Welcome to my blog, fellow friend. I'll post some fanfiction on here, requests are CLOSED for the next few months I think. Check out my fav's for great stuff from great people. Hope you have fun!
Don't wanna be here? Send us removal request.
Note
Do you have watt pad? Because your story about Fili and the spider (which was amazing), reminded me or might have been the same one I read on there. It was while ago so I don't exactly remember. Sorry to bother🌸
Hi darlin, no I don’t have wattpad, the only site I post english fanfiction on is here (thank you so much ♥). The only thing I can think of is that it maybe is just similar to mine? Because I know I didn’t copy it from anyone, the other author possibly just had the same idea or got inspired by my story or something.
Thank you for telling me either way and you didn’t bother me at all :)

Can you write a fanfic about Legolas where the reader gets sucked into middle earth and Legolas finds out about her depression and self harm?
Hey babe, thank you very much for the request (and sorry for the laaaaaaaaate answer) but this topic is probably the only one I don’t want to write about because I have so less experience in it and I don’t want to harm anybody with my writings. I hope you understand xx

Connected souls (Fili x Reader)
A/N: Requested by anon: May I request #88 w/ Fili? [...]
#88 = “After everything... I’d still choose you.”
Thank you so much for your request and I’m really sorry that it took me nearly two weeks to write it, but this one is for you and I really hope you like it.
I had planned to make this a twoshot, but I decided to not let you wait any longer.
I used Khuzdul in this, but I put the translation right behind the words in brackets, for that you guys won’t have to scroll down all the time xx.
I hope you enjoy :)
Word count: 4282 (I don’t know what happened...)
Warnings: Lots of drama, I never thought that I’m the drama queen type of girl lmao, but I guarantee you a happy ending.
~*~
You nervously fumbled with the fabric of your long (F/C) dress, as you stood in front of the mirror and looked at yourself.
You werde all dolled up, because during the next minutes, a very important meeting would take place. You would finally meet Fili's uncle, King Thorin, as his fiancée.
After you and the young prince had dated for months now, all without the knowing of Thorin, he yesterday had asked to court you and you had happily said yes, making all your dreams come true.
When you had first come to Erebor after the battle of the five armies with your uncle Bilbo, who wanted to visit his dwarven friends, Fili had automatically drawn all your attention to himself.
Whenever you'd see him, you'd secretly admire him from afar, gazing at his muscular figure and his cute smile. You even asked your uncle Bilbo a lot of questions about him, loving to hear about his braveness and dedication to safe his family and friends.
You hadn't really had much hope to actually be with him, though and tried to be content with only meeting his eyes occasionally or, even better, him giving you a smile and a wink whenever he passed you.
So when he then suddenly one day didn't just walk past you but instead came up right to you and wanted to know if you'd like to spend some time with him, everything changed.
Both of you had soon inaugurated Bilbo, and Kili had known it from the beginning anyway, for him being the one to push Fili to finally ask you out, as your blonde prince had told you later.
But Thorin had been something different, because Fili had not been sure if his uncle would have accepted a realtionship between a dwarf and a hobbit and both of you had been too afraid that he wouldn't allow it.
Anyhow, now the situation was different.
You weren't only Fili's girlfriend, but his fiancée, the woman he wanted to marry. So he had decided to finally tell his uncle today, and that's why you were here.
You were pulled out of your thoughts, when you felt two arms slunging around your waist from behind and smelled the pure scent of your lover, as he draped his chin on your shoulder.
„You look beautiful, Kurdunuh (= my heart).“
You smiled lightly, as you caressed his cheek and turned your head to gently kiss the other. By the time you had spend here, Fili had taught you a few things in Khuzdul, mostly love phrases, while Kili, his troublesome but loveable younger brother, only ever taught you insults and curses. When it came to you, you found both useful.
„Thank you, men daor (= my dear). I think it's time?“
You looked at him through the reflection of the mirror and as you saw the love for you, that his eyes were filled with, you asked yourself how you could've gotten so lucky.
„Yes.“
You slowly nodded your head and sighed heavily, and Fili knew you too well to not notice that something was bothering you.
„What is it, gimlelul (= my brightest star)?“
It wasn't your intention to burden Fili with your insecurities, so you tried to play it down and put on a fake smile.
„Oh, it's nothing, don't worry, my love.“
But as you looked in Fili's face and saw his sympathetic and yet expectant smile as he raised his eyebrows, you knew he wouldn't let loose.
„It's actually really stupid,“ you sighed, while he still said nothing and waited for you to keep talking, „but I don't know what I'd do, if your uncle wouldn't approve our engagement. I... I can't loose you.“
Your voice went quieter and quieter while you talked and you were surprised, when Fili turned you around and hugged you, holding you close to him.
„A world where I'm going to leave you still needs to be created. There's nothing my uncle could do to part me from you, I promise.“
All of a sudden you felt the urge to cry, but you forced back your tears succesfully and just nuzzled your nose deeper in that certain place, where his neck ended and his shoulders began. This was probably your favorite place on earth.
„And,“ he added, „I think we have Kili on our side too. He'd simply chew Thorin's ear off and look at him with those big brown eyes and uncle won't be able to resist. Simple as that.“
You couldn't help yourself but giggle at his words, causing Fili to grin pleased with himself for being able to make you laugh.
„There you go, now come and let's go. There's no reason to put it off any longer.“
He offered you his hand and an encouraging smile, which you accepted and returned. You were now more optimistic that everything would come out well. How could it not, when Fili was right by your side, right?
Oh you were wrong, so wrong. But you should find out about it soon enough.
Thorin awaited you in the throne room, for that he had wanted to talk with Fili about something very important and the young prince had decided that this would be the perfect opportunity, to announce something very important himself, too.
As you and Fili entered the throne room, Thorin was already there, as well as Kili, their mother and your hopefully soon mother-in-law to be, Dis and another dwarrowdam you didn't know, but you didn't pay much attention to her.
Kili in the meanwhile was talking insitently to Thorin, his face expression was upset, even furious and you started to feel uneasy, not knowing what was going on.
As they noticed your entrance, they went still and Thorin and his sister wore a supposedly calm mask, while Kili seemed to be full of rage. But behind his anger, there also was a hint of compassion, while he was looking at you and his brother.
„Fili, I'm glad you could come,“ Thorin spoke to his nephew, his powerful voice filling the whole hall.
„and you too, (Y/N). Bilbo's niece is always welcome here.“
You respectfully bowed your head and scraped up your best Khuzdul as you spoke.
„Dolzekh menu, thane men Thorin (= Thank you, my King Thorin).“
The king seemed pleased about your attempt to speak his language and nodded at you in approval, increasing your hope that he'd maybe accept you as Fili's wife.
Fili then looked at you, as in asking for your permission to announce your engagement and you nodded, squeezing his hand tighter and he squeezed back, turning to his uncle.
Thorin noticed your hands and frowned, already suspecting what was going on.
„Uncle, (Y/N) and I have something to announce. Yesterday I-“
He was interrupted by Thorin holding out his hand.
„Don't forget what you were saying, irak'makk (= nephew), but let me introduce you to Menina first, the princess of the Firebeard Dwarfs from Mount Dolmed.“
During your time in Erebor, you hadn't seen many dwarrowdams, for that they were well protected and hidden, but from the few you had seen, Menina was clearly the most beautiful.
She had a beard like every dwarf-women, but it looked as silky and groomed like her flaming red locks and her eyes were of the brightest green you'd ever seen.
But Fili only had a brief glance for her.
„Hello“, he greeted her scarcely and then went back to face his uncle.
„As I was saying, (Y/N) and I-“
„I have big news for you, Fili. I made an agreement with her family, and you and Menina are getting married in two months. She is your fiancée.“
You and Fili both didn't realise what he was saying at first, but then as his words were repeated in your head, it was as if he had stabbed a sword right through your chest. She is your fiancée.
