Why do I keep seeing people write Nat has if she was a year younger than Jackie or Lottie? I hate reading a fic and seeing them make Nat younger than the other main Yellowjackets as if it’s not canonically shown that they were the same age and same class?

Nat, Jackie, Lottie, Van, Taissa, Shauna, Laura Lee, and Misty are always going to be older than the rest for me while everyone else is just a year or two younger than them.

my newest Jackienat head canon is that Jackie volunteered at a local youth center during the holidays in her Junior year for her College applications and saw Nat there all by herself and instead of allowing Nat to be embarrassed by seeing her at such a place all alone for the holidays, Jackie made sure to spend the entire night with Nat and make it seem like it was just two friends hanging out and that was the very first time, Nat considered Jackie a friend after joining the soccer team and saw her as more than just an uptight rich girl.

Jackie probably wouldn’t have end thought twice about her being there, she’d just be glad to see a familiar face and Nat definitely helped volunteered with her so they’d get to spend more time together.

this scene KILLS ME because jackie is literally ranting about natalie’s sex life. she is yapping to travis about nats standards and what she does in her free time. she canonically keeps note of everyone nat hooks up with and is bothered by it like….she is so chalant that it’s hysterical.

she is so insanely bothered by nat hooking up with people that aren’t her. why else would she give a fuck what nat is doing. this is supposed to be some malicious, nat-bashing scene when in reality…it’s just jackie taylor wanting natalie scatorccio soooo fucking bad. she wants her SO BAD that she’s COMPLAINING about her STANDARDS.

i can see nat showing up to practice late ONCE and jackie turning red like one of those angry cartoons while she marches over to her. fists clenched and all.

“oh let me guess who it was this time. bobby? or was it that older scumbag you met at that show? or….”

and she just goes on and on…rambling angrily….WHOLE TEAM watching her throw a gay ass tantrum. pure gold.

every time I see a fic where they have Jackie acting like a little princess who hates smoking makes me go insane when this literal scene exists. Same with Lottie!

We collectively need to stop ignoring the fact that Jackie smokes
