What I’m hoping for on Star Wars Day! Tomorrow is May 4th which is the annual holiday to celebrate this incredible franchise. Here are just a couple of my hopes for tomorrow: -A teaser trailer for Star Wars Resistance, the newest animated series that will air this fall -At least one if not more movie announcements since we have no idea what movie(s) will come out after Episode IX next year. I just want to know where we can expect to go in the next few years, will we be seeing a spin-off trilogy, more stand alone films like Rouge One or Solo? Either way I’ll be celebrating Star Wars Day tomorrow! Happy Early May the Fourth be with you!

Avengers Infinity War SPOILER FILLED REVIEW: I cannot stress this enough, this will be filled with ton of spoilers so if you haven’t seen the newest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, stop what you’re doing and go see it before you read this!
Now that you’ve been properly warned, lets move on to spoiler territory. I feel that the Russo brothers did a great job making sure everyone got a good balance of screen time. It would be hard to to point out just one character that was the focus. Everyone that is except Thanos, I would say he was arguably the main character of the whole film. He was perfectly cast with actor Josh Brolin. They really gave the character both cool moments and emotional ones giving us his rationalization for his quest for the 6 Infinity Stones. The film in a way was very much Thanos journey. And I think that’s what helped make the film as good as it was.
The film wasted no time and jumped right into the action having Thanos and his children attacking the ship with the surviving Asgardians, here we see that Thanos already has the Power Stone from Xandar. This is easily one of my favorite scenes in he movie because we see the the Hulk fight Thanos, showing the Hulk getting beaten quite easily. We also see our first two casualties: Heimdall and Loki.
I’m really glad that we saw Loki have his moment of redemption in the end when he tries to kill Thanos. It was a sad moment because who doesn’t love the God of Mischief? But it set the stage for the rest of the movie as Thanos was able to then obtain the Space Stone from that encounter.
The rest of the movie just hits the ground running from there. Shifting it’s focus repeatedly between our separated groups of heroes and occasionally on Thanos as he slowly acquired each Infinity Stone.
The scene where Thanos is going after the Soul Stone was another favorite of mine. We get to see Red Skull for the first time since 2011′s Captain America: The First Avenger, as he guided Thanos and Gamora to it but says that it can only be retried by a sacrifice of what you love. Thanos reluctantly throws Gamora off the cliff and is rewarded with the Soul Stone in exchange for her life.
The deaths in the film were surprising and emotional. Especially Vison’s due to it being Scarlett Witch killing him, and it was all for nothing in the end.  I’m glad that they killed of  good amount of characters, it will be interesting to see how many were “permanent deaths”.
The ending of the film where Thanos snaps his fingers was great, I was hoping that the movie would end on a cliffhanger!
The post credit scene was a great set up for the upcoming 2019 film Captain Marvel, using the ending as a spring board to bring the character into the larger scheme of things. But I hope that they explain why Nick Fury who’s known about her since at least the 90s, (per the Marvel announcement that the solo film was going to be set in the 1990′s) but yet she wasn’t part of the Avengers Initiative?
One thing I want to theorize is that Doctor Strange knew that Tony was the key to stopping Thanos due to his use to the Time Stone, and that everything is still “on track” for them on their one chance of winning. His mention of “This was the only way.” (I’m going off of memory for the quote, so forgive me if I’m a little off) I think Doctor Strange is the only one that really knows how to beat Thanos and is following the necessary steps to do so.
The Russo brothers did a great job with the film. I cant express enough how great of a job they did. The film was incredibly well done and was very fresh. While not my favorite film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s one of the best that Marvel has made. All I can say is that it’s going to be a long wait until May of next year for Avengers 4!

