I think I may come across as being more Zionist than I actually am. In truth, many of the things the Israeli government says and does concerns me greatly, and I often feel uncomfortable endorsing some more right-wing Zionist opinions about Israel, or indeed about what the opinions of world Jewry should be. But I also, in my diving down the Jumblr hole (in particular those parts of it devoted to antisemitism), have become increasingly convinced that the gentile world in general doesn’t give a shit about Jews. If we all died tomorrow, or if we all decided to abandon everything we do that we consider Jewish, I think a lot of gentiles would go “oh, that’s too bad,” and would go about eating their toast and not giving a crap about our extinction. And that fundamentally speaking is why I consider myself to be a Zionist: because I feel that the only people who give a shit about Jews are our fellow Jews
