I've just read some people saying that they think it's weird when people ship them because they're brothers. I wondered what you thought about that. Yeah, nonny, I ship them in a romantic/sexual way as well, not just as brothers. Their relationship is so complex and so fucked up, I just have to ship them in every way possible. It’s the rules.

I think people should learn the difference between blood brothers and martial arts brothers and the world would be a better place. I’m joking but I’m also not joking. Some fans (usually from western fandom) mistake martial arts brothers and foster brothers and that’s why there’s so much confusion in this regard. Wwx wasn’t adopted by the Jiangs, his father was a servant of the Jiangs ergo he’s a servant too and Madame Yu likes to remind him of his place although the other members of the family really tend to see him as the part of the family. And that’s where the delicious complexity comes to the picture, and that’s why some fans don’t like it when other fans ship chengxian other than brothers. But remember, this is a fictional relationship about fictional characters and you can do with them whatever the fuck you want in your head.
