Cashier: Will that be all?
ESFP: Yes, thank you.
Cashier: We are fundraising for disadvantaged children overseas, would you like to donate to our cause by making a purchase from our charity collection?
ESFP: Uhhh...
ESFP: *looks at INTJ pleadingly*
ESFP: INTJ, should I-
INTJ: No we're all good!

Post Party Depression?
A question for all the INTJs out there and other MBTI types who might share this experience. Does anyone else ever go out, have a good time, get jiggy with it, only to return home and be overcome with a wave of emptiness and depression? The night was good, you haven't drunk anything, and there are no negative repercussions of the party but you are suddenly so very sad. It gets weirder because I usually love my own company, and am not easily saddened by such things. It is quite a phenomenon for me and makes me ask myself every time I go out partying why I even bother. P.S. This doesn't usually happen with get togethers or hanging out with friends, only after large events or crazy parties involving loud music, dancing, etc. Could this be a side effect of inferior Se overload??

INTJ: I was out shopping the other day and I saw a really nice hat.
ISFJ: Oh, that's nice.
INTJ: Yeah but I couldn't get it.
ISFJ: Why not?
INTJ: It said "Today's outfit" which I thought was funny, but there was no apostrophe. It just said "Todays outfit"!
ISFJ: *chuckles* Oh no.
INTJ: I know! I really liked it but it was grammatically incorrect which was unforgivable!

Friend: Why are you so tired? I thought you were going to work on getting more sleep.
INTJ: I was but last night I was on Tumblr and there was no love for my favourite character, so I had to go and photoshop flower crowns onto a bunch of their photos because the fandom wasn't pulling their weight.

I would be livid
Professor: Today, we will be taking a personality assessment called the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
Me: Do we have to take it if we already know our type?
Professor: Yes, because there might be something you don’t know. Maybe you had your type wrong.
Me: Is the exam based off the cognitive functions?
Professor: Maybe, we’re using a dandy little quiz from a website called 16 Personalities.
Me: *internally screaming*

INTJ problem #44
My friends often ask me for advice and tell me their myriad of problems, but I honestly have very little experience with most of them. I try to help where I can, but I feel obligated to remind them I am uneducated, inexperienced, and unqualified.

I've never related so hard in my life
INTJ 1: I'm torn, I think I should breakup with him but I'd have to restructure my whole schedule!
INTJ 2: How long have you been together?
INTJ 1: Almost 3 years.
INTJ 2: Wow, that's a lot of restructuring.
INTJ 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednes- he affects every day!
INTJ 2: Yeah you'd have to reorganize all your socialising time and divide it up between your friends.
INTJ 1: I know! And I don't want to have to spend so much time with other people. I wanted to spend my time with him!

You might be a NTJ if ...
NTJ refers to ENTJs and INTJs.
You do a cost-benefit analysis on nearly every aspect of your life
You admire people who check you, challenge you, and call you on your shit
You often feel you should have your boss’ or coworker’s job and salary because you’re smarter and more competent
People view you as an overachiever, but you see yourself as an underachiever with still so much more to do
Your introverted friends have summoned you for assistance as their representative, lawyer, or gladiator
You know an idea is stupid and won’t work before everyone else and you’re waiting for them to catch up and realize this too
You have high expectations of other people and often want more for their lives than they want for themselves
You spend half a debate/discussion/conversation conveying your ideas and the other half convincing the other person you weren’t angry this entire time
Small talk is excruciating
The gifts you love the most are the ones you can really use

INTJ1: *gives INTJ2 an amazing birthday present*
INTJ2: It's perfect, I love it!
INTJ2: *forgets it was INTJ1 who gave her the gift and mistakenly praises INTP to everyone for giving her the great gift*

ESFP: INTJ1 gave you that present.
INTJ2: Wha- no she didn't
ESFP: Yes she did!
INTJ2: No she didn't- OH MY GOODNESS SHE DID!
ESFP: I know!
INTJ2: That means that dream I had the day after my birthday that I kissed INTP was meant for INTJ1!
INTJ2: *looks at INTP* you stole INTJ1's dream kiss from me!

First of all, I'm also a 17 year old asexual INTJ, so that's pretty neat. But anyway, all of my friends are INFPs. And I mean all of them – I made them all take the test and they all got INFP. Is there any particular reason an INTJ and an INFP would click? (I'm just, like, really weirded out that all my friends have the same type.)
Hello fellow teen INTJ ace :)
This exact circumstance happened to an INTP friend of mine. After typing her group she was shocked to find the vast majority of them wereINFPs despite the statistical unlikeliness.
For many people who run in largely introverted and intuitivecircles they may be surprised at the surplus of rare types round them, especially for females where these types are especially rare. In my ownfriendship group there are two female INTPs and three female INTJs which seemsabsurd! It can only be deduced that types of these natures naturally attractand clump together.
I personally know only two INFPs closely, one an adult male, the other a late teen female. Both are clearly very deeply emotional, extremelykind, love to be included though often quiet, and complex individuals. Iappreciate both of them for their intelligence, passion, genuine nature, andmutual appreciation for dark humour and watching old movies and anime.
Every individual person is different but generally speaking,INFPs seem attracted to INTJs for a few obvious traits.
INFPs are never tolerant of shallow people, and especiallyliars, and appreciate INTJ’s in their blunt honesty even if it can be harsh attimes.
INFPs Sometimes feel lost when it comes to putting theirfeelings into succinct wording (that Ne shining through) so INTJ insight is appreciatedbetween close friends. On the other hand, an INFP with a good understanding oftheir emotional state, needs, and limitations may enjoy discussing such topicswith INTJs who also like analysing such traits in great detail (at least I do).
INFPs seem to like INTJs for the calm and cool confidencethey radiate. The INTJ’s ability to make big decisions efficiently, not aseasily be off put by the worry of judgement, and internal sureness of our ownactions and identity can be quite attractive.
I think INFPs like INTJs for how they behave in some wayssimilarly to INFPs but also differently. We share a dark sense of humour(stereotypically speaking), deep interpretations of emotion, and contemplativenature but we are distinct in our harsh realist outlook on life, trust in humanityto act in its own interest, decisive nature, ability to be detach ourselvesfrom emotionally damaging scenarios, and obsession with being right.
I also think that secretly INFPs love being able to getclose to INTJs and breaking down our walls. It takes a lot of time and effortto earn the trust, true respect and affection of an INTJ and I believe INFPsfeel special being one of the few to be close to us.
There is a desirable balance formed in INTJ INFP friendshipsand relationships. Any one trait in excess is not sustainable so it is nicewhen friends can bring different perspectives and attitudes to therelationship. The INFP’s trust in the world balances the INTJ’s cynicismnicely, yet the INTJ’s realism protects the INFP from quixotic ideas andplacing trust in those who do not deserve it. INFPs are good for helping INTJsbe more in touch with their own emotions and questioning aspects of themselves theyhad not yet considered while INTJs help INFPs make hard decisions by puttingemotions aside in preference for what is objectively the best outcome. INFPsand INTJs both naturally give different observations about the same concepts orincidences giving both a deeper understanding.

INTJ: So, before you all left the party I had had two ciders, which is 2.4 standard drinks all together, although that was over a four hour period and would have partially worn off. After you left I started drinking Malibu rum, which began after 12am, and I failed to get drunk!
ESFP: ...
INTJ: I clearly underestimated my tolerance level, and next time we drink we must be must more efficient! I had 5 shots of Malibu but I stopped there because I was mixing them in lemonade and all the carbonated beverage was starting to make me feel sick because I ate all the leftover Thai food after you had gone home.