Avengers Infinity War SPOILER FREE REVIEW: Just watched the latest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that’s been building up for the last 10 years since the release of the first Iron Man film from 2008. 19 movies later and here we are, merging some franchises and characters that otherwise have coexisted in the same universe but haven’t met until now, coming together to take on Thanos, the mad titan hellbent on collecting the 6 Infinity Stones that have been scattered throughout the previous movies of the MCU.
I had high hopes for the movie but knowing just ambitious of a project that it was, prepared myself for it to just be “good”. But Marvel delivered an epic movie worthy of the title Infinity War.
While the movie was a serious one, humor was perfectly timed in the Marvel fashion that we’re used to. Which I thought was important to balance out the weight of the story.
The Russo brothers who brought us the Captain America movies The Winter Soldier and Civil War made sure to give everyone get ample enough screen time.
If I had to describe this movie in one word it would be: intense. My wife and I were gripping each others hands so tightly for most of the last half of it. And Thanos proves to be the biggest villain yet, played brilliantly by Josh Brolin.
And the return of composer Alan Silvestri who wrote the score for the first Avengers film to bring us another great composition that really helped set the moods for each scene of the movie.
It’s so hard to write a spoiler free review of this movie when there’s so much to say about this film. All I can say is go see it as quickly as you can before you come across spoilers on social media.
I kept this review as basic as I could because I don’t want to spoil a single thing from the film. I’m going to do a much bigger piece for the spoilers which is where I’m going to go into a lot more depth and detail.
It’s one helluva ride and I cannot wait to see what Marvel gives us next!

Fox recently announced that we will get three films in the X-Men Universe in 2018!!! That's really big news for fans of the franchise, as it shows the studio ramping up to compete with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Extended Universe, and may continue to have three films a year even after 2018!
Which makes me wonder what films we might see for 2019? My guesses would be Gambit, an X-23 film, and another team film of either The Exiles or Alpha Flight (both of which have been talked about as potential future films)
What films would you like to see in 2019 for the franchise?

President of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kenedy confirmed that Princess/General Leia (will not be in Episode IX. This goes against what Carrie Fisher’s brother had said which was that they would use unused footage from The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi for the film.

Today at Star Wars Celebration, the trailer for a little movie called The Last Jedi was revealed. And in it, there was a moment (bottom picture) that I believe could be a flashback scene to when the new Jedi Order created by Luke Skywalker was destroyed.
If that is what the scene is, perhaps it’s not the first time that we’ve seen a part of this scene. In The Force Awakens during Rey’s vision, she sees what appears to be Luke and R2-D2 in front of some sort of fire. The two scenes may not be related.
But seeing the bottom picture pretty much confirms flashbacks for the Episode VIII. I would love to see the new Jedi Order in flashbacks! What are your thoughts on the possible flashbacks?

Star Wars: Shattered Empire offers us one of the first glimpses of what happens after Return of the Jedi. It also happens to be part of the Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens which I’m going to be doing a spoiler free review on each of the JtSW:TFA entries.
Shattered Empire is a 4 part comic mini-series that picks up during the Battle of Endor and shows what happens during the first few months after the deaths of The Emperor and Darth Vader.
The series primarily focus on Shara Bey and her husband Kes and their fight for freedom following the destruction of the second Death Star. Throughout the comics we see all of our favorite characters from original trilogy return.
The art I felt was very well done by Marco Checchetto, I felt he captured the look and the feel not only of the vehicles, but of the characters in well. For example, I felt that in the Princess Leia mini series that her look wasn’t quite captured. But here it’s very well drawn and captured her look perfectly.
With the story written by Greg Rucka, I really enjoyed it and wished that it was a longer. I loved that they focused on two new characters to care about and worry about if they lived or died.
Whereas, when you read something that follows the main characters such as Luke or Han from the saga, as interesting and grand as the stories may be, you know that they will survive.
Due to that, I always relish the opportunities to be on the edge of my seat worried about characters that we don’t already know their fate.
I think that this was a worthy addition to the Star Wars Universe, and can’t wait to read more of the Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens before the films release next month! Keep checking back for more reviews!

