases: one name of a person, one title of a film and one random thing. We put them on a separate pieces of paper and then we were divided in to two teams and we played charades. Then when every phrase was used, we did the second round and the task was to describe the clue with only one word. During the charades we practiced the following ATL skill: interpret and use effectively modes of non-verbal communication. The while lesson was a lot of fun, as I really enjoyed playing charades!

Then we shared our feelings and played a concentration game with passing a stick to the people and then the same with animals and kitchen stuff. We played a game with “passing an imaginary knife and clapping. Finally, we played a game with connotations in which we picked two random words and two people told their associations. The game lasted until the two connotations match. Today we practiced atl skills - focus and concentration. What I really enjoyed about this session was listing 10 things that I was grateful for!