You gasped, nearly losing your steady with Fili being the only support that held you upright.
„Wha... What are you saying, uncle? My fiancée? This woman? No. (Y/N)... (Y/N) is my fiancée, I'm going to marry her, not some stranger! That's what I wanted to tell you“, his voice sounded imploring, pleading for his uncle's understanding.
„A marriage between a hobbit and the prince of Erebor? No, that is out of question. You are going to be the king of this kingdom, Fili, and you need a queen by your side for that. A dwarven queen. I'm sure (Y/N) is a nice girl, but you can't marry her.“
With every word he said, it was like he was inserting more and more swordS into you body, all painfully slow, and his words echoed through your head, nearly causing you to vomit.
„A nice girl?! I love her, Thorin! I'm not going to marry any other woman besides her and I don't care about her race, I'd even take her if she was an elf, because her inside is more valuable to me than any jewel in this world, the arkenstone included! So either you give us your approval for our marriage, or I'll leave Erebor and you will never see me again!“ There was no imploring anymore, his voice sounded merciless and full of anger.
He slung an arm around your shoulders, pressing you at his side and you had heard his mother wincing when he was talking about leaving.
„For once in your life, do not rush things and just think about it, Fili. In the life of a king, love is only incidental. You have to do what is best for your kingdom and your people. A king can't just marry out of love and that is a fact!“
As he was looking at both of you, helding on to each other with determinded and painful faces, his heart ached and his eyes grew softer. He wished that he wouldn't have have to do this, but reality was and always has been cruel.
He stood up from his throne and walked over to you, resting a hand on his nephews shoulder.
„Look, I am sorry, I really am. In another life, I wouldn't have said anything against your marriage and give you my blessing, but it is like it is. A king has to sacrifice himself to his folk and you as the future king are going to begin with this marriage, there is no other way.“
Fili angrily wiped his hand from his shoulder. „No, this is never going to happen! If this is really your last word, then was it also the last you ever said to me. (Y/N) and I are leaving right now.“
Only as Fili was talking, you began to realize what he was all giving up for you.
It was not only the life he was trained and prepared for since he was born, but also his family. There was no way you could answer for that. It took all your brave and nobleness to say the following sentence.
„No Fili, you're... you're uncle is right“, you interfered, nearly choking on your words.
„What are you talking about?“, Fili asked puzzled.
„I can't let you loose everything because of me“, tears started to swell up in your eyes and you barely managed to keep them in.
„(Y/N)-“, Fili started, but you interrupted him.
„I-I just... I can't.“
You quickly turned away to prevent everyone from seeing you crying and paced out of the room as fast as you could without actually starting to run.
You couldn't bare being in this room any longer. All your dreams and all your hopes had been shattered within a few seconds by a few words.
You had barely made it out of the room, as Fili caught up to you and held you back.
„(Y/N), men furkhel, men urzudel (= my life of lives, my sun of all suns),“ the tears started to run down faster at his words and you sobbed, as he cupped your cheeks and gently wiped away yout tears with his thumbs,
„what did you mean with you can't let me loose everything? Don't you know, that without you, nothing I possess has a meaning to me?“
You closed your eyes, shaking your head. „No Fili, maybe you mean that now, but what about in a few years? Your uncle is right, I can't give you what you need. I have nothing what it takes to be a queen. I am weak, I can barely protect myself and I don't know anything about rulership. You... you're going to be king and you should take Menina,“ her name was like poison in your mouth and you could barely spit it out, dying inside at the thought of Fili, your love, being with another woman, „she can give you what you need, she is a princess and a dwarf, while I'm... I'm just a hobbit, Fili, let's face it, I can't offer you anything. No one would accept our love.“
„I don't care, don't you understand? After everything... I'd still choose you. I don't need this,“ he motioned his arm around to symbolize you the kingdom. „I've been homeless for the most of my life and I realize now, that if I leave Erebor, I'd still not be homeless as long as I'm with you, because you are my home. I don't care about being a king, I only care about being with you.“
Oh, his words were so beautiful and you wanted to believe them so much, or wait, you wanted his words to be enough so much.
Because you already believed that Fili was honest, at this moment, but what if in ten or twenty, hell, even in fifty years he'd realize what he had all given up on because of you and then started to hold that against you? Making you responsible for that mistake?
The truth was, he'd be damn right and you couldn't let it get this far.
Fili needed his family and his place was right here in Erebor, not somewhere in the wilderness with a useless hobbit.
So you made the hardest decision in your whole life, believing that it was the only right thing to do.
It was probably a mistake, but you couldn't hold yourself back and kissed his lips one time, then a second. Putting all your feelings for him in those kisses, swearing yourself to never forget the feeling of his lips on yours.
„No Fili, I can't take you life away from you, I just can't, please understand“, you then said.
„(Y/N), no, don't do this. Don't give up on us.“
You took his hand that was trying to hold you back in yours and kissed it one last time, pouring his scent in your nose.
„We were just a dream, Fili,“you said and smiled sadly through your tears while at the same time you were asking yourself, where you'd gotten that strength from to do all of this „your future is bound to someone else. The time with you was the best in my life and I don't think I'll ever love someone beside you, but you will, I'm sure of that. Dayamu khuzan ai-menu (= Blessings of the ancestors upon you).“
With that, you let his hands slip out of yours, took in his features one last time, from the bottom to the top, saved them in your memories and then turned your back on him, walking out of the gates of Erebor and out of Fili's life.
You didn't go back to your room to pack your things because you knew that one second longer in his presence, you wouldn't be able to stay on your decision.
You knew that Fili's last expression, the look of raw pain and sorrow as you left, would haunt you until eternity and you had been honest as you said, that you'd never in your life would stop loving him, but this was your burden to carry, your sacrifice to enable the person you loved most on this planet the life he deserved.
Your first stop was in Dale, where you sold the old necklace you had inherited from your family and bought some food and clothes with the money. It was hard to seperate yourself from that necklace, but it was the only choice you had and since you'd never in your life would sell the ring Fili had given you for your engagement.
As soon as you had everything you needed, you moved on, not planning to stay anywhere near the prince. You also didn't want to return to the shire and uncle Bilbo, not wanting to act like everything was okay by your family, when in real, you'd just left most of your heart and yourself in Erebor by Fili.
So you wandered around, staying here and there, but never settling anywhere.
After two years, when you were somewhere in the brown lands, eating in a dilapidated Inn, you heard the news of prince Fili having married a dwarven princess a few days ago.
You had cried a lot in this night, while at the same time you had been happy that he seemed to have moved on and started a new life.
You smiled as you imagined him laughing happily, but your smile soon turned into sobbs as you realized that you weren't the one he was happy with.
There wasn't anything you could do, it had been your choice, at least. Your fate seemed to be to wander around this world heartbroken on your own and death being your only, final salvation.
*~ ten long years later ~*
Yesterday you had arrived in Mirkwood, the nearest place to Erebor you dared to go, for that you were sure that none of the dwarfs would ever come voluntarily to elvish lands.
You had seen nearly every corner of middle earth, but you always found yourself returning to this one certain forest. It wasn't like you had any special bounding to the elves, you didn't detest each other, but you weren't best friends either. They always welcomed you and gave you some place to sleep, but that's that.
Some dark, little corner of your brain whispered that you only ever came here to catch a glance of Erebor on the way again, where he lived, but it was easy enough to ignore this voice.
Its been twelve years since you left Fili, but he hadn't had made his way out of your mind even for one second.
The image of him was always clearly in your head, while his voice was constantly in your ears and his scent in your nose. You hadn't forgotten one single thing about him.
