the most common place to spot sakura would be at the mall, considering that she was so up to date on fashion & makeup when it came to inkling culture, it wasn’t unnatural for her to be scouring the clothing section for anything that caught her eye. it made much more sense than to spot her in turf or in any kind of ranked match, she had absolutely no talent when it came to holding a weapon – even working for grizz was too gross for her to consider; why would she need to make money working such a physical job when she was already making more than decent money for modeling clothing. it wasn’t as easy as it sounded, but sakura thought that it suited her far more than any other job possibly could. when she was looking through clothes, her mind was off somewhere else, not paying attention to those around her. she would often be recognized or stared at by inkling & octolings alike, but was too far off in her own thoughts to notice. shifting through a stack of clothes, she tried to find anything that suited her, but most of it was just articles she could see herself altering to make something better, which was not what she was shopping for exactly.
with a frustrated huff, she walked without looking where she was going right to the end of the isle, where she ended up colliding with someone else. there wasn’t a lot of force in the collision, but whoever she’d run into was so large that it hit her like a brick wall. falling back on her rear, she sat in shock for a moment, unable to comprehend what just happened. there was no way she just ran into another woman shopping for clothing! they were far too tall for that! rubbing her forehead where she smacked right into the other’s ribs, she still hadn’t brought herself to look up and see just who it was. she was half expecting it to be kuro — which would have only made her angry.
the voice that reached out to her was certainly not kuro – it was far too solemn, far too calm to be the angry black inkling. it wasn’t until he crouched down to her level that she caught a good glimpse of him. recoiling at first, she was offended to hear the way that he spoke. ‘sorry, man’ ?! she clearly was not a man! not only that, but he even poked fun at her for falling down?! what kind of person was he? the most shocking thing however, was when he pulled her up by her wrist, effortlessly moving her body. it scared her at first, wondering why he’d reached out and touched her in the first place – but it was obvious that he was just trying to help her up in his own strange, unsettling way.
she wasn’t so sure that she felt the need to introduce herself to the man after what had happened, normally she would have just given someone the cold shoulder and walked off with a huff; though, she would be lying if she said that his demeanor didn’t intrigue her. wiping the dust off of her skirt in a few curt movements, she shook her head to fix her hair. “i’m fine.” sakura said, her tone sounding haughty, only trying to hide the embarrassment for how blunt he was being. “i’m sakura …” she spoke, looking up to try and meet his gaze — but she found herself looking up & up for longer than she’d bargained for. this guy had to be taller than kuro himself! “just a little startled, but not hurt. um —” thinking about it for a moment, what was this guy even doing here?! “are you lost?” she found herself blurting out, unsure of what else he could possibly be doing.
Enyou didn’t mind what kind of job he was working; he wasn’t as ambitious as Midori, and neither was he as skilled as Shiro -- he couldn’t make a name for himself, therefore he was taking whatever he could grab onto. Going into league/rank was one of the more prestige things he could participate in -- Grizz co. paid a lot better, but the work was tough and demanding. Luckily, Mr. Grizz didn’t care about substance abuse and therefore he was never questioned for a job. In all actuality, he was definitely more useful when he drugged himself up beyond recognition ---- his twitchy and anxiety-riddled persona wasn’t the ideal thing to struggle with when being surrounded by slimy and grimy salmonids.
He had to admit that he wasn’t able to see that inkling girl in a Grizz co. outfit -- he definitely didn’t see her during one of his jobs, and neither was she familiar in a rank/league type of scenario. If anything, she looked like she could be straight out of a magazine! But he simply was unable to connect the dots just yet. People often times confused him for Kuro -- simply because of his height. While Kuro definitely was up there in the same league, Enyou lacked the muscles, whereas Kuro wasn’t looming on top of everyone else the same way the blue inkling did. If anything, his best friend lacked a few inches to meet him eye-to-eye. It wouldn’t have surprised him if that girl had yelled at him for thinking it was Kuro ---- wouldn’t be the first time he had such an encounter, and usually he shrugged it off with a laugh.
By no means did he want to sound disrespectful or demeaning of her; it was simply his way of speaking, no matter who he talked to. Not even Kin was spared by that kind of ‘disrespect’. Unsettling definitely was something a lot of inklings as well as octolings alike felt towards him ---- it came with his height as well as his rather deranged attitude that came with never ever being sober.
Her haughty and even arrogant mannerism didn’t bother him much; he had seen that kind of behaviour before, especially with Kin. On men, it could sometimes tick him off, but on women it was rather endearing, and he couldn’t deny that it was sparking some kind of competition-complex, wanting to get her attention despite clearly being out of her league, so to speak. Watching her correct her clothes, he gave her the same empty smile accompanied by lidded eyes. “Sakura, eh? What a cute name for a cute girl. Again, soooorry for running you over; I was with my head in the clouds, not gonna liiiiie... my baaaaad...” Nodding slowly when she explained herself, he waved her off in order to somehow calm her down as well as signalise that he wasn’t making a big deal out of the situation. “Didn’t mean to staaaartle you... I know my height scares people a lot... I can slouch more if that makes you less scared of me?” Even going as far as to go with his words, he slouched his shoulders some more than he already did and tended his head to the side in order to appear smaller in front of the fragile girl.
Upon her question, he opened his eyes slightly more, blinking a few times before he started to turn his head left and right to take in his surroundings, only to realise that he had ended up in the womens’ section of the store. Snorting then, he chuckled quietly, almost in an embarrassed manner. “Daaaaamn, I don’t even know how I ended up heeeeeere... ehehe... I’m suuuuuch an idiot...” Being demeaning of himself then, he smacked the back of his head with his palm for comedic relief, before he looked back down towards the girl in front of him. “I was kinda looking for a few new shirts but then I got lost in my thoughts agaaaaain...” Lifting his brows before he gestured towards her, “You look like you know a thing or two about faaaaaaashion... would you miiiind lecturing me on my faaaaashion choices?” hoping that she wouldn’t decline -- he couldn’t blame her if she was too terrified of someone as freakishly tall as him, but he didn’t have ill intentions and simply wanted her honest (and competent) feedback. “Pretty pleaaaaaaaaaase?!”

