“We’ll never know if we took it too seriously, only if we didn’t take it seriously enough.” -Not my quote but couldn’t figure out who said it.
Masks only help keep other people from getting sick and could even increase your risks because they make you touch your face more often. Lay off the toilet paper, the hand sanitizer, the gloves, and the masks. Our healthcare workers are on the front lines and can’t even gain access to this basic stuff. I recently read that they are at the point of reusing their masks and using trash bags in place of safety equipment. YOU ARE NOT THE ONE AT MOST RISK.
FOR ANYONE SCARED OF THE CORONAVIRUS:
Social media is making this a lot more serious than it really is
Masks don’t really help you and you might still get sick while wearing them. Save them for doctors and healthcare professionals.
Avoid touching your face and wash/sanitize your hands
We have a better chance of getting sick and recovering than dying
Most dead people are old people
More than 80% of cases are not severe
Don’t listen to anyone that says get the flu shot because the flu is different from Corona
Total cases: 101,000+
People recovered: 56,000+
People dead: 3,500+
That’s a 2% death rate
Calm down

This is a really important point. Boys usually display symptoms of autism by being loud and obnoxious while girls tend to be more quiet and reserved. The fact that for centuries this is how women and girls were expected to be has contributed to a trend of under-diagnosis. This is just one of the many ways that gender expectations still impact today’s society.
why are schoolchildren so much better at detecting autism in girls than legit doctors
after seeing a knowledgeable pediatrician ur whole life you’ll finally get evaluated as a teenager and they’ll be like “I am forced to concede...that you may have a slight case of the Ass Burgers”
when Melissa, Kelsey and Sophie from the third grade will look at you for .5 seconds, simultaneously be like “this other small girl has something wrong with her” and give you lifelong trauma without even referring you to a psychologist

The Moral Dilemma of Generation Z
My generation is one of the most selfish and center minded generations to ever have existed. We have grown into a world that we’re constantly taking from: from the planet, from family, from friends, and from ourselves. We are no longer capable of living simply as did many of our ancestors. We are the first generation that is unfamiliar with a world in which technology does not control our lives and livelihood, nor do we know what privacy and legitimate happiness looks like. We are constantly reaching for an empty happiness while still desperately craving more and more instant gratification, but does that necessarily mean that we will be happy? Will any of this matter as we wither away in a nursing home, unable to move without shaking, or live without assistance? Does the world in which we currently live really matter? We are simply one speck on the face of time; before long, the sun won’t remember that it ever shed light on our faces, darkened our skin, or visualized the destruction of our own creation. The sun will simply continue to shine brightly until it, too, eventually begins to dim, just like our phone as they die and our own sinking wits as we realize just how much they’re taking with them.
