Haru wonders where precisely Sousuke came from. Another planet? Maybe that strange little town, Iwatobi, that Makoto told him about once while trying to distract himself from a predictable horror movie they’d watched. Haru definitely remembers talk of mer-people and human-sized penguins. It’s entirely possible Makoto mentioned something about shoeless cryptids.

“I wasn’t planning to go far.” The grin broadens again, self-confident and serene. “You busy later?”