遺恨
@idollings (sora)
It irritated him -- the way that Sora was shrugging off things so easily, things that were eating away at Kiiro day by day. Things such as Sora’s flirty nature, how he’d be hitting up people while the yellow inkling was standing right next to him. It begged the question just what he was capable of doing when Kiiro hadn’t been around.
Seeing his boyfriend batting his eyes at another guy, talking with such a silky, alluring voice, dripping like honey from his lips, it angered him so much that he felt a sinking, yet boiling sensation in the pit of his stomach. Furrowing his brows more and more as he side-eyed his boyfriend as well as the stranger, he kept his mouth and nose covered with his surgical mask as well as his beanie low enough so that hardly anything of his face was visible except for his eyes -- golden hues that sure enough were radiating off nothing good, making him seem more menacing than ever.
And all of a sudden, it felt as if one straw had been breaking the camel’s back, without a verbal warning, no yelling, no cursing, no nothing, Kiiro pushed his arm between the counter of the bar and Sora, urging the smaller individual to back off just a little, reaching over to the stranger and grabbing him by his collar, roughly pulling him closer and probably causing for Sora to lose balance on his bar stool -- which wasn’t his intention, but in his rage he couldn’t act with much care.
Instead of punching the guy, he started slamming his face against the counter, spilling some blood -- which he hated to look at so much, it nauseated him each and every time -- but he was in such a feral mood that he couldn’t control himself. Pressing the man’s face into the counter as he scrambled to free himself, Kiiro leaned in and started mumbling quietly, with a deep voice. “Why don’t you mind your own business and carry your sorry ass somewhere else, huh? I’ll break you, I swear, I am going to break you, rip you apart.” Slamming his knee between the other’s legs, a low grunt could be heard -- the bartender already gesturing for Kiiro to get kicked out, but he didn’t care much. “When I find out where you live, you are history.”
Slightly intoxicated as he was, it wasn’t hard for some bulky isopod security guard to grab the lanky inkling by his arms and shoulders and urge him out of the establishment with ease. Kiiro landed onto the ground outside the building, groaning as he attempted catch his balance, but it was a little harder than he had anticipated -- perhaps he had one too many drinks, despite denying the fact. With his face against the ground, he laid there for a moment, not defeatedly as much as he was paralysed by his own jealousy and anger, and the frustration that led to this whole mess-up. He felt like the third wheel and didn’t mind to show how displeased he was -- but now that everything had been said and done, he wasn’t able to drag Sora along, he wasn’t even betting on it that the blue inkling was going to faithfully (like a little puppy dog) follow him outside and make sure he was okay. If anything, he considered getting up and going somewhere else, numbing himself with whatever he could and avoiding going home alone. It wouldn’t make much sense to him for Sora to look after some fool like him, right?

it was true that while he may have some nasty intentions with her, he wasn’t going to force them upon her if he ended up getting rejected for it. it would burn for a bit, but that feeling wasn’t anything that he couldn’t fix with a hook up with someone else. sora was just trying to use the excuse that it was valentine’s day for a convenient way to get her to come to his apartment alone.
“guess that’s pretty good for me, isn’t it?” he shot back in a sweet tone, giving her a flirtatious smile to match. he knew that she was just trying to make him back off a bit, but he was very used to being pushed away & ignored by people. if there was one thing that he excelled at, it was brushing off a burn and pretending like it didn’t even happen. “it would be a shame if you were to have other plans, maaan, i’m so lucky.”
stopping in his kitchen on their way through the door, he made sure to grab a glass of water for each of them. placing it down in front of her on the coffee table, he should have guessed that she would make a comment about how appropriate the show should be. “would you rather watch something romantic? i can’t say i’m a big fan.” he said, his voice still sweet. “no worries, you can choose. i know that my tastes aren’t for everyone.”
As naive as Midori was on a sexual/romantic level, she wasn’t a complete fool. In her mind, she could definitely see why he wanted her to come alone to his apartment -- but she didn’t see a problem with it. He wasn’t considered a danger in her eyes, after all she was a well-trained agent, and she knew her way around weapons, and how to defend herself. She wasn’t scared of being alone with the man, and honestly, it seemed like a nice change to not be alone on a holiday like today, even if it meant to be with someone like Sora. People were quick to diminish him for someone shallow -- which she could agree with most of the times. But she couldn’t help but look at him from different point of views and see the more vulnerable and perhaps even lonely sides of him. Something she could associate with.
His flirtatious nature never ceased to annoy her, but she simply rolled her eyes and ignored it. Midori wasn’t one to deny that he was charming in his own ways, but she wouldn’t let it woo her -- especially since she was aware of what his ultimate intention may be. “You make it sound like you didn’t have at least six plans, in case one or the other was not going to work out for you.” Letting him know that she was looking through his sweet words, Midori was aware that she had never been anyone’s number one choice -- especially since she wasn’t providing anything alluring or sexy with her lack of curves and her prude personality. In fact, it shocked her that he wasn’t going to kick her out just now and instead just go for an easy way to get what he wanted. Surely, he didn’t just want to watch movies with her -- she wasn’t that naive.
When he placed a glass of water in front of her on the coffee table, she second-guessed taking a sip from it, maybe even swatching their glasses in case he may have spiked hers, but then again, she didn’t want to seem too paranoid so instead she took the glass and sniffed at it for a moment in hopes that she’d smell if something was off, taking a cautious sip.
At the mention of a romantic movie, she choked on the water and coughed up a little bit, wiping her mouth against her sleeve as she stared at him sideways. “Romance? I don’t know about that.” She tossed right back at him, unsure what type of movie she’d want to watch, but at the mention of him letting her have the choice, she got nervous: she didn’t really know what they could watch, but she simply grabbed the remote in order to go through his Inkflix library and scroll through anything that may be of interest for both of them. “I am pretty sure your tastes may be shared with a lot more people than you think.”
