yet another thing I love about tasm movie is how fucking funny Gwen is about her relationship with Peter lmao…she’s so lowkey a lovey-dovey idiot like you KNOW she’s got romance novels hidden in her textbooks…the exact Second he asks her out you can see the calculations running thru her head ‘cute? scruffy in a charming way? chivalrous? into me? sensitive and creative? extremely smart but not smarter than me so I’ll never be over shadowed in our professional careers? Husband Material Located.’ she completely skipped over the dating thing and just decided they were engaged lmao. their first date was literally her bringing him home to meet her family…..and even though Peter was being a complete mess the whole night her parents and brothers were so chill and accommodating which means you KNOW this dramatic bitch had previously called a family meeting to announce that she had found The One™, complete with a power point presentation highlighting all of Peter’s greatest qualities, accomplishments, and cutest selfies, also laying out the future wedding date and color scheme for the ceremony (everyone clear their calendars for February 14th, 2022), and also detailing what exactly she’d do to them if they fucking embarrassed her in front of him…GOD when they’re on the roof and Peter’s trying to tell her he’s Spider-Man so he goes ‘Listen, I was bitten-” and she thinks he means by the LOVE BUG because in her world that’s how people fucking talk so she bats her eyes and goes ‘So was I’ trying to be flirty that was PEAK dumbass romantical energy…. when he jumps off the roof and she realizes that instead of falling for a safe and predicable suitor who’d become a doctor or something she fell in love with a selfless tragic hero archetype and she goes ‘oh, I’m in trouble’ GIRL YOU’VE BEEN DATING HIM FOR 20 MINUTES! you don’t have to be in trouble! but she’s already emotionally committed to be in this relationship for the long-haul. meanwhile Peter heart-eyes Parker is so head over heels and thrilled she’s into him that he’s just gonna run along with whatever she wants. they’re so in love and so stupid and so cute I miss these losers omg