Back in present, you had just gotten out of the bath – you had to admit ungrudgingly that here in Mirkwood were the best ones – when you overheard two elven guards talking about new guests. You hadn't intended to listen, but as soon as the word 'dwarf' was mentioned, everything else was forgotten.
„Do you remember the last time those dwarfs where here?“, asked the elf with black hair.
„Yeah, but then there had been a dozen of them. Now it's only the King and his heir, keeping the realtionship between the kingdoms peaceful and steady, I guess“, the she-elf answered, shrugging lightly.
You didn't get the rest of the conversation.
The king and his heir... could they mean Fili? Could he actually be here? Your thoughts were spinning and your breathing increased. After all these years, you might be able to take a glimpse on his delicate features again, and you didn't even dared to think about his smile.
You knew that this was wrong, that he had married another woman and that there was no chance he would still love you.
But you were so messed up and you couldn't remember how it was when your heart wasn't aching anyways, that you didn't care about to consequences and rushed in the room, the guards were standing in front of. They didn't try to stop you because come on, there was no way a hobbit could harm any of the royals and you weren't unfamiliar to them.
The room you entered was more of a hall, with very high ceilings and a lots of space. What caught your attention was a large table at the end of this room. You recognized King Thranduil at one end, with a few consultants, but you didn't pay much attention to them.
At the other end was Thorin, who had noticed your entrance and the second he recognized you, his calm expression turned into a dumbfounded one, not believing his eyes.
Right next to him was... your breath caught. It was him, it was really him.
His before bored looking, beautiful blue eyes suddenly went wide as he saw you, staring at you in disbelief.
You in the meanwhile were nearly absorbing his frame and you noticed, that he had changed a lot. He seemed to have matured in the years you were gone and it looked like he had gained some muscles.
But the biggest difference to before were his eyes, those astonishing saphires, they were... matte, they lost their shine.
Fili stood up from his seat, not caring that he interrupted Thranduil in what he was saying and slowly made his way over to you, still not sure if he could believe his eyes.
„(Y/N)? Amralimê (=my love), is that you?“
You closed your eyes at the familiar word, tears burning in your eyes. How many times had you imagined him saying that to you again?
Not long after, you sensed him now standing in front of you, but your eyes were still closed and as you felt him gently cupping your chin, goosebumps started to creep up your whole body.
„Open your eyes, please“, he asked silently.
You did as he said, and the tensed expression in his eyes turned to shock as he let go of you chin and after that, they turned meltingly soft.
„It really is you“, he stated and then, without a warning, he dove in and slung his arms around you, pressing you to his body tightly and holding on to you as if his life depended on it.
„I finally found you,“ he whispered into your ear, „and I won't let you go ever again.“
You were speechless, you'd never imagined him being happy about seeing you again. It was you who had left him, after all and he had created himself a new life, one, where there was no place for you, as you had thought. And what did he mean with that he won't let you go?
„B-But Fili,“ you said when you found your voice again and you loved the way his name rolled of your tongue, „I heard the news, you're... you're married and... I don't want to disrupt anything.“
He leaned back and cupped your cheeks, smiling. „Then you didn't hear that she wanted to divorce only one month later?“
You gasped, no, you certainly hadn't heard that.
„I never touched her and I couldn't give her what she wanted, because my heart was with another.“ What was he saying, was someone playing a trick on you? It was impossible that this was really happening.
„I love you and only you, I always have and always will. Khaz torak rar azamar (= Our souls are forever joined), I'm certain of this. Come back to Erebor with me, there won't be anyone standing in our way, I promise.“
Hot burning tears made their way down your cheeks and Fili wiped them away. This scenery was painfully familiar to you, because the last time this happened, it was because you were leaving him. But now, it was because you returned to him and he let you, he really let you.
„Men lananubukhs menu (= I love you),“ you slowly said, not sure if you were saying it right but he'd get your intention, „more than anything, more than my life. If you allow me, I will stay by your side but this time until I take my last breath and not a second earlier.“
The smile Fili now gave you was as bright and happy as the one when you gave him your yes twelve years ago. His eyes were literally burning with joy. He leaned down and kissed you, at first gently, but then more passionate and fiercely. You could taste all the pain and sorrow he felt throughout the last decade and you kissed him back as wildly as himself.
You only returned to this world, as you heard someone clearing his throat loudly. You breaked the kiss to look and saw it was Thorin, who tried to look at you both sternly, but he couldn't hide all of his amusement and the sparkle in his eyes to not let you know, that he was happy to see his nephew smiling again.
If someone had asked you one hour ago, if you'd ever come back together with the love of your life, you'd just shook your head, not even wanting to talk about this topic because it still hurt so much. Now, you were certain that your life wouldn't end with you wandering around all by yourself, hurting and thinking about Fili, but with him by your side, making your life complete until the very end.

Royal snowball fight
A/N: this shot is based on this imagine by @captainsxlo :
“imagine the kids of Erebor having a snowball fight and accidentally hitting thorin and SHITTING THEMSELVES because holy crap they’d just hit king thorin with a snowball and thorin joins in and plays with the kids”
So I stumbled upon this a few days ago and found it so adorable, that I just had to make a drabble out of it. I had literally so much fun whilst writing it and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did xx.
Word count: 1577
Warnings: none
~*~
It was the first winter in Erebor, after the battle of the five armies. The king and his heir were almost killed during that war, but with the help of elvish healing, the whole company had luckily survived.
After all the bad and misfortune that had happened to the dwarfs from the lonely mountain, it seemed like their time had finally come.
After the message of the reclaim of Erebor was spread among the dwarfs, almost everyone had returned happily to their homeland and to live under the reign of King Thorin Oakenshield, son of Thrain, son of Thror.
He quickly made himself known as a fair and competent king, who always had an open ear for his people's issues.
But there were also rumours, mostly among the younger dwarfs, that king Thorin was a very tough and merciless guy and that whoever had ever dared to upset him, was nowhere to be seen again.
In my opinion, it was that resting bitch face of his that frightened the kids, but anyhow, let's continue.
So one day, when the snow remained lying on Erebor's rocks, almost every dwarven child ran out of the mountain, in the early morning, to admire the the beautiful white ice crystals, that were lying on the ground and enveloping the mountain.
Some children were building snowmen, others were lying in the snow and created snow angels or they started up snowball fights.
Dili, Olgrunli, Glori and Nalin belonged to the last group of kids. They had started throwing snow at each other as soon as they talked their parents into letting them out to play.
The four of them were known to be rather mischivous since they were born, always setting up traps and playing pranks on their family members or teachers, giving their parents a hard time since they were able to stand.
So as it was in their nature, after a good hour of hitting each other with snow, they got bored and made a game of throwing the balls at other kids and then pretending to be innocent, supposedly not knowing what their victims were talking about.
They especially aimed for a little group of female children, that were working on a snowman and whose attention they wanted to gain.
Unfortunately, annoying others who were in the same age as them started to bore them too after a while, so they soon switched to older dwarfs, parents mostly, who were watching over their kids, making things more risky and fun.
„Hey, Nalin! Look at those giant dwarfs right there. I bet you wouldn't dare to throw a ball at one of them“, Olgrunli grinned, pointing at two muscular dwarfs with black hair, that had turned their backs to them. They surely were taller and bullier than most of the other dwarfs they had ever seen.
Olgrunli knew that the blonde dwarfboy would never turn down a dare, particularly when his best friends were alongside him.
„What, those old buffers you mean? Pah, step aside, girls, I'll show you how its done“, Nalin cockily stated, as he squatted down and began forming some snow to a ball.
„Wait, I have something to add,“ Dili chirped in, „you aren't allowed to hide yourself or ran away after you've done it.“
„Why? So that my parents can ground me when those codgers catch me? No way!“
„I'll convince my father to allow you to sit on our stallion, when you do it“, Dili smirked confidently, already knowing that he had won this fight.