Picking something at random she placed the remote between them, leaving it up to Sora if he wanted to pick something else, leaning back onto the couch as she blinked every now and then, visibly tired from her day at work. “Aren’t you one to eat snacks while watching a movie?” Truth be told, she was kind of hungry, but she wasn’t the type to address it, since she would be considered impolite. She’d love to have actual dinner, but if she could at least have a few chips or maybe popcorn, then she could at least make her stomach shut up for now.

it would be a lie to say that it didn’t scare the hell out of him when he was picked up so suddenly, not to mention the absolute calm nature that the other had about it, it made him feel more afraid about it all. considering that he was someone that was almost always treated with respect on first approach, it was so strange to see the other willingly pick him up like he were nothing – even compare his weight to that of a roller?!
kin nearly freaked out when the other nearly dropped him after he was struggling – honestly, he did want to be put down! but not in this way – not in a way that he would be flat on his ass. this time around, when he was nearly dropped, he gripped helplessly onto the taller in hopes that he wouldn’t fall. “w – who picks someone up like that?! be an asshole – wh - you already are!” the way that the taller was talking was only making him more nervous. kin was so used to being the stronger person, it shocked him to be picked up like nothing and talked down to.
Enyou -- while under the influence -- never considered himself scary, or frightening, if anything he wanted people to love being around him so he could drown out all the negative things inside his head with the positivity that others carried inside them. He was chummy and would always strike up a conversation, no matter how mind-numbing his stupidity could be (or at least that’s what most people thought of him if they didn’t care to look deeper), all he wanted was to be chirpy and positive. But a mask could only be as deep as it was, obviously, the moment someone scratched the surface, it was nothing but lies.
He couldn’t understand why someone like the royal inkling himself would be scared of him -- why? He had all the power he could want, so surely he would have his own means to get rid of someone like the blue inkling if shove came to push. In his own mind, there was nothing disrespectful of even harmful about his antics, he simply was playful and wanted to show some kind of affection in his odd and rather touchy-feely way. Neither was he being mean about comparing the emperor to the weight of a roller -- if anything, it should’ve been a compliment; frankly, he couldn’t see Kin use a roller, let alone a dynamo. That thing was reserved for tough guys like Kuro or Enyou himself. The sheer elegance that Kin had himself surrounded with was enough to make the taller feel like he needed to be protected, even if that may have been far off from the truth (especially with his psychotic tendencies) -- but misery likes to keep company, no?
Cackling underneath the mask, he nuzzled his mask/face against the other’s belly once he had him settled on his arms and lifted in a way that he could balance him a bit better. It amused him the way the other had spoken in such a haughty fashion, it didn’t bother him at all -- if anything, he found it alluring all as much as it was humouring him. “Sooooorry for being an asshole, then, your hiiiiiiiiiighness. Is it so wrooooong to carry another guy? Don’t you like to be carried arouuuuuuuuuund like a little princeeeeeeeeess? Eh? Hahahaaaaa...” Perhaps he wanted to mock him a little -- just a tiny, little bit -- but obviously it was a more playful nature than anything else. “You really look soooo cuuuuute when you get nervous!”

Enyou had been forced out of league for a while due to his substance abuse; obviously, Kuro was giving him an earful about it, since the black inkling had always been relying on the fellow roller-main to lay off the drugs when things had got more serious. For him, it was rather hard to lay off his habits each and every single time they were asked to participate in the next big thing -- especially since he disliked being faced with his own demons. Therefore, he wasn’t as busy as he’d usually be -- either it was him hanging out with Kuro to get wasted, or it was him hanging out with Kuro to team up for leagues. And now, well, since his best friend had been off to the challenge himself and hard-working to get towards his goal, Enyou was simply straying around anywhere he could go. Staying at home and getting high was one thing, but if it wasn’t with your best friend, or someone else who was willing (or not so willing) to participate, it became stale and boring quickly.
Roaming around the shops, for once he wasn’t wearing that fear-inducing mask of his -- so people weren’t avoiding him as much as they usually would -- but nonetheless, the moment they recognized him for that one ill-tempered flingza-main who would mow down anything in his way, they rather quickly decided to change paths. With his heads in the clouds like that he wasn’t paying much attention to where he was going, rather looking around mindlessly as he moved through the female aisle of the clothes section, he was only caught off-guard the moment someone or something had been colliding right against his chest, hardly knocking any air out of him but certainly catching his attention.
He must’ve walked around a corner all the while this girl -- as he finally had realised after looking down and staring at the floor on which she collapsed -- was looking through the clothes to find something to her liking. And that’s how he must’ve ran her over, or she must’ve bumped into him, but the details didn’t matter to him.
“Wooooah, there. Sorry, maaaan. Looks like I totally made you fall flat on your aaaaaaaaaaass, hehe...” Sluring in his usual tone, he crouched down to her level to look her over a little closer -- she definitely seemed familiar to him, but he couldn’t exactly pinpoint where. Was she a pin-up girl? In advertisement? Her face just rang some bell, but he couldn’t tell for sure. Grabbing her unasked by her wrist, he pulled her back up onto her feet as he stood up tall as well, only revealing how much of a tower of an inkling he had been next to a fraile and petite girl like her. “Name’s Enyou. Soooooooorry for not being attentive. Hope you didn’t get huuuuuuuurt...”

