(Im pmsing) maybe someday people will clue in and they'll be somewhat understood, but the true tragedy of the libertines is the "you can't be a true agent of yourself if you want to be beloved as a celebrity" message. which is a crisis to be dealt with. There's a lot of Bob dylan praise right now, and im not poopooing DUH, but the praise is mostly about the vague, spell binding nature of storytellers. It's not the degrading empathy experience of "what a shame" or worse, "what?"