„You mean the big black one? The horse?“, Nalin asked excited with sparkling eyes, not trusting his ears.
„Exactly that one.“
He didn't take much time to think this through and agreed: „Fine, let's do this!“
His friends cheered at him, as Nalin had the ball formed in his hands, aiming at the slightly shorter dwarf, the one who wasn't half-bald and who still had all of his hair, which fell down neatly over his back.
This could've been a sign for the young dwarf, for that only the royals had to care for their appearances, but the ten year old boy was too caught up in his thoughts about the horse to pay attention to it.
Before he took his shot, he buried his last bits of concern, for that he didn't want to look like a coward to his friends.
Besides, he always had wanted to ride a horse, especially a black stallion. Those ponies his father had were way too lame in his opinion.
So he didn't hestitate any longer, wound up, let go of the ball and hit his target right at the back of his head.
For a moment, everything seemed to stand still. Everyone stopped and gawked at Nalin in shock, not believing what he had done.
Then his friends started to laugh, patting him on the back and complimenting him about his technique and throw-style. Nalin soon joined in their laughter, delighted by his friends praises.
Neither of them knew what was really going on, but then, the dwarf Nalin had hit, slowly reached for the back of his head and then turned around, as his gaze pierced right into Nalin's, already knowing where the snow ball had come from.
The laughter of the boys abruptly stopped and pure dismay began to shine on their features, as they recognized the dwarf as king Thorin himself, the one, who had once been captured by orcs and freed himself by killing 50 orcs with a hairpin all by himself and then having eaten them for breakfast later, at least that's what the boys were told.
The king slowly started to walk towards the blonde dwarfboy never taking his gaze off his eyes, while Nalin was nearly shitting himself and the others were trembling like a leaf.
When Thorin stood only a few inches in front of Nalin, he stopped to walk.
„Did you just throw that snowball?“, the king slowly asked, putting as much threat in his voice as he could. A few metres behind him, Dwalin chuckled to himself as he watched the scene.
„Y-Yes, your majesty, and I...I'm really so-“, Nalin's shakily voice was cut off by Thorin.
„What's your name?“
„N-N-N-Nalin, son of Bofroin, sir.“
„Well, then, Nalin, son of Bofroin. It looks like there is only one thing for me left to do“, Thorin convincingly growled, raising his hand.
>Oh shit, he is going to kill me with one punch and then add my teeth to the rest of his collection from bad little boys<, Nalin thought, as he remembered a story his brother Fatin had told him once.
He fearfully closed his eyes, waiting for the punch to come and didn't even dare to breath.
But... seconds passed and... nothing happened.
When Nalin was sure he was still alive and not dead yet, he carefully opened his eyes again, only to see that Thorin had turned his back on him and was bending down.
The blonde child couldn't recognize what the king was doing and he dared to exchange a brief look with his friends, who seemed as clueless as himself.
All the other children and their parents were still silent, all eyes on the boys and Thorin, as they waited to see what would happen to the brat that was stupid enough to throw a snowball at the king.
Then, without a warning, Thorin turned around as quickly as only a experienced warrior could and there was no time for Nalin to react, as Thorin fastly placed one hand at the back of Nalin's head, while the other shot to his face and rubbed a bunch of snow right on it.
Needless to say, that Nalin surely hadn't been expecting that and couldn't move for a moment, because he was so surprised.
Thorin let go of a deep laughter, as he eyed the motionless frame of the boy in front of him. He then threw another snowball at Glori, who gasped when the snowball hit him on the chest.
„What happened? I thought you boys wanted a snowball fight, so come on, get on it!“, he challenged.
The king began to chuckle at the amazed faces and turned his attention to Dili, who was the first one to recover from his shock.
„Are you serious? We can throw snowballs at you? And you won't hang us on the ceiling by our feet for three days without water and food?“, the redhead asked and soon added „Your majesty.“
„I... what?“, Thorin stared perplex at the child in front of him. „Why would I do such a thing?“
Well, if that was so, the matter was settled for the boys. They didn't even make an effort to answer.
They straightway bend down, scratched some snow together and threw it at their king, while the hestitation from before was long forgotten.
As soon as Thorin got out of his amazement, he began to fire back, duck and dogde their attempts to hit him, laughing and having fun like a child throughout the whole time.
Soon, other kids joined too and then it stood about twenty against one, with Dwalin refusing to help his friend out.
So, this is the story about how Thorin, son of Thrain, son of Thror got involved in a snowball fight with a bunch of little brats, having the time of his life.

Troll-hole adventures (Thorin x Reader)
Requested by Anon: “Hello! What about number 13 with Thorin or Fili ? :).”
Number 13 = “Looks like we’re gonna be stuck here for a while.”
Thank you very much for the request, anon and I’m sorry that it took me a few days to write it! But I had to change a lot to improve it and I still don’t like it very much... I bet y’all would have prefered if I had done something like them being locked up in a room by Kili or something, but I wanted to try something new, and well... let’s just hope you’ll enjoy it :)
I chose Thorin, because I did Fili not long ago, I hope that’s okay xx .
Word count: 3216
Warnings: Fluff and let’s just pretend that you and Thorin never feel the urge to go to the toilet and you aren’t that hungry while being locked in there
~*~
The only thing there was smelling worse than trolls, was a troll-hole. Yesterday, you, Gandalf and the rest of the company of Thorin Oakenshield had barely managed to safe yourself from being eaten by a bunch of dumb trolls and today you had discovered their cave.
Everbody else was out again, for that they couldn't bare the disgusting smell any longer, but you were still in it, trying to find a sword as good as Thorin's or Gandalf's.
Your parents had never been rich and the sword you were owning right now was old and rusty and barely able to slice anything.
You never confessed that to the others, but you really had to procure yourself a new one sooner or later, so why not try your luck in here, you thought.
Outside, where the others were resting, they met Radagast and while him and Gandalf were talking about something the dwarfs didn't really understand, Thorin counted the number of the present dwarfs, just for the routine and noticed then, that you were in fact missing.
„Oi,“ he shouted, „has anyone seen (Y/N)?“
A few dwarfs shook their heads, some of them murmured a no, making Bilbo the only one who had the slightest bit of a clue.
„Last I've seen of her was in the troll cave, if my senses do not deceive me“, he let Thorin know, causing the king to nod at him.
„I guess she can stay there until we leave“, he said, not noticing how Fili and Kili grinned at each other.
„How come he does not ran back to the smelly hole just to make sure that there is no big bad troll, we might have overlooked, waiting for her?“, Fili whispered conspiratorial to Kili, causing his brother to snicker.
„Propably because when he finds her there all alone in the dark, he won't be able to restrain himself and jump right on her like a horny rabbit“, the younger dwarf answered and he and Fili were roaring with laughter due to idea of their uncle jumping on you with a hare tail and a harepow.
„What's so funny?“ Thorin demanded to know at the sight of his giggling family members, already suspecting that they were laughing at him.
„Nothing important, really“, Fili crowed, barely able to keep his laughter in control.
„But tell us, uncle, are you hungry? I bet you'd like some carrots“, Kili cried, making him and Fili burst out in laughter again.
Thorin only shook his head, glaring at his nephews and leaving their weird insiders and secrets to themselves.
The one thing he had learned by watching them grow up was, that when it came to Fili and Kili, some things were better left unknown.
Then, without a warning, two orc wargs came rushing in, which the company managed to kill.
But everybody knew, where one warg was, a hundred more were sure to come.
The brown wizard luckily volunteered to lure them away from the companion, leaving only one problem.
„(Y/N) is still in the troll hole!“, Balin yelped, but Thorin was already on his way back to the cave.
