So there is a theory that Irv is reintegrated and at first I didn't subscribe to that, but the more I think about episode four, the more it makes me wonder.

Namely when he is dragging Helena to the water and shouts, "She's an Eagan!"

How would an Innie make that leap? It makes sense that he figured out she was an outie and a spy, and therefore he might assume she is a higher up employee of Lumon.

But how and why would he assume she was an Eagan?

Unless he's getting back pieces of his memory. Outie Irving, who definitely is keeping tabs on Lumon, would know who Helena Eagan is. Hell, Outie Irving might even have seen the press conference where Helly reveals that the innies are being tortured. And then he would have seen the pathetic attempt at a cover up made by Helena.

Outie Irving would know Helena was an Eagan. Innie Irving would have no reason to have that knowledge.

This made me cry. My kitty passed last year and ooh, the grief still sneaks up and hits me. To Lyra and to Artemis, and to Artemis's brother Apollo who went first. Too all the kitties we've all loved and lost.

Lyra, my beloved cat of 13 years, passed away this year on Father's Day. She's been by my side through very difficult times and was my little rock of steady and unrelenting love. I struggled a lot drawing this, and struggled a lot posting it, but I know I would've wanted to read a comic like this that validated my grief for her when I lost her.

One of my favorite things about being a mom is that my daughter, just shy of ten months now, when faced with something that delights her, will always and without fail, look to me and smile. It doesn't matter how enamored she is with the subject of her joy, she turns to share it with me.

"Mom, are you seeing this marvel? Doesn't it make you happy too?" Her eyes say.

And it does. It's joy reinvented through her eyes. I rediscover the beauty of lights and falling snow and music.

I remember how easy awe can be, and how lovely it is to experience it in the mundane.

Thank you for this. My daughter just had her first Christmas and while she is too young to have any concept of Santa, it got me thinking about what to do when she does. I don't want Santa to be a "lie" or a realization that some day hurts her, even for a moment. I want her to get the joy, the magic, the feeling of shared wonder.