idollings:
for kuro, enjoying small things like watching movies & cuddling was strange still – he was so used to all of his relations being a one night stand deal, but he couldn’t say that he didn’t enjoy it. as much as he loved sex, he also loved to just relax with midori and feel her small body ( warmth and all ) pressed against him. he was younger than her by quite a bit, but when it came to experience he could boast that he was years ahead of her. he didn’t want to make it incredibly obvious that he was able to pick up on her scent & tell when she was in the mood, even when it was only in small amounts. most of the time he just took in the smell of her hormones and waited for her to make a move – then if that never came, he would wait till he would have been less noticeable that he was doing so because he knew she wanted it. kuro didn’t have any malicious intent behind hiding the fact that he was able to pick up on those cues, he simply didn’t want to make her embarrassed over it ( or worse, scare her away from getting too close to him ). they’d done so much together and yet she was still so embarrassed about … well, all of it around him. he knew that he couldn’t force her to lighten up, so he had no choice but to be patient and wait for the time to come.
he was fairly invested in the movie, but that didn’t stop him from noticing the particular scent coming off of his girlfriend. he was aware that she was not able to pick up on these things yet, but he certainly could. leaning his head on top of her’s, kuro inhaled the scent shamelessly ( and as discreetly as he possibly could ). he was unaware of the fact that she was waiting to see whether or not he could smell her hormones yet, so if she was paying attention to that … well, she probably would have been able to tell exactly what he was doing. tightening his grip around her waist, he pulled her in closer to see whether or not the scent would become stronger or not.
Considering his expertise, it shouldn’t surprise Midori that despite their age gap (and her being older than him), that Kuro still had an advantage when it came to picking up hormonal spikes and such. And as logical as it may seem, she simply wanted to brush it off as freak coincidences than anything scientific (or natural). If anything, she should’ve been happy that he was able to sniff out whether or not she wanted to get physical with him, due to her rather timid nature when it came to one-on-one encounters outside of Turf War or Rank. She may have been fearless and experiences with her go-to weapon, but aside from that, she couldn’t claim to be as experimental or daring. But thankfully, she had opened up to her boyfriend quite a bit, which gave Kuro the advantage of not being busted for his ‘talents’.
As he leaned his head on top of hers, it was pretty obvious how he sniffed her hair, as well as pulling her closer to his body, that she was trying to indulge in her scent as much as possible. Frankly, she thought it was adorable that he wasn’t instantly rushing into anything and simply enjoyed her hormonal cocktail that radiated off of her body. Kuro hadn’t ever taken advantage of her in a sexual manner, so that wasn’t why she had been expecting him to be all touchy-feely with her, however, on the other hand, everyone and their mother knew what kind of player Kuro used to be (and perhaps still is if it wasn’t for his loyalty towards Midori, obviously). Though, it didn’t stop her from becoming nervous as to what was going to happen; she was more so nervous about not knowing his next moves than thinking about them having sex; even if she wasn’t the most outgoing personality, these two had been dating for such a long time now that she had nothing to hide from him -- he had seen her naked multiple times and if he hadn’t liked what she had to offer then he wouldn’t be coming back for more.
Inevitably, her scent became stronger due to him keeping her close to his body, she decided to press her face against his neck for him to not see how flushed her cheeks had become, clinging a little tighter on a pillow she had on her lap, now pressed against her chest. Instead of saying anything to his actions, she started nuzzling her face against him lovingly, almost as if she started nudging him in order to do something.

idollings:
orenji was the type that didn’t care much about who she worked with. if she had to wait around in a lobby for people to join her, she didn’t care much! being a little too social for her own good, she just liked the rush of working with new people all of the time. though, if kiiro said that he wanted to tag along, she would absolutely never turn him down. she was by no means the highest rank, only somewhere in the middle, but she didn’t care much about that. she preferred to just have fun when it came to battling, therefore her rank fluctuated a lot. when she played alongside the yellow inkling, her rank went up drastically – but on her own, it was quite the opposite.
inside the lobby, she saw a man that resembled kuro … a little too much. but with that get - up, there was absolutely no way that it could be him. the outfit was just so not him. of course that would make orenji curious. while there was a lot of people waiting inside of the lobby, each & every one of them was sitting far, far away from that one inkling in particular. what really stuck out to her was the military style hat – it looked so cool! she really wanted to try it on for herself, so much that she had to go & up to him without even a little bit of fear and take the hat right off of his head. popping it onto her own head, she struck a pose with a silly grin on her face. “すごい!do i look as cool as you now?” the hat was a little bit big on her & didn’t quite sit right on her head, making it touch her ears and sit lower on her head than it did on him.
“aw come on~, what do you think? ten out of ten? a six?” she ignored the fact that he had just called her kiddo. it wasn’t as harsh & rude as how kuro called her shortie all of the time. plopping down on the bench right next to him, she looked at him with big eyes & asked. “are you here to play turf? we should totally play together! everyone bailed on me today, so now i’m all on my own.” the smaller said dramatically, a pout adorning her lips as she spoke.
While the orange inkling didn’t care too much for her rank it was all or nothing for the militant inkling; if he wasn’t able to keep his X rank for whatever reason, then he was doing anything to get back to where he was -- with nothing but hard work and diligence. To him, there was no point in having fun if the results weren’t speaking for themselves ---- if he wasn’t able to achieve anything with his work, then what’s the point? He wouldn’t go to turf just to have a ‘good time’ -- if anything, he’d use that in order to challenge strangers and see their strategies (if they have one, that is) and compare them to his own, as well as adapt so that his list of offence and defence was going to be prepared for any outcome! That was the only point for him to actually even move into the lobby... let alone do a lame round of turf.
Watching her in complete confusion as to why she was wearing his hat, let alone striking such a dumb pose with it, some of the other inklings/octolings in the lobby scurried away even more so than they already did -- clearly not wanting to be part of this in case the white inkling was about to have some angry outburst; though instead, he simply watched her intently and wanting to understand just why she was approaching him: was she trying to challenge him on the battlefield? Was she trying to mock him? There was no logical explanation in his head -- perhaps she mixed him up with his twin brother, though even so, he doubted that his brother would like someone as quirky as that girl...
Upon her question how he would rate the look on her, he was even more so confused -- was that some kind of taunting tactic?! Grimacing a little more irritated now, he lifted one brow at her as he narrowed his eyes more and more. “A rating? Since you don’t understand what it means to wear a hat like that, it would be a one from me. Disrespect is the last thing I would tolerate. Especially from a girl.” Once she decided to sit down right next to him, he took the chance to grab his hat back and place it onto his head accordingly, not as messy or lazy as she had done before on herself -- now that he thought she was done with her antics, he -- yet again -- had been caught off-guard by her mouth running faster than her brain probably.
