hopelessly obsessed with tea. lives permanently in Middle Earth. occasionally travels to other alternate universes. surfaces in RL only because of Broadway. and telly. of course, telly. loves pretty things especially if they are male. has very very eclectic interests. If I had followed you and you're now here wondering why, it's probably because you are awesome and your art is beyond this world (soft spot for artists and musicians, very soft spot. That and my dash looks completely different from my blog.

According to my dash, the US seems to have regressed to the 1960s, early 1970s. :P

Made a mini pilgrimage through Oxford today, saw some of the Professor's manuscripts (along with CS Lewis, Alan Garner and Susan Cooper- therefore making my day, week, life), went down some Inklings' hangouts. Just standing here and saying a quiet 'Thank you' strikes one item off my bucket list.

Pope Francis rocked some religious and atheist minds today when he declared that everyone was redeemed through Jesus, including atheists.

May or may not be panicking over my 3-week trip through Central Europe. Krakow, Budapest (which I confess may be due to subliminal messaging in the Avengers fandom *winces* Never mind that my clearest association with the place is 'defenestration'), Vienna, Prague, Berlin. In that order. I have travelled alone before, but this would be the first in places I do not know at all. *twiddle thumbs* Without constant internet connection - I am crossing borders too often to have roaming 3/4G. Without my laptop - I need to travel light. It's the Internet cold turkey that has me panicking more than the solo travel bit. I am looking forward to solo travel. On a separate note, a friend just gaped when I said I refused to visit any Holocaust site. Humans have done many a horrid thing to one another (the Holocaust may not be the worst of it all), and some things I am contented with just knowing in theory.

When not all the books in the series are the same height.
When books change covers with editions so they don’t all match unless you buy the series in one go.
When some books are hardcover and some are softcover and it doesn’t match but you can’t find another copy.
When some covers are different in certain countries so you don’t get the main one which also happens to look better than all the other varieties.
Basically just books.
God damn them.
#word#I hate it when publishers decide to opt for an uglier cover midway in the series#and I am left with non-matching books#I hate it more when they publish them in different sizes - same everything#just the SIZE#Dude#do you not understand what that does to my OCD impulses?!

lorienscribe replied to your post: Dear deluded-ppl-denying-climate-change Why do I...
The past few days have been freezing here. And apparently tomorrow we need to use the air conditioner. Oh dear. :\
I share your pain. *cries*
Two days ago, I regretted not wearing shorts because it was too warm. Today, I regret putting my heater into storage last week.... and apparently in two days I'll be begging for an air conditioner. Why?!?!?!?!??!?!?

Photographer Jaime Moore from Austin, Texas, took photos of Emma emulating real women worth admiring: Amelia Earhart, Coco Chanel, Susan B Anthony, Helen Keller and Jane Goodall.