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens now has a new trailer that was released today to kick start Star Wars Celebration! Most of you have probably already seen this, so this will be more of my review of the trailer.
In my opinion the first teaser that was released late last year was a perfect way to whet the appetite of the audience. But this one, although it’s still a teaser is even better!  We see a full look at the new Stormtroppers, as well as some of the new Imperial ships. Some of the new characters we see a bit more of.
But my favorite is having Luke’s quote from Return of the Jedi about how the Force is strong in his family while teasing Luke, and Leia and showing a heavily damaged Darth Vader helmet. Really gave a sense of where the series has been and where it’s going.
No major story details have been revealed yet. But it seems as though our “new trio” (Finn, Rey, and Poe Dameron) don’t know each other and will meet in the movie. We saw a bit more of Kylo Ren which did confirm more of what his mask will look like. Looks a lot like Revan from Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. As well as the new symbol of the Empire looks similar to the Sith Empire symbol from Star Wars The Old Republic.
Also, at the end we get one line of dialogue from the famous smuggler Han Solo telling Chewbacca “We’re home.” While standing obviously on the Millennium Falcon. Which may indicate that he lost it at some point.
I really like the new teases, mainly of the original characters as well as the “new Empire”. All I know is that December 18th can’t come soon enough!

Lucasfilm announced today that this weekends Star Wars Celebration will be live-streamed from Anaheim! This is exciting news for any die hard Star Wars fan who isn’t able to make the trip out there!
I’m most excited for any Episode VII news (I’m predicting a poster reveal as well as maybe the first official trailer?) As well as, Battlefront footage which is currently being developed by EA as part of an deal made with Disney as part of a multi-year agreement.
I will be posting a lot during Celebration especially now that I can watch it live at StarWars.com! Can’t wait to see the latest news that comes out this weekend!!

Daredevil Review: I’m only part way through the series as I’m writing this (I've watched the first 4 episodes) So this review will pretty much be based on them. I might do another review once I’ve finished the finale.
The first thing that I want to mention is the tone. It’s incredibly dark which I think is a perfect fit for Daredevil. I especially want to point out that Charlie Cox as Matthew Murdock is a perfect fit. I was initially worried about if he fit the role but after watching the first episode I knew that Marvel had chosen the right actor for the role. Whether its scenes as a lawyer, a vigilante, or even a blind man, Charlie Cox proves that he can pull off the Man without Fear.
The supporting cast really compliments the show nicely as well as expands the story. I’ve been really impressed with the structure of the shows story as they have made each episode really stand out on its own, with each new episode arises new challenges but really starts to escalate as the show progresses.
There isn’t as much action as one might expect from the first four episodes while instead the episodes focus much more on story telling. But when there is action the choreography is really great, I’ve been impressed with some of the moves. And that's all for this review for now so far I would give it 4.5 out of 5!

Kevin Feige confirms that the next Spider-Man will be a teenage Peter Parker! This ends the question of whether or not we would see Miles Morales swinging into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
For those of you who don’t know who Miles Morales is, he was the second Spider-Man in the Ultimate Marvel series. He’s a teenager of Black Hispanic descent. And many fans thought that the MCU would use him for their Spider-Man seeing as how this will be the THIRD Spidey that we’ve had in a decade!
I could certainly see why they would’ve chosen Miles over Peter. However, I’m happy to see that it will be Peter Parker for the new films as he’s always been one of my favorite characters!

Avengers 3 News: Joss Whedon to step down from screenwriting duties as  Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are all but confirmed by Marvel to be the screenwriters for both parts of the highly anticipated Avengers 3!
You may not be familiar with their names but you’re familiar with their Marvel works: Captain America: The First Avengers, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and the other upcoming Marvel film Captain America: Civil War.
While I was looking forward to another entry from Joss Whedon, it looks as though we’ll have to see Avengers: Infinity War Part I & II without him. I’m hoping to hear that he’s still involved in some capacity with the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