“Huh?!” Getting asked to play turf with her surely wasn’t something he had expected -- especially since nobody ever asked him unless he pinned them down with appointments and whatnot. Though the more so outrageous part of it had been that she explicitly wanted to turf with him -- out of all things, turf?! Perhaps she was too terrified to league or rank... or maybe just too bad. She didn’t look like the competitive type, though that also wasn’t something he’d expect from girls in general. “I don’t really turf... I am waiting on my team... they should’ve been here an hour ago...” Checking his phone yet again, he was getting more and more impatient as well as he was getting annoyed that they weren’t on time as they usually were ---- only to realise that his message hadn’t been sent for whatever reason and was stuck on ‘try again?’ ever since. Upon this realisation, Shiro couldn’t exactly admit to his own fault, neither was he going to point it out to this stranger ---- it would be way too embarrassing to point out that he had been goofing up so bad.
Shoving his phone back to his pocket, he had to think quickly in order to make up some excuse, sighing deeply once he came up with something. “Looks like my team ditched because of Grizz Co. -- so I guess I am free. Doesn’t mean that I am happy about turfing with you -- there’s not even a reward for that.”

it was nice to be around someone that wasn’t constantly grinding on her nerves. kiiro was a good change from the normal rowdy group. they’d grown closer to each other because of their matching docile personalities. unlike orenji, he was not the type to raise his voice or run around. she could appreciate anyone that was not constantly in search of something to do. they could just sit around and relax – not needing to be speaking the entire time neither. they would just enjoy having the other one present. with her indecisiveness, it was often a burden on the other to have to make all of the decisions, but she liked to think that he understood her more than most.
“u-uh, yea sure.” looking at the stack of video games, she could feel herself getting a bit nervous. what if she picked one that he didn’t like? with a shaky hand, she picked up an idol game & showed it to him. “do you like these?” it was clear that his opinion was more important to her than her own.
Since he knew better than to have the smaller around his more so adult-oriented content, he sorted out already anything that she may question; even if they had been knowing each other for as long as they could probably remember, Kiiro did not want her to think of him any less. It was really hard at times to keep his hands to himself whenever she was around him -- especially since she had those incredible curves compared to other inkling girls! -- but it would be rather dumb to make a move.
Seeing how she was struggling to make a decision, he tended his head at her upon her question, nodding, “I picked out my favourites.” reassuring her then, he might as well just grab one of them and call it a day, but he wanted to be polite to his guest after all. “Let’s go with that one?” Picking one out then, he held it up for her to see, and grab if she wanted to read the back of the case, though he doubted that.
While he offered her to read the content, he slowly moved his gaze towards her cleavage and was pretty obviously staring at her chest, though he would avert his glance back up to her eyes the moment he’d notice the smallest movement.

the biggest reason that he hadn’t recognized his friend’s feelings was that he wasn’t thinking about the possibility of him being with another guy. he was always so accustomed to being with women that it was strange for him to do those same things with someone of the same sex. it had nothing to do with him being homophobic either! he really had no opinion on that kind of thing, he simply didn’t consider it for himself. kuro had no problem with those of the same sex being together, but thinking about himself with another guy was a little strange at first. though, when he thought back to it … a lot of the things that him & akai would do were pretty questionable from the start.
he didn’t want to be treated as the man’s girlfriend at all – it wasn’t that he was necessarily fragile about his masculinity, he more so thought that kind of thing would interfere with their friendship in ways that he didn’t want. when it came to sexual acts, he really didn’t mind taking the submissive role ( with a girl or a boy ), since he was a sucker for pain. while he appeared to be the kind of guy that didn’t let anyone push him around, in the right situation he found it to be enjoyable. that being said, he wouldn’t allow anyone to put him in that position … only someone that he was romantically involved with. when it came to hook ups, he would never allow the woman to be in control, only because he didn’t want them to mix his enjoyment up with sentimental feelings. it was important to him that he was in control & that those interactions did not mean anything to him past sexual pleasure. the fact that akai was ‘prettier’ than him, or not as built wasn’t something that bothered him. he knew that his friend didn’t allow anyone to push him around, but he wouldn’t like to look like he did – from first glance, the red inkling seemed as if he would be too friendly, but kuro on the other hand was intimidating to anyone that saw him; he wouldn’t have liked it to be any other way.
having the other laughing at him only made him want to smack him – he refrained, but it was incredibly tempting. it was true that he wasn’t as scary as people made him out to be. anyone that was close to him would know that he was actually a pretty decent person past all of that, he just grew up in rough circumstances. out of everyone, akai likely knew the most about this ( besides his brother of course ), since he was the one person that he was actually willing to open up & recollect the things that happened in his childhood to. as the other continued to laugh, he couldn’t help but smack his fist gently into the man’s chest to show that he wasn’t having it. it was embarrassing to not only feel nervous about all of the romantic gestures that were given to him, but also to be laughed at for getting flustered. he shouldn’t have been so irritated about it, since he would have done the same to someone else.
the moment that his boyfriend placed his hands onto his shoulders, kuro realized what kind of situation he got himself into. now he was stuck between the door & akai – he hated to think that he was still nervous, but he couldn’t bring himself to calm down that quickly. the moment that he tried to act arrogantly towards the taller, he balled his fists in the front of the man’s shirt to pull him in. smashing his lips roughly against the others, he knew that kissing was one thing that he could pretty easily keep up with. as long as it wasn’t something like talking about feelings or being treated kindly he could manage. opening his mouth to kiss him harder, he wanted the other to invade his mouth without having to say he wanted him to. letting out a soft sound against akai’s lips, he hoped that it would get the point across.
