The Davao We See (June 2018)
Had a really great time walking along this street and felt right at home. Every time I go back to my hometown, I always try to live a “normal"day to day life, to somehow feel like I never left. However, each year that I visit, it gets more and more like a different city. Davao has changed rapidly and I know it’s inevitable so in times where I feel that familiarity, in the things i see, the food i taste, or the scent i smell, i always feel giddy. I wish i can bottle up that sort of feeling!
BTW, if you're curious you can see those beautiful street art along Torres Street, near Assumption Church. It's by @tatak_a on instagram.

My family and I spent the second of the New Year on Currumbin Beach, Gold Coast. We thought we’ll give ourselves another rest day for the busy holiday season we had. In reflection, i realised that I went to a lot of beaches and nature trips last year and I have not posted any on this blog. Because of that, one of my 2018 goal is to update this blog more often and to post my past travels as well. I will be posting more, even non-sense stuff, even not so nice photos, for the sake of memories 💖

It has been raining for the past two weeks here in Brisbane and forecast says it will also be a rainy week come Monday, but today has been nice. My sister and I decided to drive and take photos with the beautiful Jacaranda trees before Spring ends. Brisbane sure looks lovely with all the different pop of colours. Here’s to hoping for more sunny days!

I was a bridesmaid during my friend’s wedding last march and I planned to take film photos during the weekend of the wedding so that I can give it to the couple as a gift, but somehow this is the only photo that came out post processing. SAD :( I don’t know if it’s because i’ve travelled with the film through airport security scans or if i’m just hopeless with film.

For the first time in a while, I went out of the house this morning to go to a household meeting. I have been caught up with unfinished Uni work and time management and have been failing to pray, reflect, give thanks, or even do anything productive for that matter. Last night, I slept with a heavy heart because once again I ended the day with my assignment unfinished. I wrote about it and slept. This morning, I was with YFCs and I prayed with them, offered petitions with them, and shared stories with them. After that meeting, I passed by a church and spent time just in silence. I wanted to pray but my mind was all over the place and I could not concentrate at all. Maybe this got me really tired because when I got home just after 2:00pm, I slept until dinner time! Today, I realised a lot about life’s purpose. Not necessarily my life’s purpose but A life’s purpose. The Lord directed me to read blogs and publications that talks about it and I felt that He is helping me makes sense of what I am going through right now. I feel like everything I wrote yesterday, He just answered and made me realise a lot of things. “Laziness, Passiveness, Grumbling, and Pride are the four things that inhibits you to find your own purpose” God already planned everything for me and all I have to do is love HIm, pray for His guidance, and serve His people.

/ Iced Caramel Latte at Metro Mackay, April 2016.
I have an hour before I go back to work again and I just want to update my blog of how life is going lately. It’s more than halfway through April now and it’s the time where I have essays due, which means it is the time when I PROCRASTINATE a lot. Anyway, here’s a collage I made daydreaming of my next adventure while I coffee my system up so I can squeeze all the energy I need into ticking all of my To-Do list.