„I'll get her, all of you go follow Gandalf, (Y/N) and I will follow as soon as possible“, he shouted in the run.
„Don't think that we'll leave our king behind!“, Dwalin roared expulsively.
„That wasn't a plea! Now get the hell out of here!“
With that Thorin disappeared behind a rock and was out of sight, while the others unwillingly started to run in the opposite direction with their minds still on you and Thorin.
Meanwhile you were still looking after a sword in the cave, not noticing anything that had happended outside of it.
You didn't have much luck in your search, though.
You had found a lot of things, some of them were so disgusting and couldn't be described with any words, so that the only way to forget them would be to pour acid in your brain.
There was no need to mention that you were fully concentrated on finding a sword, that's why you let out a tiny scream, as Thorin suddenly appeared behind you out of nowhere and urged you to get out of the cave.
„What's going on Thorin?“, you asked scared, as he grabbed your arm and practically dragged you with him. You had never seen him in such a hurry.
„We have no time. Orcs are coming“, he grunted and you immediately understood and followed him, not asking any other questions. You would've liked to know where the others were, but now wasn't the time to ask, you knew that. At first you had to get out of here.
As soon as Thorin, who still had a grip on your arm, took the first step outside, he suddenly let go of a curse and pulled back in, taking you with him. He ducked to hide behind a little wall of rocks and in the next second you were right beside him.
He lay one finger on his lips, symbolizing you to stay quiet and then pointed at the ceiling.
„Orcs“, he mouthed silently and you nodded to show him you understood.
How the hell could you have been so captivated and not notice the tumult that had been going on outside? One hell of a good companion you were.
Guilt started to creep up in you, but your mind went silent when you and Thorin heard heavy footsteps from above, that could only be coming from orcs and their wargs.
You prayed to every single Valar there was, that the orcs wouldn't notice the both of you and just leave, but instead, alarmizing noises were heard, coming from above and all over the cave.
This was the first bad sign.
The second bad sign were tiny little rocks, floating down the walls of the cave and partly right on both of you.
As you were still thinking about how this was not good, Thorin luckily reacted faster, dragging you as far back as possible until your backs were touching a wall and with every step you took, the smell got stronger.
The king then went to stay in front of you, shielding you with his body, while more and more rocks, growing bigger and bigger in their size, fell down.
If the situation hadn't been so infelicitious, you'd more than liked to intervene and kept him from threatening his life to safe you, especially since his life was much more precious than yours.
So the only opportunity you had was to wrap your arms around his upper body, trying to protect him with your arms as good as you could.
By the time everything stood still, you and Thorin were wrapped in complete darkness and no sunray reached their way through to you.
You were literally captured and walled in a stinky troll-hole.
Panic started to swell up in you as your breathing increased. How the hell would you get out of here?
Then, a deep and pleasant voice reached your ears „(Y/N)? Are you okay?“
Thorin. This was Thorins voice, you'd recognize it everywhere. You were not alone.
Your breathing slowed down again, as you prepared yourself to answer him.
„Y-Yes“, you said shakily, your arms still wrapped around his body.
You then remebered all the stones falling on him and although you had spared some from him with your arms, which had went numb in the process, you were still worried about him.
You started to panic:„What about you, are you hurt? Oh my god, you must be. I'm so sorry Thorin, that's all my fault, I'm such a burden I-“
„Shhh, (Y/N), I need you to calm down, nothing has happened to me“, the king interrupted, he then tried to reach your face, but he couldn't even see his own hand, so he nearly poked your eye before he eventually covered your cheeks with his hands.
„Calm down. Everything is alright. Don't worry, we'll get out of here“, he said those things over and over again, until the warmths of his fingers drew through your skin and your panic attack faded. As Thorin sensed that you calmed down, he let go of you, leaving your skin cold there where his hands once were.
„Okay, now sit down and stay there. I'll try to assess how far we can go“, he demanded but not in a harsh voice.
„Alright“, you just said, causing Thorin to pause in wonder, for that you actually never liked to obey his orders without questioning them at first.
But the thing was, you were fully aware that you had caused your king enough trouble and that you were responsible for all of this. So you didn't want to increase the difficulties, for you had done enough for at least ten years.
„Say something,“ Thorins voice then sounded a couple of metres in front of you, „I need your voice to orientate myself.“
He wanted you to talk? He was going to get that. This was the perfect opportunity to get some weight off your chest.
„I swear you, if I had known that there were any orcs nearby, I would never have stayed in this damn cave for this long. I just- well, I'm sorry and I know that I'll never be able to make it up to you for putting you in this situation and as soon as we'll get out, I'm going to leave the company to spare all of you such a big burden as myself. I shouldn't even have come with you at first, how could I have been thinking that I'd be of any use? I remember Erebor from when I was still young and I really wanted to be present when you claim it back, but anyhow, it was a stupid idea and -“
„That's enough“, Thorin's voice suddenly appeared right by your side, making you jump. You were so concentrated in your monologue that you hadn't even heard him.
Silence reigned in between you, as the Durin sat down beside you and leaned his head against the wall, but the stillness soon broke.
„There is nothing we can do, we are surrounded and captured by rocks and we can't risk to remove them from the inside, or else we'll get buried alive in here. We can only hope for the others to get us out of here as soon as they escape from the orcs.“
You had expected something like that, but still, hearing it was nevertheless shattering. You didn't care about yourself though, you mainly concerned about Thorin.
„I'm so-“, you tried to begin, but again were interrupted by the leader of the companion.
„Stop it, no more apologies“, he stated and you bit your lip and sighed. Not long after, the atmosphere went oppressive.
By Mahal, you hoped that the others would find you soon, but until then, you had to loosen up the situation somehow.
„Looks like we're gonna be stuck here for a while“, you tried to say as cool as you could and actually earned a light chuckle from the man beside you.
You gazed bewildered at him without really seeing any part of his body, not believing that this lame joke had actually made him laugh.
And as misplaced as it was, you soon joined in his laughter.
So there you were, captured in a smelly cave and laughing histerically. It was a rather sad scene, to be honest.
After a while, when your desire to laugh had passed long ago, Thorin broke the silence again.
„I didn't know you thought about yourself in this way“, he said quietly and you took your time to answer.
„Which way specifically?“
„The one where you think of yourself as a burden. Something tells me that you have a completely wrong idea of yourself.“
You let go a cheerless laughter: „Is that so? Then what is the right idea in your opinion?“
„For me, you are as worthy as every other dwarf in the company and I wouldn't exchange you or the others for anyone else, because y'all were by my side since the beginning.“
Although you couldn't see his face, what you heard in his voice sounded honest.
You smiled sadly and shook your head, not caring that he couldn't see it.
„When it comes to the others, I agree. But me, you should.“
„I am the leader of this company and trust me, I am able to decide who's a gain and who's not!“, he sounded upset and you didn't say anything, knowing that neither of you would give in.
Still, his trust in you left a warm feeling inside of you and suddenly, being captured in the cave didn't seem as miserable to you as before.
Not to misunderstand you, being stuck in complete darkness was still more than awful, but it diddn't happen to be as hopeless as you had thought before.
Again, you and Thorin lost yourself in your thoughts and you couldn't remember how much time had passed, until you came up with an idea.
„Do you know any game we could play to bridge some time?“
„A game? Excuse me, I'm not really in the mood for that. Rather try to fall asleep and if you wake up, maybe we'll gonna be out of here already.“
„I can't, it is too cold“, you couldn't help but to sound whiny, while a shiver made its way through your body.
By now, it had to be late evening already and in this season of the year, it could get really cold in the nights, especially without a blanket and being surrounded by hard, cold stones and having left your coat outside the cave didn't make it better. As a matter of fact, you were freezing.
Out of nowwhere you sensed his hand clasping around your forearm, but without hurting you, as he felt your temperature.
