Some addition. I stopped exactly at the start of Galavantland ("Filled Coffers"), when I lost my opportunity to play the game. The characters and some of the save files are obtainable, but the achievements are not properly loading.

Also, to fill the gaps in that whole Ambition thing. Quest (Beatrice) is "Efficient Expander", Kuldan (Marushka) is "Wealthy Populace", Canopian (Soul; not mentioned here) is "Peacemaker", and Alt (the alternative versions of the existing sims plus some) was supposed to be "Best in Show" (or something along these lines). It all started to fall apart with the Holy Bonus kingdom (the Mays), for which I couldn't find a place. Though, I have exactly six kingdom ideas to replace the ones, mentioned above, if I would start anew...

I forgot to put my pictures from the kingdom of Herexen ("Legen (wait for it) dary!" ambition) here. That's kind of sad. You definitely need to know about the local mage.

So enjoy some new characters from some really young kingdoms instead.

Meet Richard and Sidney. Richard rules (in all possible ways) and Sidney sells random stuff. Their main goal is Filled Coffers.

The same goes for Daphne and Jade respectively. Daphne is adventurous and bloodthirsty (for a princess, at least). And Jade manages to make some money via trade, which is surprising, considering her relationship with the Guild. They reside in a kingdom with a "Hard Workers" ambition.

So here's the list of completed ambitions. On platinum, no less:

New Beginnings - Jollywood;

No Quest for the Weary - Waldoland;

Imperial Domination - Verona;

Fame - Crystal Tokyo;

Safe and Sound - Kamelot;

Thoughts and Prayers - Parnassus.

Not bad.

Also, meet rulers that I'm going to have in the future. I just didn't create the kingdoms for them, because I need to complete "Hard Workers" to unlock their ambitions (which happens to be "Efficient Expansion" and "Wealthy Populace" respectively). Inspiration for Beatrice comes from one of my favourite quests, while Marushka is based upon a fairytale movie character.

Okay. I'm having troubles with a hard drive that I use for "The Sims Medieval". It's already been brought back from the brink of death once, but I'm really afraid it's going to fail now.

My backups are incomplete, but I still have some save files from every kingdom (though, for some reason, the achievements are lost) and each and every of my sims. But this trouble is bringing my medieval sim-creation in a limbo. I still haven't made some of the sims I wanted. My ideas were mostly centred around some JRPGs I'm drooling about (and some Flemish and British shows, with some other gaming stuff and an occasional appearance of original characters).

There's still a number of existing sims that were not published. It includes the characters from the kingdoms of Crystal Tokyo (the "Fame" ambition; the kingdom's theme speaks for itself), Kamelot (pretty obvious too, but with a certain quirk; though I've seen another person recreating it in TSM exactly from the same source), Verona (think about the teens from "The Sims 2"; maybe I'll need to recreate the Pleasantview boys, too), Kuldan (fairytale movies), Galavantland (so we won't be reprisin' that tune) and Alt (alternative versions of the existing sims). I'll try to make them available for download.

I don't know if you already knew this but I discovered a way to solve error 12! Basically you have to create a new save in the same ambition as your save, save, exit, replace the new castleworld file in the new save folder with the one of your old save. When you open the new save it will become your old save and you can save again! (Or at least, it allowed me to do so until now...) I recovered everything! All progress, sims and edited lots!

(But I think that It's safe only until the save is loadable, I don't know if it works if the save is corrupted)

Interestingly, it would never have occurred to me that this might help with the save error! Thanks for sharing this solution :)

In the game itself, all the needs are present - social, hygiene, fun, bladder - they are just hidden from view and not so important. There are three mudlets for hygiene - pretty cleanliness, simple cleanliness and "dirty" for unkempts. All sims can have zero hygiene, but they don't stink

There is also a bladder, but this rather affects the autonomy of using the pot, they do not pee for themselves as in other parts

As for custom mudlets, I don't make them just because I encounter errors and so far I can't do it. When it turns out, I will remember first of about the bladder)

I had this family in my mind for a long time (since playing "The Sims 1", actually).

They were loosely inspired by a TV show that I liked at the time (still like it, actually). It was less of an interpretation of the show's characters, and more like original characters in a similar setting. Fits quite well in the whole "The Sims" thing.

I had troubles uploading the original version of this family, so I stripped it from any sort of additional content. This is the base game version. I hope I can upload the initial version some time later. If not, this one is also fine.

I made a mistake with the names, so I reuploaded these two guys.

I surely have troubles adapting them.

Also, I finished the rest of the generals. I think I did Gudolf especially dirty, though.

That game finally done. Time to turn my other fetishes into TS4 (after I'll deal with them in "The Sims Medieval".

I'm finishing my Lagoonish thingy. Not now, though. The main Granvelosians are here (I headcanon this version of them to be very pre-canon, way before they got into power), the rest is hopefully on the way.

Couldn't find a proper hairstyle for Sauthar, so I got him a feminine-looking ponytail. Maybe I should have changed it for his sleepwear, though. By the way, Sauthar's sprite in the original game has him wearing the same hairstyle in every freaking situation (and you'll see this guy in his bed a couple of times).

Also, his hair colour is a reference to the novel's cover. I wish I could read it.

I really can't "modernize" the fantasy characters, but I try it nonetheless. Hopefully it would be easier recreating them in "The Sims Medieval".

I'm going to make some posts showing off the lots and Veridia's inhabitants. If you're not into historical-flavored games, go ahead and add 'Eulalia: Veridia' to your blocklist and I'll see you when I inevitably bounce back into Middleground!

Ages ago I was messing around with my medieval CC folder and was like, 'what if I make an iron age neighborhood?', and then it morphed into being inspired by Iron Age Britain specifically. Heavy emphasis on the inspired. (Also, I hate building roundhouses in this game.) So I'm pretty sure at this point it's just 'generic medieval'. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ oh well.

Anyway, this is actually pretty different from how I normally play. I'm actually having to balance taking care of sims' needs and their wants. There's a lot of Sun & Moon sets I'm learning to use, but we'll see how in depth the trade economy gets, lmao. Veridia also is a lot smaller than Middleground—just seven households, plus four townies in each age group.
