Honestly? Everyday is still a struggle. I wish I was dead almost everyday. But at the same time, life is good. I am 23 and I bought my own house all by myself. Which I am super proud of. Granted everyday a new problem starts at this house but it's worth it because it's mine.

a/n: this is my first piece of writing after a loong hiatus, hopefully yall like it. I just started school so I’ve been busy as hell, and it looks like I’ll only be writing/posting when I have breaks from school, so sorry about that!!! Tagging some mutuals, lmk if you wanna be a part of my taglist!!

to say you were proud of tom was a huge understatement. having been dating him for only a year, you’d only attended one premiere with him so far, the endgame premiere a couple months before far from home, so you were super excited (to say the least) to attend his premiere. 

of course, being the center of a movie on this large of a scale, tom couldn’t help but feel the nerves creep up. thankfully, he had you. he couldn’t imagine getting through this premiere without you, hell, he couldn’t even imagine getting through life without you. tom never had a problem with the people in his life keeping him grounded, his family constantly kept him humble, and they made sure of it. 

but there was just something about you that was a constant reminder of the humility he always strives to keep, even as his career skyrockets. he had fallen in love with someone who led a normal life, for lack of a better term. your life was never a life of fame, and tom admired that so much. that’s why everyday he thanked his lucky stars he had you by his side, and today was no different. 

as nelli and her team put the finishing touches on his burgundy suit (which he looked absolutely stunning in), he took one more look in the mirror, stressfully inhaling and exhaling.

he didn’t know why he was feeling so nervous, he had gone through this process plenty of times before. far from home was his favorite film yet, the one that meant the most to him, so he felt as if there was a lot more riding on this film.

he held in all this tension until you appeared from the bathroom, immediately sensing his stress. he took in the sight of you as you walked up to him, melting into your touch when you wrapped your arms around his neck.

you knew he didn’t want everyone to know how nervous he was, so you whispered your comforting words into his ear. 

“what’s wrong, bub?�� 

you felt his calloused hands snake around your waist, completely giving in. 

“i dunno love, just suddenly feelin’ a little nervous.”

 he barely got the words out, chuckling and hanging his head down as he spoke. he didn’t tell you the whole truth, that he was feeling so nervous that a small part of him wanted to blow off the premiere and stay in with you, but he didn’t have to. you both knew that, asking him what was wrong was just a formality. 

“there’s no reason to be nervous tom. i know you love the film with all your being, i do too. it seriously is the best spiderman film ever, you and i both know that. people are going to love it just as much as you do bub. you even got the approval from rdj, the man himself!

trust me, there’s nothing to be nervous about. plus, you’ll have me there right there with you every step of the way. remember, turn nerves into excitement.”

like always, your words brought him back to earth. you knew him like the back of your hand, and vice versa, so you always knew the right thing to say, even if it wasn’t something he’d want to hear. in this case, it was. 

tom smiled and chuckled at your words. he thought back on when he first heard that advice, pondering the meaning. it was at moments like these when he thought to himself how lucky he was to have you.

letting your words linger in his head, he sank into your touch further, pulling you even closer to his chest. the two of you stood there for a moment, completely wrapped in each other, taking each other in. his silence didn’t worry you, you knew he was okay. what was worrying you was the fact that if you stood there for a minute longer, you’d be late. 

when he finally pulled away, he couldn’t help but smile at you. his eyes looked deeply into yours and the corners of his mouth creeped up, his non-verbal way of saying thank you. you leaned up on your tip toes to give him a loving and gentle kiss, smiling against his lips. he took one hand away from your waist to cup your cheek as he returned the kiss, never wanting to pull away.

the clock was working against you however, as you pulled away from each other when you heard nelli clear her throat a few feet away from you. when you finally let go of tom’s lips, you both turned to her and blushed when she gave you a look of warning. 

“as much as i love you two, please wrap it up. we really gotta get going.” 

you looked back at tom and giggled, pulling him closer to you as he apologized to nelli. 

“sorry nell!” 

he took you in one last time, letting out a breath of relief. he pressed a small kiss to your forehead, lingering there for a minute. 

“i love you so much darlin.”

“i love you too bub.” 

he pulled away from you, grabbing his phone from the small coffee table in the middle of the room and shoving it in his pocket while you grabbed your clutch purse. you made your way back over to tom, interlocking your fingers with his as the two of you admired yourselves in the mirror one last time. you lock eyes with each other through the mirror and you give him an encouraging smile. 

“turn nerves into excitement.”

he repeats the words back to you, squeezing your hand slightly.

he’s alright.

Suicide, it’s a topic millions of kids and teenagers think about every single day. But, most of the people who think about suicide don’t actually try to kill themselves, they just have depression and well, no one seems to doesn’t. Do you know how many people could be alive today if someone would stand up for them or said hi even smile at them. But no, this life people are dicks they don’t care there are bullies and no one seems to notice and if they notice they don’t care. This society kills me, because do you know how many people have died from suicide. Tons and there are more happening right now, but we could help. If we all got off our lazy asses and actually seen the signs millions of people could still here. Daughters, sons, mothers, fathers, friends, family. But no, no one cares, maybe because they’re too lazy to notice signs, but the sign is pretty obvious. I’ll give you them, if they take about killing themselves, or having no reason to live, being a burden to others, feeling trapped, and unbearable pain. If their behavior, has an increase use of alcohol or drugs, or looking up ways to kill themselves, such as searching, online for materials or mean, acting recklessly, withdrawing from activities, isolating from family and friends, sleeping too much or too little, visiting or calling people to say goodbye, giving away prized possessions, and aggression. A person’s suicide risk is greater if a behavior is new or has increased, especially if it’s related to a painful event, loss, or change. Their moods are usually one of these or more, depression, loss of interest, rage, irritability, humiliation, and anxiety. And there are many more signs like they stop doing things they love. And, the funny thing is they are showing you these signs, they want your help, they are calling out for help. But, no one is helping them, no one. If you would just pay attention you would see that they are dying inside. 41,149 Americans took their lives in 2013. During that year, someone in the country dies by suicide every 12.8 minutes. And that’s just America. Suicide accounted for 12.6 thousand deaths for every 100,000 people nationwide, making it the country’s 10th leading cause of death. Unlike many other leading causes of death, suicide continues to claim more lives each year. Uncovering the reason for an individual suicide death is complex and challenging. What we know from research is that 90% of the people who die by suicide have a potentially treatable mental disorder at the time of their  death –a disorder that often has gone unrecognized and untreated. See if you would just look you would find out so much. You could save so many lives. Just please, look, listen, help.
