I am Bilal Abed Rabou, and I stand before you as a survivor of five wars, an academic student at Al-Azhar University and a software developer from the besieged Gaza Strip. I witnessed the devastating effects of these conditions firsthand

We were a family, living in peace, love and warmth. But everything changed when conflict and despair swept through our lives. Living in Gaza means confronting ongoing conflict, struggling against poverty and the lack of basic necessities to live. Life is very difficult, and even the simplest tasks seem impossible. Yet, despite all the chaos and pain, we remained grounded by the warmth of our love and the strength of our spirits.

Even six months ago, everything changed. Our once home turned into a mess and everything we cherished. Since then, we have been lost, clinging to a world of uncertainty and despair. We left our badly damaged home with only a few things. Since then, our lives have been threatened

with every passing minute.

But now, there is no longer a reason to stay in this place full of suffering, where we are deprived of even the most basic and important rights, education, security and peace.

Our hearts hurt because of all this injustice. We were willing to endure anything to keep our family together and provide comfort and care for our father in his time of need.

With each passing day, our despair grows and our burdens grow heavier. We need your help to break the cycle of suffering, rebuild our shattered dreams, pave the way to a better future, and reunite with our family. it really hurts me to see so many gazans asking us for help, though that's through no fault of their own. they've been forced to use a social media site that they're probably not familiar with (because tumblr has kind of faded out of popular consciousness), to interact with us in a second language, to distinguish themselves from the scammers who are taking advantage of genocide, and to ask strangers for help. i don't think there are any cultures where it's easy to ask for help like this, but i'm intimately familiar with how humiliating it can be in arab culture. please be kind, gracious and helpful to the gazans in your inbox. this is a desperate time for them, and in addition to the physical danger inflicted by "israel", the prices of basic resources in gaza are extremely high due to scarcity, and those that manage to escape to egypt are financially exploited by landlords there and have an extremely difficult time finding work due to their unofficial status as refugees. these families will continue to need our help and i hope we can all continue to provide it to the best of our ability.

I Samer Abu Ras, am reaching out to you with a heartfelt humanitarian appeal, after the ongoing war in Gaza has cast its dark shadow over my life and the lives of my family. Our lives were once filled with peace and stability before the onset of this catastrophe, but now, we find ourselves living in a situation described as nothing short of tragic.

My child, who is a year and a half old, is experiencing hardships far beyond his tender age. Since the war broke out, we had to flee our home and seek refuge in a tent in a displacement camp. My child lives in extremely difficult conditions, deprived of safety and stability. The tent does not provide adequate protection from harsh weather, and food and medicine are scarce. My child suffers from malnutrition and illness, lacking basic healthcare. He cannot play or grow in a healthy and suitable environment. My only dream is to see him grow up in a safe place full of opportunities

In the face of difficult circumstances, Samer Abu Ras and his family find themselves facing serious challenges in their daily lives. They reside in a modest tent lacking comfort and security, suffering from a shortage of clean water and food, and encountering difficulties in accessing necessary healthcare. Despite these challenges, they continue to express hope and resilience in confronting adversity, holding onto hope for a better tomorrow and a return to a more stable and secure life.

Hey guys, I was reached out to by my friend Siraj @siraj2024 to share his story and shed some light on his situation

Siraj used to live in Northern Gaza with his family of five, including his wife and three children. He had painstakingly built the family house over ten years, going into debt so that he could provide a beautiful home for his family. But when the occupational forces declared war on Gaza, the area where he had built this home was one of the first areas to get invaded and destroyed by the tanks and bomb shells.

This is the state of their family's beloved home now:

Since large portions of their home was destroyed and they were forced to flee from the violence, Siraj's family has been displaced six times in the months that followed.

Siraj has described to me that living out of these tents has been like living in a convection oven under the current heat wave, and full of disease ridden pests.

His children, who should have been in school and playing with other kids their age, instead have to worry about if they'll have enough water for the day and how they will carry it over long distances. They have to stand long queues just to fill their buckets and even then, the water is so polluted that they have to risk serious illnesses like hepatitis when they drink it anyway, for the sake of their survival.

They have lost an entire year, along with a lot of hopes and dreams, to this genocide that they will never get back.

The gravity of their situation cannot be understated. They do not have access to clean water. They do not have access to basic medical care and hygiene products.

There is no safe place left in Gaza. They are constantly living under the threat of violence from the IOF, illness and starvation.

The funds collected from this gfm will go into reconstruction of their home, as well as providing for the family's basic needs during this troubling time.