„You're ice cold! Why didn't you tell me earlier? And where is your coat?“, you heard a rushle as he moved his hand from your forearm.
„Come here, I'll warm you up.“
You blushed at his words and somehow you knew, that he was helding an arm open. Mahal, was he serious?
As he sensed your hestitation, the king let go of a sigh. „I'd offer you my coat, but body heat is the best and fastest way to warm you up. I won't take advantage or... touch you inappropriately, if this is what you fear.“
Of course this wasn't your fear, you knew Thorin too well for that, but still... for you, the situation would be really intimate and meaningful. You weren't sure if he felt the same way about this.
You hesitated only a few moments longer, until the cold was too unbearable to ignore and you carefully strechted your arms out, getting a hold of his hand, that was so large in comparison to yours, while he slowly led you to his chest, wrapping you in his coat.
The first thing you felt was his warmth and you instinctively snuggled closer to him, trying to get as much of it as you could.
As soon as you realized that you were almost laying on top of him and he had his arms around you in order to keep the coat at its place, you were embarrassed and to tensed up, but when he started to hum and the feeling of his warmth took over, you began to relax more and more.
By the end, you were even sighing happily without noticing it, because you felt so comfortable. Only as you felt his chest vibrating out of his chuckling, you abruptly stopped.
„Do you feel better?“, he asked, amusement swaying in his voice.
„I think you already know the answer“, you said smiling sheepishly.
„Fine, then try to fall asleep.“
You only hummed in response, closing your eyes as you held on him tighter, instictively burying your head in his neck.
Thorin began to sing to you, it was an old song they taught every dwarf when they were kids and the feeling of home, that you then sensed, comforted you even more.
His deep, pleasant baritone made your eyelids heavier and heavier, so that you then, eventually, fell asleep.
While you were drifting into sleep, it came to you as if sometimes, you could feel the pressure of a soft pair of lips on top of your head, kissing you lightly, but you were already too far gone in the land of your dreams to be completely sure about it.
As you woke up again, not knowing how much time had passed, you needed a bit time to remember the situation you were in and you threatened to panic again at first, because of the complete darkness that surrounded you.
However, the noise of light snores coming from underneath you reminded you of the presence of Thorin and you recognized his scent again, that was so much purer than the smell of the cave.
His cheek was pressed on top of your head and his arms were still holding on you tightly, so you didn't move in order to not disturb his sleep, as you smiled to yourself.
If you had knewn that staying in that troll-hole and being captured in itwould bring you this close to him, you'd maybe even done it purposely.
So the time in the cave passed, either of you constantly moving around a bit, but never really letting go of each other.
Some parts of you were always touching, be it holding each others hand, or you putting your head on his shoulder or him laying his head in your lap as you gently stroke his hair.
This was also the situation the others found you in, as they piece by piece removed one rock after another.
Thorin and you didn't bother to change the posture you were in and as you were free, you had a hard time getting used to the sunlight again. They later told you, that you had been locked up for not more than a day.
As soon as the dwarfs made sure that the both of you were healthy and strengthened again with water and food, most of them didn't mention the fact that the relationship between you and Thorin had grown much closer than before, always exchanging glances and smiling at each other.
After all, it was impossible to go through something like that together and not form a connection to each other.
But Fili and Kili wouldn't be themselves, if they wouldn't tease you at least a bit.
„So, tell us (Y/N),“ Kili then said with a mischivous grin, while Fili slung his arm around your shoulder,
„is the jumping style from our uncle more the one of an hare or a rabbit?“
„What the hell are you talking... or wait, I don't think I wanna know.“
With that you stood up and made your way over to Thorin, leaving Fili and Kili to laugh on their own

The art of flirting (Legolas x Reader)
This shot is based on this imagine by @imaginexhobbit:
>>Imagine Legolas trying to flirt with you, but not actually understanding the correct way to flirt, so it’s just an awkward mess and Aragorn has to intervene and tell you what Legolas is trying to say<<
This sounded really cute, so I gave it a shot, I hope y’all enjoy it xx. I had a lot of fun writing it, at any rate.
Word count: 1658
Warnings: again a lot of fluff and a pretty OOC Legolas. I guess it was unavoidable, but I gave my best.
Tomorrow I’ll work on anon’s request *excited* you others: feel free to send me some too! (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ
~*~
It hadn't been long since you, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli and Gandalf had arrived in Rohan, just to find King Théoden under a powerful spell of Saruman.
The evil wizard had bewitched his mind and had brought Théoden so far, that the poor man had not even been able to built an opinion on his own.
Luckily, Gandalf had managed to break the spell and free Théoden from Saruman's influence, for that the King now had gained his mind back and could proplery grieve about the death of his son.
As a sign of his gratitude, Théoden had ordered a bankett for the five of you for tonight and right now, you were getting ready for it.
Éowyn had even borrowed you one of her beautiful (F/C) dresses, which suited you perfectly and made you look satisfied with yourself at your reflection in the mirror.
You also tried to braid some strands of your long (H/C) hair in an elvish kind of way, just because you liked it, even if this was at least what you tried to convince yourself of.
If you were complete honest, you only did it to impress Legolas.
You had found yourself staring at him dreamily more frequently and let's face it, the Elven prince was one hell of an eye candy with his slim but also muscular figure, silky hair and striking blue eyes. Even the way he was kicking ass was full of grace and if it were up to you, you could watch him doing that all day.
So you gave your best with the braids and when you eventually found that you couldn't do any better, you decided then that it was finally time for the bankett.
It looked like you were the last one of your friends, who had appeared to the feast and as you went to sit on the same table as them, they all gave you a friendly smile, well, except for Legolas.
The elf was grinning at you huge and brightly, so that if you’d wanted, you could've counted every single one of his 32 pearl white teeth.
But instead you smiled back cautiously, because even though you bet he meant it friendly, it nevertheless did look a bit like a scary grimace and he only stopped, when Aragorn nudged him with his elbow and hissed something, that didn't reach your ears.
Legolas so-called smile then immediately dropped and he gave Aragorn an answer, starting a conversation, so that you sat down beside of Gandalf without any other occasion. At least not yet.
The meal began and the wizard had just finished telling you a story about a brave hobbit, who had once faced a dragon only on hisself and survived it – in fact this hobbit was a relative of Frodo – as Legolas clearing his throat brought your attention back to the blonde elf.
You found him looking at you with a weird expression, his eyes were slightly narrowed and only one of his mouth angles was turned up into a smile, giving him a strange mischivous look, that you were not used from him.
„Um, is there something you wanted to say, Legolas...?“
„Your beauty is beyond words, (Y/N), if your mother would see you tonight, she'd be the proudest woman alive for that she gave birth to such loveliness.“
You choked on the water that you were trying to drink right before he talked, as your cheeks went bright red.
You could've sworn, that you'd heard Aragron groan after Legolas said those words and Gandalf beside you tried to cover his amusement with coughs, while Gimli started to giggle.
What was going on with the prince? Was he making fun of you? You hoped not.
„Your hair looks as soft as the fur of the white Mearas horses and if any artist of this earth would catch a sight of your fineness, they'd fight against each other and wouldn't ever leave you alone for that they could draw your angelic features until eternity.“
Gimli's laughter was now resounded in the whole hall you and the other guests were dining in and you couldn't help but blush more and more with every word Legolas said.
He was looking at you with that weird grin throughout the whole time and as he openend his mouth again, probably to go on with his embarrassing declarations to you, Aragorn quickly intervened and put a hand on his friend's shoulder.
„I think that's enough, that was not what I meant“, he murmured in Legolas' direction, leaving the elf looking at him questioningly and then turned to you, giving you an apologetic smile.
