 FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF HERBAL BASED EMULGEL FOR WOUND HEALING

Abstract : The present invention founds to be highly effective in wound healing when analyzed on diabetic rats.Apart from this the herbal extract also possesses anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties. The emulgel is prepared by using different concentration of Carbopol 940 i.e., 0.5g, 1g, 1.5g, and 2g. The herbal emulgel comprises sodium hydroxide, HMC, span 80 and tween 80, propylene glycol, ethanol and water. The emulgel then tested and evaluated on animals.In vitro release studies-Drug is released for 72 hrs when analyzed. 

Title of the invention : IN SITU FORMING CHITOSAN IMPLANT LOADED WITH ACTIVE PHARMACEUTICALS FOR TREATMENT OF WOUNDS                                                                     Abstract :The new invented drug solution also helps to combat oxidative stress related disease and osteoporosis in women. The invention also provides for the sustained drug release for 6 months and able to enhance bone regeneration after 6 weeks. The invention discloses a long term treatment and internal mechanical support during healing. The drug so formed is highly biocompatible and efficient. The prepared formulation is analyzed for in vitro gelation time, drug release, injectability, rheological properties, erosion rate and morphological properties.