Frankly, even if Akai was a bit more approachable than Kuro, it wouldn’t change the fact that he preferred the black inkling over anyone else -- despite his hostile nature towards anyone else, the red inkling knew that he was better than his act. And that he had his weak spots just like anyone else, too. Seeing him get all flustered over gentle gestures such as a bouquet or telling him that he was cute as all hell was more than enough to prove just how soft his boyfriend could be -- but that would not equal in him being weak or a push-over. It was true that his counterpart was completely fine with him taking the lead in certain situations -- at first, he was a bit surprised, but in the end, he figured that Kuro simply trusted him so much that he’d let him do his own thing without having to bend to the other’s will. Since Akai wasn’t the type to (ab)use people for fun, or toy with their trust, there was absolutely nothing there to worry about either -- even if he loved to tease the man for his frazzled nature the moment he’d toss a compliment or cheesy line towards his direction, it was all fun and games and never ever meant to actually hurt anyone.
Considering that the two of them were basically childhood friends, there wasn’t much of anything that Akai did not know of the other, as well as the other way around. It was no secret to him how he and his older twin grew up ---- but perhaps that was all the more reason to shower him in affection and love as much as he could. Even if it was not going to fix him completely, and even if it wasn’t going to make those cruel events undone, nullify them entirely, he wanted to be that source of warmth and security that Kuro probably never had. Even if Shiro probably stuck up to him plenty of times, they were two peas in a pot, and it wasn’t hard to tell that the older sibling, too, had his issues with emotions and how to deal with them. It took someone as grounded as the red inkling to actually find that balance between pushing the limit but still remaining in a comfort zone for the black inkling. Chuckling as quietly as he could when the (slightly) taller pressed his fist into his chest, he grabbed his wrist and pulled his fist up to place a gentle kiss to his knuckles rather playfully. “Ah, you know how much I love when you’re getting rough like that...” Teasing him verbally, he didn’t break eye contact as he kept his lips against his white knuckles, though massaging the back of his hand in hopes that he’d loosen up and relax a bit -- he really did not want him to freak out like that, he solely wanted to be as affectionate as he possibly could be.
It honestly came to no surprise that the other was not having any of it and pulled him in for a rough kiss instead; Akai semi-expected something like that since he knew just how bad his boyfriend was about voicing his feelings and such, he always had been more of a hands-on-type than anything else. Looking at him through lidded eyes for a moment before he leaned in a little more, he didn’t have to be invited twice -- the moment he felt Kuro’s mouth opening, he rolled his tongue against his, playfully moaning into his mouth, “Ah, so rough... what a nasty boy...” before chuckling and wrapping his arms around his neck a little tighter to keep him as close as possible, despite the roughness of the kiss he still had to give it his rather lovey-dovey flair.
Nibbling on his lips for a moment, he smirked lightly. “Since you’ve dragged me into your apartment, I presume I am not going to take you out on a date and we skip the whole ‘buy me dinner first’ thing and go right into your field of expertise?”

this was her first valentine’s day & she was super excited about it. she was glad that enyou didn’t reject her when she asked him to go on a date with her for the day. she hoped that he would be patient with her, since she didn’t know much about what kind of things to do for that day. seeing him without a mask was new to her, but she wasn’t disappointed at all. the moment that she met up with him, she immediately pointed out the fact that he was not wearing it. “you have no mask, you look cute.” she told him, staring at his features for a moment. she couldn’t help but take in his facial features, since she usually was only seeing his eyes. when he grabbed her hand, she smiled and said. “this is exciting, yes? i am glad to spend this valentine’s day holiday with you.” while momo’s speaking was improving, there were still situations where her wording was completely awkward to someone that spoke it natively.
walking alongside him, she was more so leading him where she would like to go. dragging him to a clothing store, she stood in front of the entrance & looked over at him. “is it unromantic if i ask for help finding clothes that are more normal? i don’t feel like i fit in well.” she said softly, hoping that he would be fine with the idea of helping her find clothing that would make her look less like an outsider. what she had now was very … octarian in nature, with tight skirts & half cut shirts.
With Momo’s compliment addressing his facial features, the blue inkling felt his face heat up a little bit; usually he wasn’t letting people see his face, and even when he did they didn’t pay too much attention to him either way -- he always had that drowsy type of expression adorning his face (unless he completely sobered up), so most people thought of him more so of a creepy dumb dirtbag than anything else. A dorky smile creeping up onto the corners of his lips as he looked down to the ground momentarily to think of something to say in return. “U-Uh... thanks... you look... cute too, yes...” Perhaps ‘cute’ wasn’t his choice of words since his jargon was more so tilting towards ‘sexy’ or ‘hot’ but Enyou wasn’t stupid enough to think that this was going to be the type of compliment his counterpart would want to hear -- at least not at the moment.
While she expressed her excitement for the holiday and how she was able to spend it with the blue inkling, he really did not fully understand just why she would’ve asked him in the first place; he may have been taller than Kuro, granted, but he was just as lean as anyone much smaller than him -- there were more visually appealing guys than him, who (on top of that) weren’t completely stoned out of their mind most of the time! Perhaps she wasn’t understanding the extent of his drug abuse, or she simply underestimated his personality for being a more docile and relaxed type when he really was not. But he’d be stupid to turn down a pretty girl like her! Even if such romantic humbug such as Valentine’s Day wasn’t exactly his forté, he could safely say that he was the type to adjust to any type of situation easily. As long as he was not required to make suggestions and actually trying his hardest to come up with something decent, they were good to go. “Yeaaaaaah, like... I usually don’t do that whole Valentine’s thiiiiiing... pretty exciting, yeah.” Merely agreeing with her since he had no idea what else to say, blinked at her for a moment to take in that adorable expression of hers.