„I think what Legolas here was trying to say, is that you look beautiful tonight, (Y/N) and he wanted to ask you, if you would maybe spare a few minutes of your time after dinner for him, because he'd like to talk to you about something.“
You hestitated a bit, still not sure what was going on, but after you looked in Legolas' now again normal but a bit red face and unfathomable eyes, you couldn't – not that you wanted - resist and slightly nodded.
„Of course I would.“
Until the feast ended, you weren't really able to focus or concentrate on your food or anything besides what was possibly going to happen after you'd finish your meal.
You tried to catch Legolas' gaze a few times, but after Aragorn had silently explained to him, that what he had said to you was more awkward than engaging, he had avoided you with his eyes since then.
But as soon as you dropped your fork, being finished with your food, he looked right up to you through his long, dark lashes.
„Shall we?“, the blonde elf asked and stood up as you did the same. „Yes“, you said, whilst your heart was pounding loudly in your ears.
He led you outside to a lonely bench, not far away from the others, but nevertheless hidden from their gaze by trees and shrubs.
You sat down and he sat beside you, as you heard him drawing in his breath loudly.
„(Y/N)-“
„Legolas-“, you both said simultaneously and then stopped and smiled shyly at each other.
„You go first“, you told him chuckling, causing him to join your laughter nervously, before he locked your gaze with his and started to talk.
„About earlier,“ he began, „Aragorn had told me to compliment you to express my feelings for you, but, as you surely noticed, it didn't work out so well for me.“
You giggled a bit at his words and he offered you a weak smile, before he continued.
„So I think it would be best, if I'd just do it my way“, while he was talking, he took both of your hands in his, causing you to blush as you lost yourself in his gaze, that now turned soft as he noticed the color in your cheek and all you could see in his astonishing eyes, that were as blue and clear as a cloudless spring sky, were honesty and devotion.
„I love you, (Y/N) and there a more than a thousand ways of how I could circumscribe my feelings for you. For example there is this light, that always seems to surround you, which draws me to you like the sea to the moon. Or your determination to stand in for what is right to you, is something I learned to admire. Or how I had always thought that the sound of a violine was my favorite, but only because I hadn't heard the sound of your laugh since then“, he paused and you just stared at him in awe, not sure if your ears were deceiving you.
„There was a time in my life, (Y/N), where my being had no true purpose and I didn't have an aim that I could work or train for, but then you appeared,“ he cupped your cheek with one hand, „and I suddenly started to curse myself for my urge to sleep, for that I didn't and still don't want to miss any possible second, that I could spend with you. I love you and I hope you feel the same way for me.“
You had listened to his words, that sounded like music to your ears, without interrupting him once and only as Legolas tenderly wished your tears away with his thumb, you noticed that you were crying.
„Don't cry, mela en' coiamin“, he whispered, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead.
You closed your eyes, then opened them as you took his hand from your cheek and kissed it, smiling at him through teary eyes.
„Don't you ever change yourself for me again, Legolas, because I love you just the way you are. Your words were more than I had ever dared myself to dream for and I'll try to prove myself worthy for them as long as you allow me to.“
The smile Legolas gave you after your words wasn't the one from earlier at the bankett, where he had tried too much and wasn't really meaning it. This one right now was filled with honest joy and lit up every corner of your heart.
He moved forward, cupped your face and kissed you passionately, carrying you away with his pure happiness and love.
His soft mouth caressed yours, his tongue slightly licking along your bottom lip, making you allowing him entrance into your mouth.
As your lips parted, he brought his forehead to yours, both of you still panting for breath.
„That means you'll have to stay by my side until the very end“, he stated.
„There is no way I'd rather spend my life until then“, you smiled, diving in to press your lips on his once more.

Earth’s safest place (Fili x Reader)
hey guys, this story is based on this imagine from @imaginexhobbit:
>>Imagine asking to share a room with Fili because even though you had no problems with the Mirkwood spiders, house spiders freak you out and there is one in your room <<

~*~
Its been a few days, since you and the companion of thirteen dwarfs had claimed Erebor back.
Smaug was defeated by a human from Lake Town and everything should be just peachy, shouldn't it? But instead of celebrating your win, Thorin made everyone search for the arkenstone, while hardly granting any breaks.
So here you were, in the halls along with the others except for Thorin and looking for the precious jewel. As though you didn't like to admit it, your king seemed to be infected with the dragon sickness and everyone knew it.
You exchanged a quick compassionate glance with Fili, before you kept on with your search. It seemed hopeless, though. You had combed through every corner of the mountain, but hadn't found any sign of the arkenstone.
Your sympathy was with the poor lad, who had to deliver the failure of your seek to Thorin once again.
~* A couple of hours later *~
Although you wouldn't tell anybody, the continuously search really tired you out, so you were more than glad to finally get to your chambers that night and catch some sleep.
You had just changed into your night gown and went to turn out the lights, as you noticed a big black spider with long hairy legs hanging just above your bed.
Your breathing immediately went faster and you tried to stop yourself from panicking, although you couldn't keep in a high pitched squeal.
As stupid as it sounded, not so long ago you had been faced with giant spiders, that were more than ten times fatter than this in comparison tiny creature at your ceiling and you hadn't had any problems with them.
Probably because you hadn't been able to allow yourself any fears at that moment, for that your life was in danger and you had been surrounded by the people you trusted most, but still, your scare was quite embarrassing.
You couldn't overcome yourself to get near to the thing and kill it and you'd rather die than being unprotected whilst sleeping with this wretch being in a room with you.
You chewed on your lip, as your gaze was hefted on the spider and tried to think about a solution.
Clearly, you couldn't stay in this room tonight, but where else could you sleep?
The first person that came in your mind was Fili. You knew him since you were little, but because of him being a prince, he had always been playing in a different league and had had other surroundings than you.
But throughout the journey, the two of you had gotten closer and closer and you had become friends. Same thing with Kili, but the difference was, that you had started to grow a huge crush on the blonde prince, while your love to Kili was only of friendly nature, just like to every other dwarf of the company plus Bilbo.
Fili wasn't only the man you loved, but he was also the one you felt most comfortable with and trusted most, so you didn't torch any longer and left your room in only your nightgown and slippers. You had quickly learned the paths and trails of Erebor, so it wasn't a problem for you to find the way to Fili's chamber, which was only in the next floor and right next to Kili's.
As you stood in front of his door, you took a few deep breaths before you found the courage to knock on his door, hoping he'd still be awake.
At first it remained silent, but not long after the deep and rich tone of Filis voice reached your ears.
„Not again, Kee. I'm trying to sleep, y'know?“, he sounded annoyed and a smile crept up your face, as you imagined how many nights Kili had visited his eldely brother and held him back from sleep with any unnecessary issues.
„Um,“ you said still a bit unsure, „actually it's me, (Y/N).“
For a moment everything was still, then you heard some rushling and quick footsteps, as Fili jerked the door open, only in this trousers and looked your body up and down, searching for any wounds.
„(Y/N)? Has something happened to you?“, he asked concerned.
You needed a moment to move your gaze from his muscular chest to his eyes, as you sheepishly scratched the back of your head.
„Well, no, but can I please come in?“
Only now he seemed to recognize that you were only in your nightgown, which merely reached the top of your thighs, while he was standing there with his bare upper body.
A light blush appeared on his cheeks as he quickly glanced away from your body and took a step back to invite you in. There were a lot of clothes distributed on the ground, thrown around carelessly, as it seemed.
„Of course you can come in, but, uh, it is a bit messy so I hope you don't mind“, he seemed embarrassed about that fact but you only gave him a reassuringly smile, showing him that you didn't mind at all, while you actually found it really cute, that he was suddenly acting so shy around you.
As Fili closed the door behind you, his cheeks were still flushed as he concentrated only on your face.
