I took an economics class last semester and A LOT of economic theory is just based around the idea that CEO's can and will do "THIS" to maximize profit and then "THIS will happen to prices/the economy" and I just could not reconcile my world view with that at all like my brain was not wired for it.

Why tf would I raise the price of goods because demand is up? It's not costing me more money to make the item I can just keep making it the same way. all that does is make it harder for some people to afford it. The idea is that if so many people are buying said item you can ride that demand wave and make more money at the expense of the consumer but obviously thats stupid and greedy af and I would simply not do it and the additional problem is that this has a far reaching effect on related/other people's goods and services and causes price changes all over. we could simply just not participte in capitalism like this and I think about that a lot

As much as I want and am looking forward to a follow up series for Agatha, Wiccan would really benefit from his own big box office movie. I'm just worried putting him into a fresh movie after he's had 2 seasons of TV development isn't going to go over well. Definitely needs to start with the scarlet witch movie but even that is going to confuse people im sure. He definitely needs a solo movie at the very least before the young avengers team up and before he meets hulkling.

I'm sort of imagining it like this; Vision Quest -> Wiccan Series -> Scarlet Witch Movie -> Wiccan Movie (maybe include Ms. Marvel to set up young avengers) -> Hulkling Movie -> Young Avengers (and jump start their relationship) -> Wiccan + Hulkling Duo Movie

Hulkling will need his own movie and i feel his character could handle it. (Spiderman 2002 intro style) I dont know if doing a series for him will work. Doing too many of the young avengers in shows might be bad and they've already done 3 of them. At least America and Cassie have been in movies.

70s and 80s fashion being "in" for gays rn is frustrating (I know its kind of always in for gays but its a lot more prominent rn than it was at least where I live) because it took me forever to find a sense of style that I really enjoy and feel like it draws a lot of compliments and I got to this one years ago but it took me forever to build my wardrobe and now I just look like every twink on the block. on the other hand I was ahead of the trend so there's that

gonna have to move up to more 90s fashion maybe i'll look at boybands or move down to 50s/60s and wear vintage preppy clothes

70s western wear would also be cool to try but very hard to find that

My hope for Agatha's ending rn is her realizing the importance of her coven and wishing for them to come back and it includes Sharon cause i love debra joe but it would be a good character arc for Agatha (who actively [redacted] one of them and seemed genuinely apologetic for it for a second) to realize her coven is power or something something the power was the friends we made along the way. Something like that. this show did a great job of making me care a lot about the characters (and im still mad it didnt turn out sharon was an actual green witch though we get the green trial next week so you never know. We still havent seen that part of the song where it says "spirits as our guide") and while I do appreciate a story not afraid to kill people off I still really like the idea of the coven surviving after they all seemed to genuinely like each other so much

ive also dabbled in tarot before and this made me want to try again since i heard the episode did it justice

This is the thing with the "I won't vote for Harris" supposed leftists.

None of them will tell you how allowing Trump to be elected helps.

Because they don't have an answer.

Because they don't really care about anything other than how they personally feel.

Actual leftism involves making pragmatic moves. The public will for revolution doesn't exist, and we live in a two party system. If you want to fight that system, great. There are things like ranked choice voting and the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact we need to be fighting for. But those are fights that have to happen year round, at the state level, and not just in an election year.

And in the meanwhile, you vote defensively and strategically, in an attempt to save as many people as possible.

Saying you aren't voting for Harris isn't taking a stand against genocide. It's putting your head in the sand and admitting you care more about your own comfort than making a difference in the world.

Why aren't you getting involved in your local politics? Why aren't you running leftist candidates at a local level, so you can move them up in the system and eventually move the political discussion left. You want to know why politics have moved right? It's because the right wing has been doing that for decades.

Your refusal to participate won't save a single life.

It only means you're abandoning everyone else.