Having her lead him towards a clothing store wasn’t anything that had been too surprising for him; after all, he was pretty open-minded about how to spend a holiday like that -- especially since he had nothing to compare it to -- but with her reasoning behind going to this store he felt a little nervous. “Wait, whaaaaaaat?” Dragging out his voice as he leaned his head back to stare at her in a shocked manner, his eyes still droopy even when he opened them the slightest. He couldn’t possibly be of any serious help to her, right?! If anything, her outfit looked fine to him -- the shorter, the better! The kind of leather-optic was really nifty, too! But he could not possibly say that to her face ---- she had caught up onto the fact that she stood out with her more so octarian-type of attire, but to see her in inkling clothing may or may not be a little bit of a drag. He had to really work his brains now. “Uh... uh, sure, yeaaaah. I’ll help you find your new outfit, doooooll, ehehe.” Moving into the building with Momo still holding onto his hand, the taller of the two turned his head left and right in order to find the right direction; eventually, his eyes caught sight of the interesting type of attire: school uniforms, maid dresses as well as all sorts of costumes. Really, the pink octoling girl should’ve known better than to ask someone like Enyou for his help on that. Walking over with her, he pulled out the school uniform, eyed it up and down before holding it up in front of her body, nodding. “That’ll do, no? Those are pretty cuuuute, right?”

he wasn’t expecting everything to be normal with enyou when he was sober – usually whenever people would do these kinds of things to themselves, there was a reason for it. clearly the taller was trying to hide some kind of trauma from his past with his substance abuse, but that didn’t change the fact that it was still not a good coping mechanism. haiiro wasn’t so sure what would help the other, but he at least wanted to try & be someone that he could trust whether he was sober or not. he’d seen the man sober plenty of times for matches & it was a gruesome sight, but he was confidant that the blue inkling had it in him not to be as cruel towards him. it wasn’t as if he were posing a threat – even if he was an agent, the other still had a big advantage when it came to physique. even if he wanted to over power him, he doubted that it would ever be possible. he was not the shortest of the male inklings, but he was far from the tallest.
making the grey inkling angry was nearly impossible, since his emotions were so null even to himself. it would have taken a lot more to cause him to snap rather than something so small & insignificant as spilling a drink on his furniture; those kinds of things could easily be cleaned. he would much rather see the man drink a little bit, even if that meant his furniture getting a little messy over it. looking at enyou as he spoke, he wasn’t so sure what to say in response. the other was still an adult & he really had no control over him if he really wanted to do something. “you don’t have to be like this. it would just make me happy to see you taking care of yourself properly.” if he decided to leave then & there to go home & get high, haiiro couldn’t do a single thing to stop him. but if he could talk him into trying to find a way to be more conscious of his body & his own needs, he would gladly try his best.
leaning back in his seat, he looked up at the taller silently. closing his eyes for a moment, he tried to think of anything that he could say that could help him, but he really wasn’t so good at these things. it was terrible to think that he was older & yet he still couldn’t help those around him.
During matches it was a whole other scenario with Enyou: he usually projected all of his pent up aggression and anxiety into the objective of splatting anyone in his vicinity so that there was no threat posed to him at all. Though, when he was in an environment such as this one, his more so nervous and twitchy side was visible -- he was not angered or upset, in all actuality he was scared. While Haiiro did not give him any reason to feel that way, in his mind he just was too aware of the situations when he was doing the wrong step or saying the wrong word and causing his family to lash out on him. And since the grey inkling had a more mature vibe to him than any other person the blue inkling had been around with, he simply was put into a situation where he would worry more so about messing up. Therefore, it was highly unlikely that Enyou would try to pull a stunt and harm the other if anything he’d try to be as invisible as possible.
Attempting his best to drink the tea without any spillage, he tensed up visibly since he knew just how bad his anxiety was getting and thus his hands trembling more so than they normally would ---- the only times when he could confidently say that he was ‘more in control’ of his body was when he wasn’t in control at all and just so knocked out with the drugs that he consumed so that he was numbed down. Listening to the smaller’s words, he thought about them for a bit; it was strange to think that anyone would be happy to see him sober, let alone wanting for him to take care of himself. The blue inkling may have been an adult, yes, but he clearly didn’t know anything about how to take care of himself. He was simply stuffing himself with junk food, mostly just snacks when he got the ‘munchies’ as well as indulging in activities that were ruining him more so than helping him cope. Lowering his head a little -- almost like a child that’s been ashamed to look at its parent -- he pursed his lips into a thin line as he thought about how to phrase his thoughts. “I don’t know how to take care of myself properly, though. N... Nobody really t-taught me.” Becoming more twitchy with the fear that he would get slapped across the face for being so dumb, he felt his throat becoming dry so he took a massive sip from the mug to rinse down that horrible feeling. Still avoiding eye contact, he was too terrified to be faced with a stern expression since that’s all he ever received from those older than him. “Everyone likes me better when I am the butt of the joke anyway, so I don’t get it. Shouldn’t it make you h-happier when you see me high off my ass?”
Placing the mug onto the coffee table next to the couch since he was being too panicky about spilling anything, he felt extremely exhausted from how much his body was twitching and shivering, so he just moved closer to his counterpart and rested his head onto Haiiro’s lap, curling up on the spot; it may be a very childish move on his behalf, but he couldn’t help the feeling of fear and anxiety in the pits of his stomach and the need for some comfort. Even if it may weird the other out, Enyou didn’t care too much about what others thought of him ---- as long as he could find a little peace of mind while he remained right there, then it was fine. As long as the smaller was not going to push him away, that is.

she couldn’t help but cough the moment the smoke hit her lungs, causing her throat to feel incredibly dry. orenji wasn’t the type to be invested in drug use, but ever since she started dating the man she got a bit more curious about why he did these things all of the time. the moment that the high hit her, she was laying down on his bed completely out of it. her eyes went completely half lidded & she felt as if she could hardly keep them open. hearing his voice, she peeked over at him with a hazy gaze. “my whole body feels so weird.” the orange inkling said softly, leaning her head against his shoulder.
it didn’t take a whole lot of puffs for her to feel high, since she’d never done this kind of thing before. she was used to smelling it & having the smoke around her whenever she was at his house, but taking a big inhale straight from the blunt was harsher than she expected. slumping against the taller, it was a good thing that he was so much bigger than her. giggling softly while she laid there, she didn’t know what was so funny to her … but she just couldn’t stop herself from laughing.