„Is there something bothering you, for that you came to me at this time of the night? Not that this is a bad thing or that I don't want you here, because I certainly do and... I better shut my mouth now and let you talk“, he said, as you giggled about his awkwardness.
It was the first time, that he was acting around you this way. Normally he was always that self-confident, protective dork you learned to love.
„I'm here because there is a spider in my room and I can't stand the thought of sleeping there tonight and..., you were the first person that came in my mind that I could ask, if...“, you stated nervously, while your fingers nestled with your nightgown and not knowing how to go on.
Suddenly your chin was lifted up lightly, so that your (E/C) eyes immediately looked in his bright blue ones, that he had inherited from Thorin. The softness and understanding you then found in his eyes made your heart flutter.
„Do you want to stay here tonight?“, he asked kindly, not laughing a bit about your fear.
You nodded and a smile started to creep up his face, slowly letting go of your chin.
„You can have the bed, I like the floor better anyhow. The bed is too soft, you know“, he winked, trying to loosen up the situation, as he moved to pull out another blanket out of his closed.
Inwardly you nearly fainted because of how sweet he was, for that you at first had been sure about that he would make fun out of you, just how Kili surely would have.
You put a hand on his elbow, not without adoring how his skin felt under your palms, causing him to stop and look at you questioningly.
Your cheeks were now burning in a crimson red and you didn't notice, how Fili adored the color and thought about how much it suited you, as you tried to prepare yourself for what you were going to say next.
„I don't need that much space, actually, so... you can sleep on the bed too, if you want.“
By Mahal, you had actually said it. You didn't dare to look at his face, whilst waiting for an answer and it raged you even more, to hear a light chuckle coming from him not long after.
Finally, you had managed to make him laugh at you, you congrated yourself sarcastically.
You tried to cover your embarrassment with anger.
„What's so funny?“, you snapped. „You know what, I take it back. Go sleep on the ground, I don't care, or wait, even go to my room and sleep with the spider, if that's what you prefer. I hope it bites you in the a-“
You were interrupted by his hands, that cupped your cheeks and brought your face near to his, so that both of your foreheads were touching.
„I wasn't laughing at you, amrâlimê, I was laughing about your cuteness.“
Did he just say...?
„Amrâlimê?“, you whispered, not sure of what you heard. He drew his face away, just a couple of inches to be able to look into your eyes, while he slung his arms around your waist, bringing you closer to him. Mahal, your heart seemed to jump out of your chest any second.
„Yes, (Y/N), I love you and I would love to share the bed with you tonight“, he said and as you looked in his eyes, you saw nothing else than his love and admire for you.
You were in shock, never would you have dared to even think about the prince returning your feelings, and now you couldn't really trust your ears.
„You really love me? You really do?“, you had to ask again, causing him to smile.
„Yes, I, Fili, love you, (Y/N). How could I not, when you are so brave in fighting for the ones you love, so passionate in everything you do, so kind and helpful to everyone who needs you and so beautiful, that the stars have no shine for me, even when I only think about you. I love you and I don't think I'll ever stop.“
Tears started to swell up in your eyes at his words, but you suppressed them, instead you put your hands on his broad chest, admiring the way his muscles felt under your fingers. You tried to put all your feelings in your eyes, as your gazes were locked.
„I love you too, Fili, with everything I have.“
The beauty of his huge grin after your words was indescribable and his eyes were on yours for a few moments longer, secret messages passing on in between you, that only you both could understand, as he leaned down and pressed his soft lips on yours, kissing you like you were the most fragile thing.
You soon intensified the kiss, opened your mouth slightly so that he could slip his tongue in it and explore the wet hole. (A/N: *wiggles with eyebrows*)
As the two of you were kissing, his arms wandered along your back and your sides, caressing your body through the fabric of your nightgown, until his hands came still on your bum, grabbing it tightly and causing you to squeek.
He smiled in the kiss in return and soon both of your lips came to an halt, panting because of the lack of air.
He pecked your lips once more, then pulled back and took your hand in his, taking you to his bed, as he lay down first and then held his arms open for you to join him.
You gave yourself a few moments to enjoy this sight, before you couldn't resist any longer and let him embrace you, whilst putting your head on his bare chest and him holding tightly on you with the arm that was slung around you, while his other hand was stroking your hair, touching your face.
Never in your dreams could you have imagined that one could feel so safe and comfortable like you did now in Filis arms, enjoying his presence and being surrounded by his pure and manly scent.
Forgotten were all your fears about any spiders, as he turned his head to blow out the candle that was standing on his nightstand. After that he gave your forehead a soft kiss.
„Sweet dreams, gimlelul.“
You smiled, snuggling closer to him and burying your head in his neck.
„Sweet dreams, urzudel.“

“Is there a reason you’re naked in my bed?”
“You’re a dork, just like your father.”
“Mind if I join you?”
“Daddy!”
“I lost our child.”
“That’s my shirt. So is that..wait?”
“My name isn’t Leslie…who’s Leslie?”
“There’s a surprise upstairs for you.”
“I’ll take care of it.”
“I’m not your boss? Well then who is?”
“You can’t eat solids, only liquids until Thursday.”
“Come on, baby, up to bed.”
“They got you a present. Isn’t it sweet?”
“Am I scaring you?”
“Run! You said you’d work out with me!”
“After everything…I’d still choose you.”
“And when did you plan on telling me about this?”
“Trust me.”
“Scoot over a little bit, please.”
“You’re so clingy, I love it.”
“You didn’t just wake me up at 2am because you were ‘in the mood’.”
“Did they hurt you?”
“You’re cute when you’re all worried.”
“Stop being grumpy. It’s lame.”
“I don’t need a hero, I need a husband.”
“Don’t shut me out.”
“You got a cute butt.”

“Sharing is caring. Now give me your fries.”
“…or we can chill in our underwear.”
“You can’t make up for it by giving me a tic-tac.”
“Keep pedaling and don’t stop, okay?”
“You, me, popcorn, two liter Dr. Pepper, and a movie. You in?”
“Have you seen my contacts?”
“Life is a highway, and I’m always drunk. So I’m not driving.”
“Quit stalling. Where’s your father?”
“You can’t just hug me and think everything’s okay.”
“Is he coming home?”
“I prefer blondes.”
“No more dogs. How hard it it to understand?”
“I let you win.”
“I broke your nose, and I’m sorry for that. But what you’re doing isn’t fair.”
“Can I do your hair?”
“Your favorite superhero can’t be a villain.”
“I told you not to jump on the bed!”
“He’s pampering me, let him be.”
“Ready or not, here I come.”
“I’m worried about losing my job!”
“Oh, did I scare you, big boy?”
“Happy new year!”
“Quit moving, I’m trying to sleep. Wait…are you…what?!”
“You nap, I’ll stay awake.”
“It’s turbulence. It’s normal.”
“Don’t touch me. We’re fighting.”
“I’ll give you a massage.”
“You fell asleep in the tub?!”
“Are you doodling?”
“We’re not playing strip poker. I don’t care what I said when I was drunk.”
“Slushies aren’t just for kids, fuck society.”
“Are you scared…Then why won’t you look at the screen?”
“Enough with the pillow talk, I’m tired.”
“You had a nightmare, tell me what it was about so I can fix it.”
“We need groceries, not just junk food. You’re worse than the kids.”
“Is this our closet? Or your closet?”
“If I win, you do dishes for a week.”
“Fist bumps are cooler than high-fives…”
“Use your words.”
“Hold my hand so he gets jealous.”
“Ew, your hand is sweaty.”
“Get out of my face before I hit you.”
“I don’t care if your 4 or 40, you don’t hit people.”
“You only care about football, beer, and raking leaves.”
“Look! Fireflies!”
“Why do you only kiss me when I’m sleeping?”
“I just need ten minutes.”
