I had a particularly difficult day. What do you fellow infjs do to feel better? For now I'll stick around to answer some questions (if anyone has any)

INFJ moment #27
The idea that you might not be able to fix your flaws genuinely scares you.

"I'm just thinking. No, I'm not sad, I'm Ok."

Looks can be deceiving. I may look like I’m not doing anything, but what I do requires some imagination and processing, while staring off into space.

To young INFJs
I just read my diary that I wrote when I was about 16. I just want to tell all young INFJs that it does get better. You’ll learn how to not get hurt by people. You’ll learn how to shut down negative thoughts. You’ll still be the perfectionist you’ve always been and probably still really hard on yourself, but you’ll also realize that’s what pushed you to get where you are now. You’ll also learn how to distance yourself from other people’s emotion, and finally understand not everything is your fault. You probably don’t believe when someone says you this kind of hopeful things. It's hard to imagine yourself being that strong and determined, I know. But you have always been like that. You just need to let more things happen to you and shape you. Don't be afraid of emotion, don't be afraid of new things. Remember, the best quality of you is the ability of reflecting past experiences to become a better version of you.

Think too much and you’ll create a problem that wasn’t there in the first place.

Do you think that people are usually amused/amazed when they know that introverted people like electronic music? Maybe because I am appear to be shy and quiet in front of other people. I am a INFJ as well and I enjoy music Indie pop/electronic/rock from artists like Daughter, Warpaint, Purity Ring, Chvrches, FATM, AM, AURORA, Foals and GRIMES and many many more. I am really a music lover. I think i spent ridiculous amount of time on Spotify hahaha.
I got that reaction when people know that I like hiphop. But I guess introverted people spend more time listening to music than extroverted people as it's a way of isolating yourself from the outer world (at least for me). I do spend way too much time on Spotify sorting playlists just for my own enjoyment haha. I like Chvrches and FATM as well! You might enjoy Jamie Woon (unless you already know).

Hi there, I am a fellow INFJ too. Just wondering what kind of music do you like to listen to?
Hey there :) Ohh, I love music. My favorite genres are bass/future house, hip-hop, and general alternative band music. But I do love everything as long as it sounds good to me.
My old favorites are Radiohead, Amy Winehouse, Arctic monkeys, Daft punk, Gorillaz and Epik high (Korean hiphop group) and my new favorites are Disclosure, Frank Ocean, MIA, and FAK twigs.
What kind of music do you guys listen to? I’m curious :)

The Introverted side of INFJs
INFJs probably are the most “outgoing” introverts as they actually engage in conversation even when they don’t know the other people well. Because of this, people don’t see INFJ as shy person. This is because INFJs’ desire of having harmonious environments and not offending anyone outweigh their natural shyness.
For instance, INFJs sometimes crack jokes or talk to everyone when they are in a new social situation, just to make things less awkward for them and other people. They can even be loud in that case. When everyone actually starts to talk to each other, INFJs feel they’ve done their share of work and stay quite.

Book recommendation
Loneliness: Human Nature and the Need for Social Connection
Book by John T. Cacioppo and William Patrick
This is a great book for INFJs who are struggling between one’s perpetuating loneliness and fear of rejection. I don’t agree with some parts but the book does a great job explaining the nature of loneliness and its physiological effects. It will motivate you to break out of (or at least acknowledge) the vicious circle of loneliness.