Seeing her so out of it was strange, but he had expected something like that to happen -- after all, if she hadn’t consumed those things before, then surely it would hit her even harder. Watching her as she snuggled up against him, he wrapped his arm around her to pull her closer, burying his face into her hair before kissing her head gently. “Yeaaaah, but it’s a good kinda weiiiiird, isn’t it?!” Snorting along to her giggling, even if he wasn’t sure what she was laughing about, he too was quick to laugh about just about anything, really, especially when he heard her cute type of laughter.
Finishing up his blunt, it really didn’t have the same heavy effects o him as the few puffs had on the orange inkling, but he didn’t mind in the slightest. Snipping the small part into his ashtray, he didn’t bother to take it out beforehand -- instead, he just turned to look at her intently. While she was so out of it and amused by anything and everything around her, he couldn’t help but feel even more attracted to her. Sure, he would always love her -- even for her hyperactive personality in heavy contrast to his own, laid-back and very relaxed one, but her goofy smiles just made his stomach even more tingly now. Cupping her face with his free hand, he made her look up to him so that he could kiss her, not hesitating to use his tongue too since he was just forward like that.
“Daaaaamn, didn’t know you could be any cuter, Orenjiiiii...” Chortling lowly against her lips, he placed his hand onto the nape of her neck so that he could keep her in place and close, diving in for another kiss, just a little rougher this time.

it didn’t bother haiiro in the slightest to have someone younger pushing him around. he would have felt more stranger if it were the other way around, since he was quite a bit older than shiro. as long as the taller was moving at a pace that he wanted to & he wasn’t feeling pressured into it, he didn’t mind. the grey inkling didn’t want to appear as if he were just taking advantage of someone younger than him, he wasn’t the type to worry about whether or not he was looking foolish, so he didn’t mind being submissive for him. knowing the militant inkling better than most, he was fully aware of the fact that he would enjoy this a lot more if he was in charge regardless, since he wasn’t the type to have a personality that enjoyed to be dominated. in the smaller’s case, he had no preference when it came to the matter, he simply enjoyed being close to him. even if he was the weaker of the two, he wouldn’t have hesitated to try & push him away if he was doing something that he didn’t approve of. since he had a certain amount of trust for the taller, he didn’t think that he would ever have to beg or plead him to stop if he was feeling uncomfortable.
kissing him back should have been enough of an indication in haiiro’s mind that he was not against the touches. aside from that, he could hardly stop himself from pressing his body against shiro’s. it was animalistic in instinct, but he couldn’t deny the pleasure that he got from it. he wished that as the older, he could control himself a bit better, but that didn’t mean that he was entirely immune to the effects of hormones. especially not when he could smell them so strongly off the white inking, only causing his own to run wild. when the other pressed his hips into him harder, he couldn’t help but arch his back ever so slightly & gasp against his neck. catching himself slacking off to enjoy the feeling, he quickly moved back to press kisses along his jaw, then trailed down to his collarbone – his free hand gingerly pushing shiro’s shirt off to the side so he could reach, exposing one of his shoulders in the process.
accidentally, he bit down on the other’s thumb when he grabbed his privates roughly – it wasn’t painful, more so unexpected. a soft groan followed & he opened his eyes slightly to catch a peek at what the man was doing. having his bottoms completely stripped off in one movement wasn’t something that he saw shiro doing, but it also wasn’t like him to mess around. with the kind of person he was, he wouldn’t doubt that the younger was impatient and impulsive when it came to these things. haiiro watched as his hands went to his own trousers to undo them, only moving them out of the way enough to free his sex. he couldn’t say that he was too surprised at the other’s size, since he was so tall … but it was definitely bigger than he’d seen before. melting into the kiss the moment he was being touched, he heard the taller tell him to touch him in return. hooking his legs around the man’s hips, he pulled him closer. reaching down to move his hand from his member, he pressed another kiss to his mouth while his sex moved to wrap around the other’s. closing his legs tighter around shiro’s hips, he wanted to get as close to him as he possibly could. the feeling of his wetness mixing together with his partner’s only caused him to moan louder into his mouth. saliva ran down his chin from before, making him worry that he might still be drooling while they kissed.
On the other hand, Shiro was a bit too naive on the matter as to think that it was anything bad to be the submissive one for someone he looked up to -- even if Haiiro was older than him, it would also mean that he certainly had more experience at hand, thus he would not feel awkward about it, or as if he was being taken advantage of. Though, as long as his counterpart wasn’t going to complain about their positions, he wasn’t going to change anything about it -- being in charge surely was something the white inkling enjoyed more than he should’ve, but since the grey inkling already figured that one out, there was nothing further to explain on that matter.
It drove him crazy to watch Haiiro move his body like that against him, since he hadn’t expected the other to get into the mood so quickly -- he was completely unaware of what his own hormones had been doing to the grey inkling since he was unable to smell them, but he figured that as long as he was enjoying himself, this was fine. With each kiss that he received down his jawline to his collarbones, he exhaled shakily and groaned lowly, biting down his lower lip since he was so into each and every single touch that he received thus far; Shiro really wasn’t hard to please, but since he wasn’t someone who’d receive those kinds of affection a lot, it was no surprise that his reactions would be all the more intense now.
Following the man’s movements as he hooked his legs around his hips like that, he peeked down to watch what he was doing, expecting him to actually just give him a handjob, but instead Haiiro moved to have their sexes entangled like that; twitching lightly at the feeling he closed his eyes as they kissed, feeling hot and cold showers run down his spine each time that the grey inkling was moaning into his mouth; it was such a different sight of the usually collected and very monotone older inkling, when now he was a little looser. Diving in to kiss him roughly, he returned the favour of grunting into his mouth, he too was struggling with the amount of saliva in his mouth, but it was dripping into his partner’s mouth either way due to looming over him like that. Bucking his hips against him repeatedly, despite the wet, slippery and quite satisfying feeling around his length, he still wanted more friction; moving one arm underneath the other’s neck, he kept him close as he panted against his lips. “More... I want... you to touch me rougher than that...”
