It's Ashley Hour here at the tennis center. In honor of Ashley Louise Crouse please wear your I'm For Ash shirts or anything light blue. This is IUDM's wall of inspiration. We asked all dancers, committee members, alumni and visitors to tell us... Why do you dance? The star closest to the camera says for "Those who have lost their battle. Those who have won. And those who are still fighting." #WhyIDance #FTK #RW #ALC (at IU Recreational Sports Tennis Center)

*drum roll please* Introducing, the first Riley Kid of the Week 2016, Marlee Davenport! "My favorite part of the marathon is sharing my story with everyone and of course the bounce house! The silliest thing my Riley buddy and I have done is taken silly selfies at The Children's Museum. I love IUDM because they help support Riley Hospital and kids like me" - Marlee. WE LOVE YOU MARLEE!! 💛💛 Thank you for being a light in all of our lives! #ftk

"My list of reasons to dance expands each year, and over the past seven years I’ve worked with Dance Marathon, this list has grown into my most cherished and motivating list that I work to serve each day. One of the most motivating reasons that I dance now is to be able to see someone else’s life changed by Dance Marathon - our Riley families, our dancers, committee members, high school marathons, our donors, and our alumni. We all have a moment that we felt our lives had a little more purpose than they did before because of Dance Marathon and knowing that every action we take with the organization, whether big or small, makes a difference on some level to bettering someone’s life. I love to see that light bulb go off in someone when they finally start to let Dance Marathon change them, because I remember that feeling and knowing that my life had been changed for the better because of it. Once that feeling is captured, that’s when the real magic of Dance Marathon begins for someone. " - Emma Weiler, Director of Fundraising #whyDMwednesday

It's time for the best part of your Monday- the Riley Kid of the Week! This week's Riley superstar is spunky 9 year old Molly Hess. If she could travel to one place in the ENTIRE world, she says it would be to New York to see Brielle, her past IUDM buddy. We hope one day that dream gets to be a reality 💛❤️ We love you Molly!! #ftk

"I honestly don't think there is a particular reason I dance at this point in my DM experience. It has become so abstract thanks to all of the people I have had the chance to meet and all of the memories I have had the chance to make. Each instance provides a new level of passion that molds with the one before it, forming a place in my heart like no other. Knowing that I have the chance to make a difference day in and day out is something that I cherish more than anything and I hope everyone involved in this organization feels the same way at some point. We have impacted so many people whether they are being treated at Riley or looking for a new family here on campus, this amazing cause helps those who participate as much as it helps the patients we are attempting to provide with the proper funds. I would have never dreamt of becoming so consumed by anything, but I wouldn't trade this cause for anything in the whole world. We have helped save lives, we have made incredible friends, and created something special for all of those who come after us. At the end of the day, Dance Marathon provides us all with the ambition to make a difference and that is truly priceless." - Toby Orme, Director of Special Events #whyDMwednesday
