@indecentwarwlf and I put our brains together to design a toxic older woman for Ezri Dax to get with after she and Julian break up, now meet our old pirate lady Daris!

Daris is a pirate-turned-“privateer” (heavy air quotes) who frequents DS9 and causes problems wherever she goes. She is a firm believer in bootstrap theory, cannot read and does not want to learn, has no issue resorting to violence to win a negotiation, and is heavily angling to get Ezri in bed. Also Pel (from the DS9 s2ep07 “Rules of Acquisition”) reappears as a member of Daris’ crew some time after her intro in that ep.

Anyway she’s a terrible person and we love her 🧡

“2 million liters of fresh and clean water delivered in North Gaza since mid-June! Today, we are glad to share with you that we reached a new remarkable milestone in North Gaza of delivering 2 million liters of fresh water. That is the equivalent 666,667 3-liter drinking portions of water OR 4 MILLION small water bottles over the course of the past 5 months. Counting today's deliveries we have provided 2,021,000 liters using 314 trucks in total.

The last milestone we set was on September 20th when we reached 1 million liters. This means that we have been averaging around 15,000 liters every single day in North Gaza and we don't plan to stop! With your support we hope to carry on this mission until the day that our support is no longer needed and all infrastructure in Gaza is restored once again.

Until then, we ask you to continue supporting us. Our campaign serves the people of North Gaza with more than just water. We have also distributed 19074 hot trays of food and food packages, led 10 free medical treatment days, provided 2330 packs of diapers and 629 tins of baby formula, among other initiatives.

palestinians who lived in north gaza are finally being allowed to return to their homes after over a year of relentless displacement. faten (@/familyfaten) is making the long trek back home to where the family lived in jabalia. but for faten, it's a complicated moment, since her future lay outside gaza even before the genocide.

before oct. 2023, faten had gotten engaged. her fiance lived outside of gaza and she was set to travel for their wedding. they've been separated for well over a year, facing nothing but uncertainty. she's endured uncountable losses, somehow found a way to push through every miserable moment with grace, found a way not to collapse under her frustration and her agony and despair. she survived a fucking genocide.

with the borders now open, faten wants nothing more than to finally be reunited with her husband-to-be. this can be a moment of joy, of celebration, of a new beginning that she so, so, SO deserves.
