Why Are Feet Eurekas Like this...

I can't tell if my graphics settings are just too low or if feet Eurekas are generally just really underwhelming compared to head and hand Eurekas. And I don't even like most of the hand ones that much. I feel like the pictures hype them up to be something super pretty and spectacular, but then I equip them and the effects are kinda pathetic honestly. For example one of the new ones, Moonlit Ode, in the icon looks like it makes a really cool mist of clouds around your feet. When I actually put it on however... it's just two tiny pathetic little clouds around your ankles. It's so disappointing, and from a 5 star eureka too! It could be super cool, but it's just kinda not for some reason? Pretty much all the head and hand ones are what they are on the tin, so it's so odd to me that feet Eurekas got left out.

It might be my graphics settings, I have them set to medium on pc. On ultra on my ipad they don't look much different though. It also looks like only some of them do something when you run around. Like when I start moving Moonlit Ode and Dream Waltz just straight up disappear. No ripples no streaky clouds, nada. On my ipad at least First Snow makes bubbles trail behind you when you move. I wish all of them did that. The point of Eurekas is to add a bunch of magical glittery effects yeah? Another example Lullaby, you can barely see the shooting stars. They're so small, go by so fast, and appear kinda infrequently. I like Starlight, a 3 star Eureka, more because it consistently stays around your feet and it stays there when you move. I wish they would make all the feet Eurekas, especially the 5 star ones, just as spectacular and interesting looking as the head and hand ones. I have a lot more opinions on Eurekas but I felt really strongly about this right now, and also I have to sleep soonish.

Dance Till Dawn Bug

I haven't seen anyone else talk about this so maybe it's only happening to me. I keep experiencing this bug where when I wear the evolved dresses from Dance Till Dawn and the camera is too far away my Nikki's skin glitches and turns pale when I have the darkest skin tone equipped. On ipad it happens with all three I think but on pc it's just the evolutions. I filed a bug report for it, but it's so sad. Luckily I mostly play on pc and it's easy enough to keep the camera close enough to avoid the bug but far enough that I can still see around me. It sucks I have to play around that bug at all though. It's so weird because that doesn't happen at all with other similarly shaped dresses. Still love the dress though! It doesn't happen when I take nice pictures so that's good.

Almost feeling the fomo

This game has less fomo than some other gachas I've played because all the clothes are basically purely aesthetic. Like yeah yeah 5 star sets have better stats, but nobody actually pulls for stats in this game (I think anyway). I've only felt a little bit of fomo and that's for two items, the fairy wings, and the boa. Especially the wings, I honestly didn't realize how much I wanted to live my fairy moment until they were long gone tbh. I don't think I would pull for them even though I do like them and wish I had them.

Getting any specific 5 star gacha item is just too expensive even with ocean's blessing. That's up to 100 pulls for one thing I might use a handful of times, and a bunch of other things I never really wanted in the first place. Like sure I could do that, but why waste potentially 100 pulls on one item when I could have an entire set and it's evolution that I might like way more for 80. Honestly I've been thinking a lot about the value between the 5 star + 4 star banners and the 4 star only banners. Just looking at the 4 stars themselves: if you want the entire set of a 4 star that's paired with a five star you have to spend maximum 80 pulls (assuming it has 8 pieces which most of them do I think). On four star only banners you get the entire set and it's evolution for that many pulls. On top of that, the 4 star only banners also get 3 extra outfit pieces in their deep echoes. So, if you spend 40 pulls on that banner you get 11 items total. 19 if you get the evolution.

It's so sad because I really would have liked those wings, but if it meant I would have missed getting Dance Till Dawn, I would be soooooo sad. Now there's a eureka that gives a similar vibe so I don't have to miss the wings too hard anymore. Personally, I don't wanna pull on a 5 star banner unless I really really like the entire set. Example of course, Dance Till Dawn. I'm not even sure why I like it so much, it's just so frilly and glittery and cute it just makes my heart so happy to look at it. I'm happy I'm picky and don't like every single thing that comes out. I don't mean that in like a weird hipster "my tastes are so refined way", but more in a "this is really cute/cool/neat, but I'll pass this time" way. I appreciate a lot of sets and I can see why other people like them, but I'm fine with holding onto my diamonds until I can find something that makes me fall head over heels completely in love again.

I did make the mistake of pulling a bunch on the Daughter of the Lake set so I could get the bag in the deep echoes. I thought I wanted it but honestly I haven't really found a use for it yet. I do quite like the Lake set, but I'm not in love and I don't think I'll wear it much over other sets in the future. Except for that veil. I love love love wedding dresses and I will 100% make a wedding dress outfit for myself when I can get my hands on a white or light purple gown. I don't outright regret it because of that and I think I actually like it slightly more than Whispers of the Waves... I was in love with it when the game came out, but something about how it ended up looking on my character was just, idk tbh. I like the pink one now that I have it. I think it's the amount of contrast the gloves (?) have on my character's skin. This is why I wish I could preview dresses on other skin tones.

Not knowing who will win between the fear of missing out vs the fear of regretting your pulls later is a little scary, but it's just the territory of gacha games I guess.
