Taking the 4t2 concept too far. Yup, that's the Sims 4 face converted to The Sims 2, in all its blurry glory. Well, just a quick and really messy conversion, to be more precise.

Yet another Sims 2 face experiment I tried. Full disclaimer: nope, I will not finish this project. This was just a fun one day experiment I tried, because why not.

I made a ton of mistakes in this process, will definitely learn from that. Speaking of which, did you know you can make Shape Keys (Sims morphs) from rigged meshes in Blender? That's in fact the excuse I took to practice and learn in this little project. Sims 4 faces are rigged with joints, contrary to the Sims 2 faces which are animated with morphs. It was actually way easier than I anticipated.

The reason it looks so blurry is because I figured if (and a big if right here) this project was worth working on, maybe keeping the UV map mostly intact would help when transferring textures from TS4 to TS2. That's why it looks so pixelated. It's the original UV face map squished to fit into the TS2 mapping. I have to say, as uncanny as it looks and, even with the limited amount of morphs I made, I... kinda like it? But yeah honestly this is not worth it at all. It would require replacing all base face meshes, default replace all the Eaxis face templates, remake all the face sliders for these new meshes… All of that, but also for every single age and gender. Basically replace the whole Sims 2 face system! And then you would realize skins, makeup, eyebrows, and any face overlay would need to be adapted as well. So uh… that ain't happening, no thanks. If anything, it'd be better taking the original Sims 2 faces and making a couple changes here and there to improve their geometry. Better eyes, noses, ears, mouth, remove the original eyelashes and make them as optional accessories… As much as I love the iconic low poly Sims 2 faces, I still think there's quite a lot of room for improvement.

Two recolors for the Billy bookcase books. Ikea Stuff Pack required. I've wanted to give these books some more options as well ever since I did my other book recolors but I lost interest over time and never finished what I started. Then @episims made some beautiful new book covers and a mod for different book covers which included @isimchi's quirky covers and so I got inspired again.

So these two recolors use the textures of those two book cover defaults. They don't align perfectly, and some covers are rotated but as usual that is because of the way the mapping of this bookcase works. Some of the texture overlaps each other and so there are some small lines of different colors along the books, but if you ever zoomed in at the original textures you will notice mine align a lot better already (the originals have a lot of black lines around the books).

I thought it would be fun to include the .psd this time because most of the work is finding out where exactly to place the textures. Just place new textures over mine and you will have pretty new books in no time! You can also mix and match some of mine, both recolors are included in the file.

Apartment Life Sweater Dress Short

Well, this might already exists, but I couldn't find it so 🤷‍♀️ For teens, adults, and elders, they have the appropriate morphs. They're repo'd and pinned to ingame textures so the Apartment Life EP is required! :)

I saw these modular curtains by Feenwald in @jodeliejodelie's videos, found them and now intend to use them EVERYWHERE. They had some good recolors already but not enough neutral colors, so I made some. A total of 42 recolors because each color comes in solid and sheer version. You might think it's too much, but they are really nice curtains.

I separated them in two folders for your convenience after I've already numbered them, therefore the numeration may seem odd.

Meshes are NOT included, get them and the original recolors HERE

My Sims Essences as Photoshop Patterns

I did some testing and found that 128x128 works well as a pattern size to use these for recoloring Sims 2 stuff. I turned them all into Photoshop Patterns so I can have them handy and I'm sharing them for anyone else who might want them. I even made labeled swatches you can include with any recolors you make

Veranka converted this cute chair from Life Is Strange to Sims 4, and I don't know if this has been converted before or if a Sims 2 version already existed, but here it is anyway. It came in only one color so I also recolored it in Hafi's Skunky Palette.

I used TS4's elephant topiary to recreate the Rampa Lopside End Table, and then made a couple of extra random recolors just because. While I was at it, I made a recolor of the Easy Swing Door to resemble the "Fat Boy" Vinyl Door from TS1.

4t2 EP16 Lingerie Net

A 4t2 conversion of an underwear introduced in Sims 4 Lovestruck because I thought it looked cute... It only comes in the first four swatches (the two shown as well as black and white) because I had to manually edit the textures and some of the middle swatches looked kind of bland. Maybe one day I'll go back and do the gradients at least...

Credits: @paluding for the Tattooer, whoever at EA remembered adult humor existed and pitched the Lovestruck pack, Isabella Monty for proving elders can still get it.

AF-EF, categorized as underwear, uses basegame nude mesh (so any mesh replacements with e.g. smooth hands will work), 4 swatches.

Several 3D clothing models for The Sims 2 by Curtis Collins. Based on his resume on his site, he worked for Maxis Inc. on a contract basis as a Character Artist on The Sims 2 from October 2003 to February 2004. His role was to create and texture game characters.

On the models, you can see the unused Flip Hair hairstyle.

Also pictured are several unused variations of Cassandra Goth's dress. The black version of which was inspired by Alexander McQueen's 2002 Little Black Dress.

TU - EU Valentine's EAxis Recolors 💘

Valentine's Day-themed recolors of EAxis meshes for teens, adults, and elders! 💕

I used the EAxis meshes tfbodyhipjacketwideflaredpants (BG), tfbodydresspuffskirt (GL), tmbodyclosedcoatlongpants (BG), afbodyshortdressboots (BG), afbodysuitplunge (GL), ambodyclosedcoatlongpants (BG), efbodyhandyman (BG), efbodyshortdressboots (BG), and embodyclosedcoatlongpants (BG).

"ShortDressBoots" and "BodyClosedCoatLongPants" are repositoried to the adult version, so the adult files are required to see the textures on the teen & elder versions.

I’d be curious to try and mod in different skins for zombies depending on the way they were made. I imagine it’d mainly involve adding a parametre to the ressurection BHAVs, which I’m investigating atm.

The ressurectomitron would create a regular rot zombie; an evil witch’s zombie would have a patchwork doll/Frankenstein’s monster type skin. I’m not sure about what to do for the genie’s.
