tiny rant about terrifier
So as a horror fan I like to span out and try and watch everything I can. recently a few weeks ago I watched terrifier 2 (yes i skipped the first movie only because a friend was over and convinced us to watch this instead)
the movie is about a demonic clown named "Art" this guy
and I have some things to say... I am not a fan at all...
Could be me being consumed by nostalgia and not liking anything new or just being a hater idk but i do not like the movie(s).
Something about this clown going around mostly killing only women in the most horrific ways possible really urks me. it feels like try hard gore fest instead of actual horror itself.
the acting in this movie was not very good, i like bad acting in campy fun movies like "dead alive/brain dead" but that actually aids in the movie being better. meanwhile in terrifer it seems like the actresses arent that great. The actor for art the clown i will admit was a treat. He captured the mime aesethic and movements so perfectly it was a great job done.
I know in alot of old movies you have the final girl being tortured and what not but always surviving in the end and alot of men get killed as well, in terrifier it seems like he only goes after women and kills men when they're in the way, his main target is torturing women. i dont like movies that do that.
terrifier just seems like a very edgy, gorey, shock humor movie. which we honestly need to stop making these. (if you enjoy them then go ahead!) but they are not for me.
if anyone wants to critique anything i said or correct me on something i might have got wrong go ahead!
