J.I.D. - THE NEVER STORY

J.I.D. first major drop is pretty sick. Word play on that upper upper and the beats is lit too. JID is signed to Dreamville Records (J Coles shit). The Never Story is a strong listing for that labs with a couple of real nice stand out tracks. NEVER is really good. Also the album has such a nice run with EdEddNEddie, D/Vision, Heriditary (awesome track w RNB vibes), and All Bad (feat Mereba) are all a good run of tracks which is nice for an album you can just leave the fuck on. The lines are frequently striking on the whole piece. And a feature from 6BLACK.

KENDRICK LAMAR - DAMN 2 years since TO PIMP... dropped. Been listening to this shit chilled on reviews LUST is lyrically incredible.the vibe is lazy laid back and chill. DNA is so impressive lyrically and the video is also of note. Don Cheadle is possessed by Kendrick and raps (https://youtu.be/NLZRYQMLDW4 for the link). Element is one of the best tracks of the year so far make it look sexy. Let's talk a bit about the videos that have come out for Damn so far. First off of course was Humble directed by Dave Meyers and The Little Homeys. The video is big on religious imagery while staying pretty humorous about itself which is good in most rap videos. Kendrick is the best in the game right now with this drop. It's the realness of a true MC in a time when fakery is jeopardizing almost every facet of American life. He writes his own shit. He writes his own fucking shit and he means what he is talking about. He calls shots with this one. Best so far for the 2017. 9/10 - Jay

KENDRICK LAMAR - HUMBLE I honestly didn't like it at first but Kendrick brings the bars. It would appear that he ain't got time for backtracking. The new track beat is very fresh and the patterns are the best of 2017 imo. 9/10 - JAY
